  1. My rig did the same thing. I just replaced the battery in the UPC power supply that I have everything plugged into. (batteries plus). They burn out after a couple years. Nothing reboots now unless I want it to! Maybe this is or isn't your issue, but I would start there. Hope this helps!
  2. This is a very, very, basic crew announcement system. When I use it, I feel that they never finished it. It is not bad for a start, but they need to do more than what they have. The voices are a mic and a script. The sound is not modeled at all, no background small speaker sound, like you hear in a real aircraft, and I swear I can tell when announcer is changing pages! I wish I didn't buy it. Save your money, this is not worth it right now. Maybe in time, they will get serious!
  3. I had the same problem. The UPS battery needs to be replaced 2.5-3yr mark..without fail...ju (con't) just happened to me...battery in ups ran 40.00. Up and running!
  4. REX has an update soon from what I hear......
  5. I have been running ATi for awhile now with no compalints. I use it because of the 3 screen view. The NGX on 3- 24" screens is something to see. See spec's below. It is all about choice and how you want to see it. Answer that question first, then you will be able to build from there.
  6. Well, I downloaded the new fix, and everything went well. I deleted all my liveries, except PMDG, then installed. All went perfect. Not a hitch. The plane seems to be playing well with all it friends! Fully loaded, (see specs below) with FXDT LAX, Flight beam KSFO, I did LAX to KSO. Handed great! No freezes!!!!!!!!!, no fouls, no strikes! My frames were an average of 20+ better!! The planes flow graphics wise was much better+++....not a speck of dust! The only area I had a problem with was during decent, the plane just quit after approx. 5000 ft. and leveled, and I had to manually drop her into town.I still got to make sure that I programmed decent right in the first palce next flight. Everything worked great FMC/ILS wise. I took controls at about 3000ft. KSFO. Handled great all the way in! It seemed to have a more natual attitude than before.... All in all, MUCH BETTTTTER!!!!!!!!!! PMDG you are right on the target!!!!!! Keep up the great work!!! I can't wait till SP1 and 6700!!! Thanks again PMDG!!
  7. Thanks Paul for your input. My weather hasn't looked so good as it does now! I think I will continue to load ASE first, then FSX. ASE just seems to work better.
  8. I have a similar system. The NGX is great with 3/ 24" screens!!!!
  9. I cannot seem to get the wind or direction to indicate in cockpit (737NGX) until reaching 5000-10000ft. The weather seems to be working fine, it just will not show up. Also, it drops off on decent when going below 10000ft? Works fine in default 737. Using REX Evolution and ASE SP3. Any suggestions?
  10. Thanks for the quick response. The default 737 gets wind and direction on the ground and ASE works perfectly. But all PMDG 747 and the 737NGX have the problem. Guess that's where it's at....thanks for your help!!
  11. I cannot seem to get the wind or direction to indicate in cockpit (737NGX) until reaching 10000ft. The weather seems to be working, it just will not show up. I am sure I am doing something wrong with settings? Also, it drops off on decent when going below 10000ft? Got to be a setting somewhere....any help will be appreciated! Or is this an NGX issue? Thanks........
  12. For users with Activesky Evolution and Registered FSUIPC Paul - I followed you instructions exactly as you said, and I am getting the best weather I have have ever seen!!!! I ran a flight from KLAS to KLAX last night, and ran into all kinds of weather! My PMDG NGX matched perfectly to what ASE was showing.....I thought I had it right before, but I was wrong. Thank you for bringing everything together in one post. I run REX Evolution and ASE and they work great! One question-Before I would always load ASE first and then FSX. But now, FSX (NGX) will not load the weather after lift off or any other time. But, if I load FSX first, the ASE, everything is perfect. What is the load sequence for these two programs? Was I doing this wrong from the get go? Also, I notice that you cannot open FSUIPC (Registered) when ASE is running, without fatal. Turn off ASE and it is no problem to access FSUIPC for input. No big deal, but I was curious? I am guessing the settings have told FSUIPC to stay out of the weather?? Thanks again for your post!
  13. Thanks Paul! There is a couple things I missed in settings....i will give them a try!
  14. Lately I have been seeing an increase in posts that do not have a name, or they just have a "handle". Is this rule still in force or has it been relaxed? Also, if a name is still mandatory, does this have to be first and last, or just first?
  15. Keep am eye on the heat on your video card. I was having the same problems, and then I noticed the temp on my video card was way up with this bird. So I added some more rpm to the fan, and have run 4 flights now without a hiccup! Nice and stable...So far so good...... Fully loaded systems, then add this bird to the mix...... I suppose a video card might have something to say. Probably won't work for everyone, but don't overlook it.
  16. Strange.....I did the whole download thing with all fix's....now I am missing right side doors. I have cargo but no controls for the doors...also getting 10 second freezes one or two times each flight. Furthermore, I have no aircraft on scope even when warning appears "traffic". So close, yet so far......PMDG, got any ideas!
  17. I will re install....see if that works.....
  18. Is it me or am I missing something; the right side door sections in FMC/doors is missing????
  19. I always go to programs add/remove and look for the program, Look over to the right side, it should show the version number. I have windows 7.
  20. It is called FSX...that is why we ask!
