Hello,I have a problem with initialising the IRS on MD-11 at the following situation.- GNS/GPS enabled- only 15 sec alignment time- I forget to use Initialise IRS* in FMC within the required time when setting the IRSs to NAV so the lights of IRUs are flashing. Therefor I switch them back to off then to NAV again to restart the initialising but whatever I do I cannot use Initialise IRS* in FMC because it says NOT ALLOWED. How can I restart the process if I forget to enter the required data within time? It is a bug or I do something wrong?(Of course if I dont forget it the first time it works properly)Matyas Majzik

Exactly the same problem encountered as on the pic in the previous post. Clean FSX install without any other addon just 747X with latest update then MD-11. MD-11 works flawlessly.Matyas Majzik

Same here. The aircraft properly maintain an FMC speed but it shows an ADD DRAG message. Why?Matyas Majzik

Don't confuse it with AF (anisotrop filtering). On the pictures I don't see significant AA. Matyas Majzik

Try to apply at least 4x quality antialiasing through driver by overwriting fsx settings. (in nvidia control panel)Matyas Majzik

I agree. That would be awesome to have an enchanced failures panel which has options that are not based on a time frame instead of flight. So it would be superb to set how many percent is the possibility that a failure will happen during current flight. Maybe more than one which is selectable. So it would be more realistic this way the failures scenarios to set for example 50% chance to have a failure during current flight. Please consider this feature-Matyas Majzik

The easiest way to resolve this no online situation at home is to grab your mobile phone, connect to your PC with cable or blutooth and go online over your phone. Even if you don't have a mobile internet account at your operator usually you can use it to connect through internet but at a horrible data rate. However activation is only a few kB-s so it is not a problem. Matyas Majzik

I have the same problem. I loaded directly the MD-11 then loaded the cold and dark panel state from where I do the complete initialisation without a flight plan just I specified the runway from I depart without a sid. Also the fmc flight plan page went weird after take off. It tried to display two things at once flashing rapidly even I cant read what on that page anymore. (there were discos I remember but because I had no flight plan) I have XP SP2 with ACCELERATION.Matyas Majzik

Well, this will be my first PMDG product. I always used to fly with PMDG products at my friend's computer but this time I buy for even myself (knowing that my friend will buy this too) because of honoring PMDG staff for their great work.Thank you.Matyas Majzik

Can you describe the differences between PMDG 747 and the real simulator?Are you able to fly that simulator without help just based on your previous PMDG experience?I am very curious,Matyas Majzik

By deleting all saved flight data including panel states from PMDG folder and files from user directory I was able to resolve this issue. I had to create new cold and dark files after deleting the old ones but for now - at least for my last flight - it is working properly.

Creating my own cold and dark panel-save still does not solve this problem. Every time I start from cold and dark I have this issue.Matyas Majzik

In my previous post I forget to mention my configuration.Win XP SP2. No externel special hardware.FSX with Acceleration. And with Ultimate Terrain Europe and FS Global and London Heahtrow Mega Airport. No other addon.2 GB RAM, Core 2 Duo.Matyas Majzik

Here how can I replicate the problem:Take off from TJSJ 08 to TNCM through STT. Load the cold and dark panel come with the installer.Very little, 100 amount of fuel. Set cruising altitude to 26000 ft. Configure everything else. Set MCP Alt to 10000. Take off with To/Ga and VNAV and LNAV initially enabled before take off. After reaching proper altitude. e.g 800 ft. engage auto pilot C. Now fly to 10000 ft where VNAV mode disengages to ALT mode and throttle mode to SPD. From here I am unable to engage VNAV after setting MCP ALT to 26000. I try to press the MCP button, try to press VNAV, try to disconnect AP then reconnect, but it is impossible to reengage VNAV. I can fly to 26000 ft with FL CHG but after reaching 26000 VNAV misteriously clicks in again and it is working for the rest of the flight. Matyas Majzik

I have this problem too.I can recreate it from flying from TJSJ to TNCM with minimal fuel. (default airac) I have loaded the cold and dark come with the installer. I set cruising alt to 24000. Flight plan is (TJSJ) - STT - TNCM with visual aproach 12 miles to runway 09. Initially MCP Alt is 10000 and before takeof i set VNAV and LNAV and I take of without TOGA manually but I engage AP after takeoff.I have XP SP2 with clean install.Matyas Majzik

The update looks fine in FSX. Just a small thing.In flight when I set autobrakes to 1 then back OFF then try to set to RTO then "autobrakes" amber caution message shown on the CDU but the switch actually doesn't move to RTO position. So when I try to set it to RTO in flight accidentally then this message appears. It can be cleared by setting autobrakes to 1 then back OFF. (Previously it crashed to desktop so I am happy) :)However the update looks fine and didn't crash for the first time flight with it.Thanks,Matyas Majzik

Congratulation.I hope your experiences in a real 744 will go into an other service pack of 747X :D

I have the same problem. Autopilot cannot compansate the wind?? I thought that it always try to maintain proper heading. Is it normal?Matyas Majzik

Well, I have several problems related to this. I figured it out that you must exit from FSX after each flight before flying again with PMDG 747X or it cause severe problems including weird panel state or crashes. Matyas Majzik

You have to run FSX in administrator mode. Right click on FSX icon and select Run as administrator...If this does not solve your problem then probably you have to reinstall FSX and PMDG with UAC off and with admin privileges.Hope this helps,Matyas Majzik

Then run Flight Simulator X in administrator mode. That solves this problem.Matyas Majzik

747X running fine on Vista 64 well even during longer trips with high settings with addon scenery. No probs and no OoM-s.Matyas Majzik

If you are using Windows Vista then run FSX in administrator mode. That solves this problem easily.Matyas Majzik

Same problem. Sometimes it can load, sometimes it hangs at loading runway data 0 for 744X.Also after any flight with 744X I have to restart FSX before flying again or cockpit has some wierd switch positions. For example battery is off but engines are running.Matyas Majzik
