Like Carlos said it's blanked because if something bad happens like a failure of some sort it will automatically turn itself back on alerting the crew that something is wrong

Actually airlines are trying to find ways to cut cost so they only run the APU for engine start. When you vacate the runway and pull into the gate crews hook up external power. Turn arounds are 45min or less and the cabin still stay relativly cool during this time. -

you can put on the fixed landing lights after 10k and then the retractable landing lights on short final as a gross error check that your cleared to land.. -

+1 I have done a regional jet course and the manuals just does not do it for me ! and that was for a CRJ-200 i can only imagine for a 738 "Blah" -
well dude all i can say is RTFM you came on asking us for help i gave you the two logical reasons why you would recv those errors. The wing exist are never really opened unless there is an emergency. so it is either a broken seal. or a bad sensor!do you have service based failures on?also PMDG confirmed a while back that Sensor errors produce the behavior you are seeing (briefly flashing then going out again)

if you select APP mode before glide slope capture the plane will fly straight through. Wait until the needle starts moving. Glide slope alive.."Set APP mode" 1 Dot above " Gear down set flaps 15"

Make sure you click the switch again. Many times i have accidentally moved the switch into the run position without first moving it all the way to the start position. Once the APU is started it should springload to the run position.

I used photoshop CS3 extended and i will get you guys more photos i had to go to work!
