I have flown many flights close to the north pole. usually CYYZ-VHHH. this has been done mostly with PMDG products ie 777 and 747 FSX. I have never had any issues with it. I am not at my computer the whole time but I do check on it regularly. I know for sure I have come as close as 8800.0 N and I may have come closer than that. I have had no issues with the plane or really bad graphics. nothing any more out of the ordinary than any other time I use FSX. Hope this helps

Just wondering if anyone that works at CYYZ or travels through there often could explain to me how the gate numbers work. I see on flight aware that the 77W domestic flights usually land at D39 or D49. The unusual thing is I can't seem to find the 77W leaving that gate for another 20 hrs. That just seems like a very long time to have a plane like that sitting around. All international flights with the 77W leave from gate E73-E77. Do the gate # change or do the move them planes around before they depart. Any help would be appreciated

Ryan do you have any figures on how much VAS that had been saved with the new SP1.I have had problems with OOM since using the 777. Just wondering if there is just a little decrease or if you guys have made a lot of progress with VAS using with the 777. Thanks for your time

great scenery! the night textures r great. I like how the ground is actual black at night. FSX and many sceneries seem to lighten the night. I have not been to many airports or have flown at night a lot but when I do I cant see a darn thing out the window or on the ground. Thank You FSdreamteam for the great scenery.

I fly PMDG 777 exclusively. I had Orbx's PNW installed along with FSDT Vancouver. Along with ASN. the problem I have is that I get OOM with this setup. Unfortunately I done many combos of this scenery and the only thing I could come up with is to uninstall PNW. I want to purchase FTX Global and Vector but am concerned that at big airports done by flyTampa, FSDT, Flightbeam etc. that I will still get these OOM. I have downloaded the program that shows my VAS and it looks like in any region that orbx does the VAS is around 900-1.1 GB. If anyone that has Global and Vector installed could tell me what there VAS usage is and if they have had any OOM with FSDT etc. and Global Vector. Thanks

My vote went to EDDF. I have never flown into MSP. I will buy MSP when it comes out just to support Flightbeam and make a few flights into this airport but EDDF is the one for me. Aerosoft version is just a hog on FPS

Don't know much about DX10. Just heard if you are getting a lot of OOM this software my be the answer. So if I am right this program does nothing for DX10 in the way it reduces the OOM it will do this just by selecting DX10 preview in the FSX settings menu. This program fixes add-ons that don't normally work with DX10? if this is so is the PMDG 777, Orbx NA pacific Northwest and FSdreamteam CYVR work well with Steve Fixer DX10? I feel the same way. 30$ and not 100% sure its going to work with my add-on and stop OOM issue is hard to decide on. the only time I have OOM is FSdreamteams CYVR, Orbx NA pacific Northwest, and PMDG 777. When Ifly into that airport no matter what I put my settings on I rarely get off the runway before FSX shuts down on me. Hard to spend that much money for that one problem. If I knew 100% that this program would fix this problem I would purchase this program. Any comment would be welcomed

Hi, I am thinking about replacing my power supply, case, RAM, motherboard and CPU. I have a Dell XPS 8100 and would like to use the graphics card GTX260, hard drive and DVD player with my new upgrades. My question is do I need to reformat my hard drive before I do this or just move my old hard drive into my new case plug it and turn on my machine. Download the latest drivers and way to go or is there much more to it than that. I am running windows 7 and would like to have all the stuff on my new computer that I have on my old one. any opinions? Thanks

If the throttle is in hold mode on your PFD the engines will only throttle back or ahead to where your throttle is positioned. I had a problem with slowing the plane down but when I looked into it it would descend in hold mode and where ever I had my throttles located that would be as far as the engines would throttle back. Could never get the plane down in time.

Just watched the whole video. Great information and a great watch. A lot of stuff I never knew about the SR-71.

the first flightplan I was importing was from VHHH to CYYZ. I was always getting invalid entry. I tried a flight plan from CYYZ to CYVR with no problems. is the flight plan to long for the FMC to handle. Anyone from PMDG could comment would be great Thanks

I have tried the same thing and it comes up invalid entry. I go into route request and I see the saved route from simroutes but the way points r not in the fmc. I have watched a couple videos on youtube to see how it's done for the NGX can't find anything on the 777. I am doing the exact same thing as the video but no luck. The only difference I see is the file size is only about one third the size from simroutes than from actual flight plans I have saved inside of pmdg777 fmc. There must be something I am missing. Duhno??

I am getting my flight plan from flight aware copying and pasting it into simroutes in the generate routes page. I get the flight plan to load into simroutes I then use the download function to download route into the 777 flight plan folder within FSX. It is saved into a .rte file. I look into the FMC route request menu and I see the file I just save in the 777 flight plan folder. The problem is when I pick this saved route and load it into the FMC and activate the flight plan none of the waypoints r in the RTE page. Can I use simroutes to import a flight plan or do I need something like PFPX. If this is the only way to go can I use the flight plans from flightaware into PFPX Any help would be great Thanks

It would be a great thing to know what the ratio from front to back is. I just make sure my CG is within limits and let it go. Not sure if that is proper

the caution light came on on the glare shield and wont go off. there is no amber lights on in the overhead, there is no amber messages on the ecais, and when I go through the synop. pages everthing seems to be green and good to go. any help?

Never had a oom crash before I started flying the PMDG 777. Any help.

cant open cargo doors. don't know why. I can open the entry doors and the bulk door but not the forward or aft cargo door. anyone else having this trouble?
