  1. I'm about 8 miles from the threshold of Rwy 08 at EGGW - Luton and about a mile from the London Gliding Club field on Dunstable Downs
  2. I once pushed back in the J41 using reverse... It works fine normally only this time I'd left the park brake set :(
  3. Couldn't DISagree more!Maybe you need to look at tuning your computer Running sliders to the right and add-ons like Heathrow X I see 18-25 fps, but the most important thing is it's smooth.
  4. Yeah I see what you mean now. Although saying that, I can read the runway markings at Buffalo etc, but they aren't as sharp as say JFK. Looks to my untrained eye, like an image issue rather than some deliberate attempt to alter them.
  5. Well I'm certainly in this camp. I won't change to W7 because Vista works just fine for me and always has done. Maybe I've been lucky or something but I have vista on three machines here (both 32 and 64 bit) and since day 1 have never had problems with any app or driver. As well as running FSX, I also run, Office Pro, Adobe Master Suite CS4 and Visual Studio. Never seen a BSOD (unlike XP which I used to run :( ) so no need to change until support stops or a newer operating system offers me something I need that I haven't got.
  6. This is what Birmingham looks like on mine Tom. Incidentally you said EGJJ in your OP I'm assuming you meant EGBB And I'm not using any bloom mods
  7. Well I got this about 6 weeks ago, and on loading it up for the first time, and fumbling for switches whilst I read the manual, I thought, errrr ..... should I really have bought this, I am after all, a confirmed 2D cockpit freak.Well to cut a long story short, after setting up some custom camera views so I can, at the press of a key see all the bits I'm interested in and at a size my old eyes can read (engine instruments, cap panel etc), I am currently not flying anything else other than my J41. It's nice to be able to plan and complete a realistic flight in an hour or so (I'm currently working my way through the Eastern Airways timetable :( ) It's typically PMDG, which means great systems modelling, and its fun to fly, because you have to fly it, or at least plan your climb and descents properly. Dare I say it, in many ways its as good as or maybe better than the 747X which up till now has been my personal gold standard for add-ons. Oh and one thing, sorry guys but them passengers are just plain scarey... what penitentiary did they break out from? :( Looking forward to future new releases.
  8. Hhhmmm .............. Buffalo, Rochester, and Syracuse look ok to me, maybe someone at Google read this thread and fixed it :(
  9. As it happens........FSX tends to get local time wrong in various locations in the northern hemisphere as well, Middle East, India, and certain Far Eastern locations. It's a known problem.
  10. I have done the same reverser switch as you Noah, but with a CH Eclipse yoke, and yes on occasion mine will stop working. Just opening FSUIPC will get it working again. As you say it's not a big deal, and I've never bothered to raise the issue on Pete's forum. If you find out what it is, I'd be interested to know what causes it.
  11. Add another one to the list. I too got the J41 yesterday and saw the problem as well. Couple of observations:It wasn't raining, so can't see how it could be the rain effect. The tutorial flight starts with the J41 parked adjacent to a beacon. I decided to create my own flight and moved to another airport (without a beacon). Haven't seen the problem since.
  12. A giant pogo stick?Mike
