  1. I'm sure they'd happily sell you an unfinished 744 for $228 million just to see your face!
  2. There's your problem chaps, move over to P3D v3!
  3. Well I'll be damned! So it is! Thanks John
  4. If it is I haven't found it yet, I've checked a few times.
  5. To the PMDG team, As work is ongoing on the 777 for P3D v3 I was wondering if you could add the option to allow automatic arming and engaging of LNAV in the event of a go-around? I know not all carriers have this option installed but I think it's a great feature that reduces pilot workload at a critical phase of flight (see FCOMv2 11.31.31). Virgin Australia have this feature on their 77Ws. Thanks again for your ongoing commitment to this awesome product!
  6. Thanks for the update Robert, great to hear the taxi cam is on its way into P3D!
  7. If the VAS issues have been sorted I'm all in! Probably going to wait a little while before purchasing though until compatibility is ensured with all my addons. Looking forward to a 747 update too Robert
  8. You're very honest!
  9. I hope it's a 787, Boeing have a peach of an aircraft there and I'd love to see its virtual cousin developed by PMDG!
  10. I hear ya Kyle (you "encouraged" me to take part in VAS data collection too), I downloaded your test cards but for me to comply with those requisites is going to take some time, what with life getting in the way etc. But I'll try to gather whatever I can and pass it on, hopefully, I know PMDG will get to the bottom of this issue if an issue actually exists!
  11. You're a clever man Dan! Excellent powers of deduction there buddy.
  12. Test 3 1) As tests 1 & 2. 2) P3D Settings/conditions: No weather, no AI, sat at gate 536 (T5) Aerosoft EGLL, FTX Global, Vector, OpenLC installed. Time of day 11am sim time. Loaded EGLLVHHH flightplan created by PFPX including the SIERRA1G arrival but no approach. 3) Test: I flew the flightplan with a starting VAS of 3.018GB used. I flew in real time (no time compression) and 70nm from TOD I loaded the TD.ILS 25R approach. I landed, and taxied to gate W40 (Taxi2Gate VHHH, NO GSX). After cutting engines I checked VAS usage which was 3.782GB after 11+hrs flight time. Test 4 1) As test 3 2) P3D Settings/conditions: No weather, no AI, sat at gate 536 (T5) Aerosoft EGLL, FTX Global, Vector, OpenLC installed. Time of day 11am sim time. Loaded EGLLVHHH flightplan created by PFPX including VHHH arrival SIERRA1G and approach TD.ILS 25R. 3) Test: I flew the flightplan with a starting VAS of 3.029GB used. I flew in real time (no time compression) and the ping of death began to ring on approach to TD VOR. I continued to fly the approach and 10nm away from the runway threshold I had an OOM. VAS was just over 4GB before P3D shut down. Conclusion: Loading the approach into the FMC being the only variable, one has to conclude that this lead to an increase in VAS consumption over test 3. (N.B. The same livery was used in all 4 tests).
  13. Here's my findings so far, Test 1. 1) System: Windows 7 64 Professional, Prepar3D 2.5.12945.0 (Full Installer, not hotfix). PMDG 777 base and expansion installed 1.10.6492. Process Explorer used to check VAS used. 2) P3D Settings/conditions: No weather, no AI, sat at gate 536 (T5) Aerosoft EGLL, FTX Global, Vector, OpenLC installed. Time of day 11am sim time. Loaded EGLLVHHH flightplan created by PFPX including VHHH arrival SIERRA1G and approach ILS 25R. 3) Test: I sat at the gate in the VC without touching anything after loading the flightplan except to check the VAS usage. VAS started at 3.222GB "Virtual Size" in process explorer. 3 hours later VAS had risen to 3.516GB without me touching anything or changing view. 6 hours after beginning test VAS had risen further to 3.844GB. Test 2 1) As test 1 2) As test 1 with the exception that I didn't load an arrival or an approach into the FMC. Everything else was identical. 3) As test 1 with the exception that VAS started at 3.230GB "Virtual Size" in process explorer. 3 hours later VAS had decreased slightly to 3.223GB. 6 hours after beginning VAS decreased to 3.222GB. So there seems to be a definite correlation between VAS leakage and loading an arrival and approach into the FMC at the departure airport. My next test will be to execute identical flights with and without approach/arrival info loaded and see how far I get with each. Sim conditions will be identical to tests 1 & 2. Will post back my results.
  14. It's always nice to receive news of a much anticipated release, thanks Rob. Will any of the 744/-8 innovations make it into future 777 updates?
  15. I regularly complete CYYZ (FlyTampa) to VHHH (Taxi2Gate) about 15hrs flight time in the 77L, P3D, with no VAS issues at all. I just tweaked the sliders until not even the VAS warning goes off.
  16. I'm going to enjoy putting some mileage on the 744 as BA still use it quite extensively, but the 77W is my baby so looking forward to the update, thanks once again for the hard work Rob and team.
  17. I'd prefer the PMDG 787 over an A350, I guess I just love Boeing aircraft.
  18. Thanks Alex, I love your repaints keep 'em coming!
  19. No, mine is still up to date.
  20. CHANGE LOGUpdate v1.10.6461- VARIOUS: Numerous minor changes to correct model/VC errors introduced in previous v1.10.6436.- VARIOUS: Numerous minor changes to enhance performance and platform compatibility.- VARIOUS: Security and license control enhancements. From the PMDG Op's Center.
  21. I know another developer is doing the 787, but by their own admission it will not be to the same level of detail we've become accustomed to with PMDG so what do you think?
  22. UT2, Hope this helps.
