  1. In the option menu go to the camera settings and you will see it there.
  2. Zoom level at 50 is totally unrealistic as far as I can tell and creates a strange fish eye effect. Makes your wings look several miles long. One of the things that annoys me about this sim is that there is a zoom setting at all. There should be a FOV figure with a calculator. I normally have the zoom around the 70 mark. Funnily enough, as I saw this question I was in the process of changing the default seat position of the FSR500 in the camera.cfg so that it's a little further back so that I can maintain that 70 zoom level. As it is at the moment it's a little too far forward meaning I have had to set the zoom to 65.
  3. Why don't you show us a picture so we can see what you're talking about and then perhaps someone can help? Could be any number of things.
  4. I gave this a go but it seems to dim the buttons on the units but the screens seem to stay the same. I also noticed that when I adjust the brightness on the units themselves the dimmer does actually work but also only on the buttons. I missed this when messing with this before because I was only looking at the screens brightness and never noticed that the buttons were dimming. Surly Garmin allows one to adjust the brightness of the screens on these things. Kinda critical at night. Am I just missing how to do this?
  5. I've never quite understood the name "FeelThere". It makes no sense to me at all and seems weird. What is the logic behind that name? Anyone know? I think about this every time I see the name crop up 😆
  6. Ahh, thanks. I'll give that a go later today.
  7. What am I missing with regard to brightness control on these devices? They are awfully bright at night. I have found what I believe to be the control for this but it seems to do nothing. There are options for both screens and you can set them to auto or manual but when I choose manual and turn them down to 0 nothing changes. Same when I turn them all the way up to 100.
  8. Interesting. Thanks for sharing and yes, I'm sure they will get it sorted. I have never been in doubt of that.
  9. Hmmm, this what I feared. Wonder why WT omitted this.
  10. Of course it isn't. We know it's a bug because it's clearly wrong and it says so in the manual. It also states they are looking into a way to decouple the two. I wonder what the cause is.
  11. That's the problem, I'm afraid. It's both minimums and airport elevation at the same time and it shouldn't be. It changes both. Doesn't work when flying in weather conditions that are marginal though, does it. Thatnks for the video. I certainly give that a watch later on today. Exactly! Yes, helpful, thank you but the issue is it still adjusts both the minimums and the elevation at the same time. Ah well, nevermind. I suppose I'm stuck with the problem until they fix it somehow.
  12. Evening all. Ok, I bought the FSR500. A fine and fascinating aircraft so far but with 2 major issues as far as this old simmer is concerned. 1, It's a turboprop and despite doing this simming thing since pretty much the start of it I have never bothered with turboprops. No matter, it was part of the appeal of buying it and I think I'm getting to grips with the fundamentals and it's fun. Plenty for me to learn and it's about time I moved into the modern era in regards to the aircraft that I fly. However, not why I'm here. 2. It comes equiped with the latest and greatest in Garmin glassware. This is proving a bit more of a challenge for this old git. Ok, it's mostly quite intuitive and I can easily see me getting used to it but I'm stuck on a thing or two and I'm sure many more questions are to come after these but I'll start here..... Is there a way to set/change the airport elevation data? The FSR500, as stated in the manual, has an issue where when you set the minums then the elevation data changes to whatever you set the minimums to. Not sure if this is a Working Title problem or something to do with the plane. Anyway, they're working on it and I find myself wondering if there's a workaround such as being able to change the airport elevation figure after setting the minimums in order to correct it back to the correct setting? If there is then I can't find it for the life of me. Not sure if this would even work if I can or if the two figures are bound for reason I don't understand. Also, is there an easier way to set the minimums. I can see the option when selecting my approach procedure, but earlier. I set the procedure and forgot to set the minimums. The only way I could find to set them was to select the procedure again. As an airliner guy I'm kinda just used to turning the relevent minimums knob and being done with it. What if I want to set minimums without a procedure selected? That's all, folks! P.S. Well, nearly all. I have to say, this thing is damned pretty and the EFB might just be the best I have seen. I'm so pleased to see the fidelity of aircraft coming out of some developers now. I have pretty high standards for what I'm willing to spend my money on these days. I rarely buy aircraft unless I can see that it meets my standards and this thing does for the most part. I did find an issue immediately that I have brought to their attention and I feel confident that this will be resolved given the high standard of the rest of the product and what they are clearly striving for. I would also like to celebrate the price they have brought this to market for. For a little under £30 this lands in the "more than reasonable" range and other developers should take note of what their competition is offering and at what price. Honestly, from what I have seen today this is comfortably in the £45-50 range for me and the price I paid feels like I have done them dirty somehow. Not that I'm complaining. I'm a man of limited means so I'm extremely grateful for such pricing. For GA flying I have been stuck on the A2A Commanche since it released because it rendered all my other GA aircraft unflyable so I'm pleased to have another Aircraft that I consider worthy of my time and money. I'm looking forward to see where this product goes and FSR are now firmly on my flightsim radar.
