  1. I'm glad it is solved! :)Too bad I cannot try it myself until tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I won't have any problems though.Best regards & iyi uçuşlar,Doruk
  2. Still the same deal for me with the interim update too. I see those rectangles in some of my flights (about 1/3 I think). I still use REX cirrus textures instead of AS2010 ones as a workaround.By the way; all three people who seem to be carrying on this topic are all Turkish. That is of course very irrelevant, but just had to point that out since I find it quite interesting. :)RegardsDoruk
  3. I saw this being discussed many times in many platforms. I'm afraid there's no solution to that as far as I know, and I totally agree that it is very annoying. The problem with that, is the way FSX simulates precipitation. Rather than simulating it as "pouring down from the clouds", it creates a bubble around the aircraft with precipitation in it. Which is of course quite unrealistic. Some kind of "precipitation suppression" may be possible, similar to FSUIPC gust, turbulence and variance suppression, like "suppress rain above cloud ceiling level". I am not sure if it is possible with the tools MS provides to 3rd party developers though. It would still be unrealistic in some cases, since precipitation is not always originated from the highest level of clouds, but still it would be better than originating from clear blue skies. :)RegardsDoruk
  4. Hi,I nearly always prefer to fly day flights since I dislike night textures of FSX overall. So after sunset I often do "historical" flights. For example if I it is 20:00, I adjust the time as 08:00 A.M. and fly.The thing is; when I start AS2012 (or ASE previously), I have to wait till it downloads current weather data to access the program menus (they are grayed out until it is loaded). Not that it takes too long but still it takes some time and I prefer not to experience that idle time. :)So my suggestion is; would it be possible/feasible to include some pop-up dialog box at start-up which asks if I would like to download the current weather data or not, so that I can choose to pass on it and go directly to "historical" menu. Not very important, I know. Just a suggestion.Cheers. :)Doruk
  5. Used it just a few times and it is awesome indeed. Great, I mean GREAT work. But the airline I prefer to fly with does not have it installed so I do not use it anymore for the sake of realism. :)Doruk
  6. I think I'm going to re-install FSX too, but I really don't want to. I hope we can solve this, so I don't have to.It takes too long to install all the addons and do all the tweaks etc. I hate re-installing FSX. :(
  7. After several flights, the grayish/blackish sheet is back. Attaching the screenshot.
  8. My problem is fixed, at least I didn't see it happen in three short flights. Thanks a lot for your support Chris.
  9. Oh, I meant cirrus, sorry. OK, sending my email. Can't try it now though, since I'm at work. I'll let you know the result in a few hours.Thank you. :)Doruk
  10. Same here. Got rid of shader3, but I still have the problem. I think I might have found a workaround though. It looks to me that, this problem occurs with cumulus cloud textures only. I use REX cumulus textures now, and AS2012 for everything else. No problems so far.Edit: No memory issues here as well.
  11. I do. And after I started this thread I also thought it was the first suspect too. Did two more short hops without uninstalling it and didn't see that anomaly again though.Anyway, i'll do more test flights with and without shader mod 3.0 and let you know the results.
  12. Hello,First of all, thank you for this wonderful product. I have made a few short hops to test it out and everything looks really smooth. I noted just one minor issue though. I sometimes see "strange" textures on the sky which weren't there with ASE+REX combo. Not that I am very uncomfortable with it, but still it would be better without those. :)I'm attaching a screenshot. I wonder if anyone has an opinion/workaround for this.Thank you,Doruk
  13. There is a 3000 ft filter on default settings. Are those planes around you less than 3000 ft above or below you?
  14. I am glad I could help. Both sides should be off by default if I recall correctly.
  15. Tried the Tfc button in the middle of the range knob?
  16. The range is set to 40, so the exact middle point of the display shows 20. Everything looks ok here. Or is this not what you're asking about?
