  1. How far back are you trying to go? Here's a site that goes back about 3.5 years to Nov 06, 2008: NavLost.eu.EDIT: Just found another for North America that goes back to Jan 01, 1998: Surface Data Text Listing. Just select the state, province, or area and it'll list metar data for at least some of the airports.EDIT 2: Just reread your original post and realized that what you are after is a search weather/airport list. Neither of the above do that.Rich
  2. Oh, hell...in that case, just download and install ADE (Airport Design Editor): ( http://www.airportdesigneditor.co.uk/ ). . Makes it a snap to edit airports--especially simple ones. If I can use it, anyone can.Rich
  3. I have FSG mesh for that part of the world and UTX and everything is fine. But I don't have the MegasceneryEarth. I'm tempted to spend the $7.99 for the section just to see what happens. But Bartlomiej's suggestion is a good one.Rich
  4. When's the last time you opened the UTX interface? I've had some strange issues after installing scenery from time to time--nothing like yours, though--and, when I do, opening the UTX interface allows it to check for conflicts and correct them. Just a thought.Rich
  5. Because those are the buildings whoever designed the airport put there--or, rather, those are the objects assigned to those GUIDs in the bgl file these buildings are pulled from. Is this a default FSX airport or and add-on of some sort.Rich
  6. These are available here in the File Library as well, though Kauai is a multi-part download on this site because of size restrictions in effect at the time.Rich
  7. I use FS Genesis mesh for most areas and have a few meshes that are for specific locations. Tileproxy, BTW, has no autogen, so it doesn't much matter where the slider is. From altitudes above roughly 2000 ft AGL, the photoscenery will give the impression of 3D trees, buildings, etc but that's an optical illusion.Rich
  8. And, of course, make sure that whatever resolution you have selected in the FSX graphics menu, is followed by x32 and not x16.Rich
  9. They weren't involved in the June 19 "Turkeyshoot" but P-47s based on Saipan attacked targets on Tinian during the few days running up to that carrier battle as part of the Marianas Campaign.Rich
  10. :) Never thought of it as a pickup with dualies but that's an apt description. OTOH, it remains my favorite of the A2A Accusimmed aircraft. The Spit and P-40 are much more nimble but the P-47 is quite the beast. Landing her smoothly always leaves me with a sense of accomplishment.Rich
  11. Steph, How are you making out with your issues? Any luck?Rich
  12. The more, the better. As in every other business, companies will follow the demand. And the more competition among companies, the better it is for us. So bring it on. A wider selection of aircraft would be nice but it doesn't do a company much good to develop one, if there there's little demand for it. It's wasted time, effort, and money for the developer.Rich
  13. Just want to mention that those "saved" cfg files are abbreviated files. Only select settings are saved. I won't be at my FSX computer for awhile, so I can't specify which those are. I don't think, however, that those "Realism" settings are saved in them. (But, then again, I've never looked or that section because I never change those. So I could be wrong about that.) I do know, however, that the "saved" CFGs are significantly shorter than the normal FSX.cfg file.Rich
  14. That ticked blank space in the scenery submenu suggests that your scenery.cfg--for that airport at least--is faulted. It's missing the title line for that airport. I once lost that for all of my scenery entries and had every scenery listed but without any text to tell me what it was. But, if you're not seeing the airport either, then there is a second problem as well.Have you installed other scenery successfully? I ask because Win7 users have to click in the white space (go figure) to get the scenery they have selected installed. And I'm wondering if that's the issue.Rich
  15. Mostly scenery--good quality photoreal. I use the sim to virtualy "visit" areas that interest me. That being said, however, A2A's P-47 and Cub are my favorite aircraft to fly in this pursuit because of their "presence". I also use a few of Caranado's high wing props for variety's sake.Rich
  16. If you enjoy flying in the Hawaiian Islands, I've got some photoscenery scenery out (Niihau & Kauai) that people have enjoyed. Just search the File Library for my lastname: Sorochak : and they'll pop up. Unfortunately, I had to break Kauai up into multiple files to upload it here. You can find it on other sites as a single file, if that will make your life easier.Rich
  17. FWIW, I enjoy creating photoscenery and my favorite aircraft for testing it is Carenado's 206 Stationair. It gives me a nice blend of speed, ease of flight, and outside visibility.Rich
  18. FWIW, I've never had a problem getting TIR to work smoothly with any FSX aircraft. And I have full functionality while in the aircraft. While I use a custom profile that I made for another sim (years ago), that would have no effect on things like th re-centering, etc. The one thing you do have to watch out for is that any FSX key commands you might normally use while in the cockpit don't coincide with TIR key commands. :)Depending on the aircraft, I might need to adjust my viewpoint by leaning back if too far forward in the cockpit before recentering, etc. Most times, I don't bother centering TIR until I'm in the cockpit and, then, simply hit the recenter key command. For that reason, changing the aircraft.cfg (that's the file you're looking for, BTW, in each aircraft's folder) has always seemd like more trouble than it was worth.Rich
  19. I know exactly what you mean. There are numerous times that I fly with my nose pressed against the imaginary windscreen saying: Oh wow! Oh wow! :)Rich
  20. If you haven't already, run the UTX Setup with that Demo uninstalled. That might solve the remaining problem without needing to reinstall anything.Rich
  21. There's your culprit--unless the Bay is also filled with water when you're not using the demo.Rich
  22. You would think not but, if memory serves, someone else had the identical problem several months ago after installing an aircraft of some sort. And running UTX would not correct the problem. Wish now that I had paid more attention to the situation and the fix.So, if installing the updates doesn't help, that might be a direction to look.Rich
  23. And what did you install or activate just before the problem occured?Rich
  24. Did you also try the alternative method to "OK" the selection that's given in that thread's first reply?Rich
  25. Since you didn't link the page that you're referring to, it's kind of hard to tell. If you are buying both the Piper J-3 and it's Accusim upgrade at the same time, then the price is $24.99 for the Cub and $14.99 for the Accusim upgrade. They sell it as a bundle. If you already have the J-3 and just want to purchase the Accusim upgrade, then it's $19.99 for the upgrade. There is only one J-3 and one Accusim version for that aircraft.Hope this helps.Rich
