  1. Going by the way the ngx was developed, My guess is that PMDG usually starts with the difficult bit....Cockpit and airplane systems before facing the exterior model. It's by far the easiest part of their development process.
  2. Please can someone tell me what's with the pogo stick? seems like its been a long running joke here at the forums and I hate being left out . Thanks.
  3. He means you need to write down your real name at the bottom of your post, or you can have it done in your profile settings like I did so you don't have to keep doing it each time you post :-)
  4. Oh Pleese! when did it become a crime to mention 777 here at the forums? Well Considering what PMDG did with the NGX was not Modelling of the mechanical links between the flight controls and the control surfaces (At least I hope it isn't ). I don't think getting the 777 right would be any easier or more difficult than the ngx.
  5. Yea the pilot response system is cool but what really Draws me to the 777 is the CPDLC datalink systems. I don't know to what depth pmdg can simulate this if ever considering the limitations of Fsx. Anyways i'm positive that whatever they create will be more than satisfactory since it'll come from Papa Boeing!!
  6. Hello Marc...I think your banner's awesome, I hope it won't be a problem with pmgd.
  7. Haha me too, But I can rest assured that the NGX section of the website will be active when i get back
  8. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. The Triple 7 is the next project
  10. Just a suggestion, Make sure you have your reserve fuel and cost index spaces filled out in the PERF page.
  11. This one is for the NGeggs Dev team, are painted shells available as a customer option?
  12. And the resulting Airplane flatulence
  13. Hi, Is that an FS addon? Wow, after watching the Justplanes Air canada 777 DVD I have been obsessed with CPDLC. How does it work in Fs, can u use it with Radar contact?
  14. No, I haven't bought the book yet. But i'd love to get it. I'll keep it in mind for when my ngx savings serves its purpose.
  15. Well, first I'd like to thank Robert, Ryan and Co for leaving the thread open for this long. Maybe if the "beta speculators" had stopped when they were told to we wouldn't have deviated this far off course. Well back to the ngx, I'd like to recommend the 737 technical site (b737.org.uk) for anyone looking to build up on some extra 737 knowledge. The site is packed full with technical info as well as production and accident statistics for 737s. Im sure most of you already know this site but for those who don't, its worth checking out.Regards
  16. Nice screenshot For screenshots I use a light program called snapshots v4.0. Its freeware and you can get it from the avsim utilities page. you only need to tell it what folder to save the screenshots in. While flying just press the printscreen button when you detect a photo op and it saves the screenshot and gives an audible notification. You also have a choice of formats to save it in: jpg, bmp, png and gif
  17. That was epic dude!!...I fell off my chair
  18. You're Joking!!! From Ryan's post I could have sworn he was in on it too. Wow!
  19. EricYou can't be too sure that boeing will paint all other 747-8Is in the test fleet orange just because the first one is. As with the 787 program, boeing may decide to paint others using their regular paint schemes or even with the customer livery (787 no-2 is painted in the ANA livery). By the way, the freighter version has a much shorter hump than the pax version.
  20. I get what you mean. I remember the first time I saw NG 737s. Being used to 'short winged' classics i was amazed by the length of the wings and the winglets made them look even more oversize. Its fun watching the wing bob up and down while taxing I'm really looking foward to the HUD too!!
  21. Mine was on finals into RJAA after a 12 hour flight from EGLL with the PMDG 747-400x. I stupidly tried to disconnect the autopilot using the keyboard "z" key. That turned on FSX's default altitude and heading hold ("autopilot"). My controls went numb, even after disconnecting my AP the right way I couldn't get any control surface to move. Then i finally noticed and pushed the "z" key once and my surfaces were free once more. Only problem is I already extended my speedbrakes from when I was trying to work out what was wrong with my controls. I started loosing altitude faster than my normal descent rate, stalled and SPLAT!!! five miles from the runway!!
  22. Sure you can use them. I have been using them for the past few weeks now and the work perfectly. The only slight problem I noticed was that for the flights out of KBFI, the 747 is lined up a little to the left of the runway centerline of KBFI but still fully on the runway. Nothing a little slewing can't fix. Everything else worked just fine for me. Happy flying!!! Regards Nanjul
  23. LOL...The first two replies Just made my day....I LOLed the hardest in a long time!!
  24. I guess i'll agree with Jeff. I Always felt the 747 didn't hold a bank angle for long due to aerodynamic forces on the wing, much like airplanes don't hold a pitch angle without trim input. I may be wrong thou
