Hi guys, I have a question about the AIA 737 Max. The ai planes that I use have 2 files. A lightmap and a texture-file. The AIA 737 Max uses three files and when I run the Texture-Doctor it gives me the warning that it has a incorrect texture. Can anyone explain what it is? The most Max traffic is fine but there is one AI-plane that shows up grey without textures. I dont understand why this is. I checked the name of the texture and it is correct. I hope you understand my question.

I have my copy of fs9 since 2008. I spent a lot of time perfecting it and now I have a perfectly tweaked fs9 for 4 years now. It runs on a high end pc with Win10 and I have no problems. Everything works perfectly. The only thing I do is updating my AI traffic from AIG and my pc is loaded with repainted traffic. I found a second hand copy of FSX a few years ago and gave it a try. I tried it for an hour and removed it from my pc because the frame rates were terrible with the sliders on max. I dont want to try P3D because Im done with the hours of tweaking. I also spend a lot of money on Fs9. Enough reasons to keep my Fs9. Its the best for me.

There is no update from FSDT for the southern part of the airport. Thats it for FS9 I’m afraid.

It is a long time ago since I bought o’Hare. I think they had an update that added the most northern runway (27R-9L) but that was it. Do you have that update? They added 6 of 7 different afcads with various types of crosswind setups. Do you have them too. I cant remember if they came along with the update or it was standard with the first purchase.

I have the scenery (2016 version) and Im very happy with it. They did a very good job! the only thing are the frame rates. They drop to around 30-35 with my system. I have traffic maxxed so all these Delta planes are hitting my system pretty hard. I set my frame rates at 60. The scenery is worth it.

I just downloaded and installed the new PHX and it looks great. The night textures are also very good! I made some quick adjustments on the Afcad. America West en Us Airways were still asigned to the gates so I changed them to American and American Eagle so they are now properly filled with the correct airlines. I also added some new airlines like Volaris so they also are parked at the gate instead on the parking lot in the west. It was a fast adjustment so I did not really looked at the proper gates assigments for the other airlines than American. Maybe I will do that later. The textures on the Honeywell building are not very good. They look blurry. But on the other hand: I checked GoogleEarth but there is no Honeywell building. And the Us Airways building at the east is also outdated. It has a blue stripe with “American” on it. Thanks for the scenery! I have a new destination!

I decided to fly above the USA. I usually fly short airline routes from large airport to large airport. There is alot of scenery for the US. I dont fly in other regions.

Welcome to this forum. Some of us have migrated to P3D but there are some things you should know. P3D requires a NASA-computer to run smooth. But it depends on your preferences on flying. - When you like flying at low altitudes with general aviation aircraft you propably like P3D. Beautiful sceneries. - When you love busy airports and like flying airliners you are better off with Fs9. These situations are very demanding for your system. Also Fs9 has loads of addons that spice up the flightsim but all these addons require a good system. Have fun and dont hesitate to ask questions.

A year ago I was afraid that the end of Fs9 was near. All the FSP-models coming out, the painters only painting for fsx/p3d. Nowadays I see very much light at the end of the tunnel. Not only because of the AIA 737 Max and the converting tool but also the amount of fresh repaints for the TFS and UTT models released lately. Maybe the designers of sceneries also come to the conclusion that we are still out there?

As I said in another thread. I have no issues at all. Nothing has changed. About installing a new fs9 with everything I have tweaked. I also have a backup on an extarnal drive. It is not a fs9 install bit everything I own like airports, planes, trafficfiles, scenery files and so on. I have reinstalled my fs9 several times and it costs me a small day to get everything running again.

I have no problems at all with the update. What is occurring to your sims?
