  1. Hi Tom,You can find an excellent LOWG freeware scenery here:http://www.fsterminal.at/site/index.php?site=lowg
  2. :( :( It looks like the AI mating season is on!Do these guys stay like this? It may be due to a double traffic file
  3. Hi Flacs,I suggest you use the FMC, trust me, the PMDG NG is extremely fun! I strongly suggest you get the 800-900 for improvements as well.I don't know how it's done but it is possible to install the default Garmin in the panel, expert hands here might tell you how to do it. However, I doubt it will guide the aircraft as in other add-ons. You may only use it's visual properties.Hey, there is no age for learning anyway :( , just give the manuals a good read, watch a few tutorials on youtube and you'll be flying the NG in no time!Regards
  4. Hey Jabus,Your thread disappeared for some reason, what is wrong with the af2 is that it's lacking a short hold node for the short runway. (08L) Open the default afcad, you'll see it.Place one in the correct position in the AIG AF2 file you're using, you should be good.
  5. I think they are only the filed flight plans to be modified later by ATC instructions. If you click on Decode, you can view the individual waypoints.
  6. I'm not entirely sure here but I do remember being able to change it with the true heading and/or the runway ends (18-36, 36-18)Like I said though, I was trying to implement xwind runways and I just noticed it by accident. Playing around with the properties above may help finding the answer... :(
  7. Hi there,Is your isolation valve open? Using the checklists will help :( As Rafal said though, it's best to ask any NG related questions on the PMDG forum.Enjoy the 737NG!
  8. Hi there! The best way to remove default traffic is by removing a certain file, traffic030528.bgl which is in the FS9/Scenery/World/Scenery folder. This should be sufficient. Actually, you don't need to delete it, you can just rename the extension to .bak Be aware that this will also remove the default GA traffic.Deleting the default aircraft folders might cause problems with custom AI folders, I'm not entirely sure though. :(
  9. Ernie,I suspect your problem is with the localizer beam rather than the glideslope. Your localizer ident is I-VYN / 111.9, and you set your course to 174 right? I tested mine with no problems.John's idea is good too, you can try to disable the backcourse for 18R-36L. If not, drop me a PM and I'll send you my AF2 file.
  10. Hmmm :( In that case it looks like the LOC/GS beam is misaligned, let me check mine. I'll let you now how it goes.
  11. Hi Ernie,The AF2 file that comes with the scenery has all runways active, 13-31s usable with the 18-36s and 17-35s, if that's what you mean. However, if you want to assign certain runways for landing or take-off make sure you do it for both ends otherwise FS runway assignment might be erratic.Concerning your ILS problem, is the localizer beam aligned with the runway? In other words, does the aircraft align correctly with the runway 18R in LOC mode?

    Dan Downs

In addition to his support on various issues, I would like to thank Dan for his excellent sid/star procedure files which he contributes generously to the hobby. Flying in Northern America wouldn't be as realistic as without them :( Best wishes :(
  13. I agree, not a good idea at all.Any scenery installed in the scenery library will overwrite them anyway. I use Airport Environment Upgrade which improves the buildings and other things at the default airports.WhiteKnight, I think you have to use the Jetways and Terminals package (ver9) with the KSAN FRF for it to work correctly.BTW, I love Ghost Recon, I have to say though, I prefer the older concept :(EDIT: Also, any AF2 file in the AddonScenery folder will overwrite the default layout.
  14. Hello fellow simmers!I have just written my first procedure file for PMDG aircraft. I chose OPKC (Karachi, Pakistan) because I couldn't find any complete ones. If you do any flying in and out of Karachi do give it a try and let me know what you think.I'll upload it on the library once it's back. Also, Terry, thank you for your excellent tutorial! :( Happy landingsEDIT: I couldn't upload the txt file here correctly so if you're interested drop me a PM!
  15. Bonnes vacances Aimé!!Et aussi, comme l'a dit David, bonne dégustation pour les excellents vins et charcuteries du coin! (surtout les Riesling :( )
  16. Hello Benjamin,With routefinder, http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/, you can view the coordinates of the navaids and select your Airac database with which the flight plan will be built.Hope this helps
  17. Hello Johan,I suppose it's all a matter of taste. I enhanced my NG with various sound packages I found here in the library. Some particular files are better in different packages so it's wise to give them all a look. The library should be back online soon so you will have a lot of options. The best ones I can remember of are Christoffer Peterson V2, Des Braban and Emil Serafino's latest one. Also, I had found excellent callouts but I don't remember the file name.BTW, I didn't know TSS was doing NG sounds, knowing their products, they should be magnificent!
  21. Quelle mauvaise année pour l'aviation. :( , 154 personnes en plus... :(