  13. Is this really an issue? I have seen this a few times. If it ever were an issue then suely they have fixed it by now?
  14. Thank's for letting me know. As long as they stay exclusively there then I will purchase them from there later this week.
  15. I didn't write that I wouldn't, buddy. I simply enquired if it will be available anywhere else. However, I have my reasons why I will not buy there if there are other options. The main reason for not buying there is removed if it's the only place it will ever be available and that reason is product updates. I have seen Marketplace purchasers still without a product update over a month after the rest of us that bought direct from the developer or a publisher such as Just Flight. An unacceptable issue that I am not prepared to pay for when the issue can easly be avoided by not buying it from there. Another reason is that I prefer to buy direct from the developer whenever possible. I prefer them to get more of my money. Microsoft are doing alright for that stuff as far as I can tell. However, in this instance the developer has made their decision and opted to exclusively place their work on Marketplace. Again, removing my concern. I have other more nuanced reasons as well but I'm not prepared to go into them here. I will purchase the software from Marketplace later this week.
  16. This aircraft has me interested enough to purchase but I see that this is only available to purchase on Marketplace. Are there any plans to sell this anywhere else and if so in what sort of time frame? Or will it remain exclusively there?
  17. Guys, don't worry about this. Microsoft and Asobo are not going to prevent your addons from being compatible. It would be a massive piece of self harm if they want to sell copies of 2024. There will likely be a needed tweak by the developers just as there is after most updates but they will work.
  18. That looks like the long known about issue with DX 12 that some users suffer with including myself. It's the single reason I can't use DX 12 and it causes airport ground textures to randomly vanish. It's been a thing from day one with that mode. I no longer believe they are remotely interested in fixing this for this interation of the sim. However, I don't believe this issue is anything to do with the problem the original poster was talking about.
  19. They will be compatible. Probably with such an update that needs to be applied by a developer after any number of sim updates to 2020. You need not worry as far as I know.
  20. Are you sure you have not pressed the key to activate "active pause"?
  21. What this guy said. I run navigraph on my laptop. You just need to instal Navigraph Simlink from their download section on their website.
  22. Different issue. The DX12 bug causes the airport ground textures to vanish and reveal the satellite image below and it's the only reason I am unable to use DX12. This is something different and as I have been flying about the world I am seeing it more and more. It's as though at some point the ground texture switches to either a newer or older image set. Or even that it's swtiching from online satellite imagery to offline textures and roads as you fly over an area. It can happen over a very small area or a large one and you can fly out of the area and it stops. Fly back and it will happen again so it's a problem them affects specifc areas. It just seems that those areas are becoming more common. I have no idea what is causing it but it's really spoiling my enjoyment when it occurs and frankly, it's not good enough.
  23. I have seen a hell of a lot of this lately and it's really getting on my nerves.
  24. Personally, I would really like to see a single engine turbo normalised Cessna with retractible gear. 2nd on my list would be a Beechcraft Bonanza (not the V tail). 3rd on my list would be a piston twin. I have the Flysimware 414 and have really enjoyed it but I would buy and A2A version in a flash. 4th would be a tail dragger of some kind such as a Cessna 185 Skywagon. I never really did get the hang of these things and an A2A dragger in this sim would really make me focus on mastering one. I'd like all of these to be steam guage with the ability to whack my GTN 750 in. What I wouldn't buy is anything military. I'm just not interested in them. I'd also like: A beautiful and kind red headed lady. 10 million pounds in my bank account. An Aston Martin. The moon on a stick and covered in sugar. You got to have a dream, If you don't have a dream, How you gonna have a dream come true? However, whatever I think is irrelevant. They will have already decided what they a making and make it they will.
