Well the COD reference isn't completely sound. Activision hasn't really done anything new either...nobody would want LDS to release the 767 five different times...at least LDS is working on something different haha.

+1. I definitely think PMDG and LDS pooling resources would make for an AMAZING 757. That airplane is amazing. Quite underrated, I think. It is an absolute rocket.

I don't see why not..I've done dual like that with joysticks. Two joysticks, two keyborads, two mouses (mice? always wondered that) all run through my hp 8460 and my TV, and that worked just fine. The only problem I could maybe see would be the saitek gear..but I don't really see that being a problem. I may be wrong. Just try it haha. Just make sure you've got enough open USB ports haha.

Maybe before the NGX this was true but there is no way any CS plane (or any plane) beats the NGX's visual quality, and I don't see PMDG's visuals going backwards with the 777. Airport - KMSPPlane - 757 (200 or 300)I love the old Bowling Shoe Northwest livery..wish Delta would do a tribute livery kinda like US Airways' America West Heritage.

I was over reading on a.net about a rumor that Delta was thinking of picking up AirTran's 717s. I personally think this would be a great idea for Delta. If for nothing else, as much as I hate to say this (being a big NWA and DC-9 guy), to replace the aging fleet of NWA 9's, along with maybe some of the older MD-88s (maybe on less filled routes). I would love to see those 717's live a long life. Thoughts?*insert stir the pot emot here*PS: Maybe this will get PMDG to think about making the 717 haha

I also read that Southwest was going to keep them, at least for awhile. 2017 is coming to mind, but I'm not positive why. I love the 717, and personally think that a PMDG 717 would sell. Hell, it would probably spark the 717 and carriers would start buying it, and bowing would be forced to reopen construction! Haha. The 717 does look really quite awesome in southwest's livery.

I've heard the Leonardo is a great MD-80. I think I'd personally rather see a 717. Then, along with the upcoming Coolsky DC-9, we'd have each generation!

On topic - I guess that's a limitation of dx10 preview. Objects made originally for fs9 don't load the textures correctly in fsx. From what I've read.That being said, I can live with a few gray textures (even moving woai traffic...although that's kind of annoying) for the performance boost I get. I've tried doing this, and I agree completely with it. However, I have fsx on a laptop that is leased from the university I'm going to, and they loaded this thing up with so much crap it is ridiculous. While I'm writing this post I have 81 processes running and 43% of 4 gigs of ram is being taken up by god knows what....is there any way to clear some of that up? Is there any way to know what processes are necessary for the computer to run? On startup I generally have about 32-35% of my ram used before starting any program. Sorry I know this is off topic.

I do believe this was it. Happened again today, restarted the computer and the performance went back up! Thanks for the advice!

Well this is interesting... Because of this thread, I checked out dx10 preview and gained 20 fps. It was amazing. I hit full sliders, loaded up a flight at my most loaded up airport, put in a cumulous layer from 5000 to 13000, and hit full rain, at dusk. I was still getting the same fps (around 10) that I did on a perfectly sunny day, half sliders in dx9. Life was perfect for about an hour. Then I shut down fs and did some work. Came back tonight and loaded up a flight, and I'm stuck at about 6 fps, even with sliders set completely to 0...does anyone know why this would possibly happen?

I checked out the beta twice. The first time I went...eww. Then I waited a couple days and went...eww. I had hopes for it, but the whole gizmo on the top of the screen (compass, airspeed and all that) really disappointed me. It truly is an arcade game. There may be workarounds, so there may still be hope..but we'll see.

Just downloaded a bunch of mesh for Alaska and Canada!! Gotta start pinchin the pennies! Honestly I've had little interest in the oldies, but just looking at those pictures makes me wanna learn!!