  17. I did and it performs worse unfortunately. I'll try to explain: When I set internal FPS limiter to UNLIMITED and set external limiter to 30, I get 30 fps with few +1 spikes, thus fluctuating between 30-31. When I set internal limiter to 30, this fluctuation gets much worse, like 20 to 28 fps, almost never 30. The microstutters become macrostutters as a result. My problem seems to relate to something like monitor refresh rate, response time etc, not directly related to any hardware bottleneck. It is very hard to explain, really. I'm very close to throwing my pc out of the balcony, because I get more and more frustrated every new attempt to fix it. :)
  18. Hi,My NGX VC "lags" (microstutters?) often while panning around the cockpit. This does not happen with any external views and/or any other internal views of built-in or freeware/payware aircraft. The strange thing is that FPS is constantly 30 when I use the FPS limiter, and always more than 30, around mid 40s when I don't use it. That is why I get more frustrated than I would if I saw low FPS numbers. I really can't get it why I keep getting those microstutters with high FPS numbers. I would be more than happy to trade those numbers with more smoothness. My config is: Intel i2500K @ 4.7 GHz, 8GB ddr3 ram, NVidia 550 Ti graphics card.I have tried this with/without external frame limiter, with/without affinity mask tweak, with/without bojote's, especially bufferpools=0 / bufferpools=1 - rejectthreshold=x tweaks, with various Nvidia Inspector settings, 8xS AA + 4x Transparency AA and no transparency AA,with/without V-sync. I normally use very high autogen settings, but nothing changes with lower settings also. Also tried with traffic off, does not help. My cloud draw distance is set to 60, and visibility is limited to 50 by HiFi ASE product.Best results so far are with bufferpools set to 0, internal fps unlimited, external limiter set to 30, 8xS AA with transparency AA off, affinity mask set to 14. Tried so many combinations and this "feels" the best so far, yet still disturbing because of this lagging feel I mention.I wonder if anyone else experiences a similar problem, or even better if anyone experienced and found a remedy for this.Thank you.Doruk Selçuk
  19. Yup, I tried to explain the exact same thing, I forgot to mention climb though, just tried to explain descent. :) Just one thing that I now realised I am not sure about: When it is a climb that "full power" you mentioned would be the N1 setting for CLB, right?
  20. Oh well. I was just unlucky then. Every time I tried my luck with online flying I experienced similar things as stated on my original post. Now that I have become a father 15 days ago, I will be less a master of my own time and it will get harder and harder to keep up with those events. ;)Thanks for the info anyway.Cheers.
  21. LVL CH changes the altitude of the aircraft to the altitude set on the MCP, keeping the speed constant to the value set on the MCP as well, keeping the engines on IDLE if it is a descent. So if the plane needs to descent at a rate of 1800 ft/min to keep the set speed, it simply does that without checking with the actual VNAV path settings. On VNAV mode, let's say the FMC tells the autopilot to descent 1500 ft/min keeping IAS at 260 knots according to the VNAV path, but the environmental factors (winds etc) forces the aircraft to slow down at this rate of descent, it will add thrust to the engines to compansate the difference, trying to keep the 1500 ft/min - 260 knots. Likewise if the plane tends to fly faster on this rate, the fmc warns the pilot to add some drag (speed brakes). It would to neither of them if it was on LVL CH mode. It would just increase or decrease the rate of descent to keep the 260 knots.Shortly; of the three modes VNAV tries to keep both airspeed and rate of descent as they were set on the FMC, LVL CH tries to keep airspeed constant and V/S mode keeps the rate of descent (or climb ofcourse) constant. This may not be 100% accurate ofcourse since I am just a simulation enthusiast like most of us. Maybe it would be better if we wait for a professional response.Cheers.Doruk
  22. Very much so. It was the exact same deal for me. Transferred from LEVEL-D 767-300ER to PMDG 737 NGX. Did my first flight without checking any of the manuals, just using my knowledge from the 767, making some logical adjustments and everything went smooth. Then I checked the documents if I did anything wrong. I saw that I did ok apart from some minor details.
  23. Popping the 2D cdu by pressing shift + 3 and closing it back should bring it back on. It is a known issue.
  24. Nice. Thanks again.
  25. Got it. The purpose of using both would be getting rid of UT2 "Daedalus" repaints I guess. Or are there any other benefits?Thank you. :)
