  1. You can! Except the original 777-200/300 were intended more for domestic operations, to replace planes like the L-1011, DC-10 and even 747-100.
  2. Well, seeing these photos are all of a 777-200LR, and they are the first that PMDG is allowing the public to see, my guess is that we'll get it right off-the-bat.
  3. The Boeing 747-400D is used for Tokyo-Sapporo flights in Japan, and Delta has a 777-200LR go from KLAX-KATL to reposition the jets from the Sydney route for the Johannesburg route. Boeing 747's are also used between Hong Kong and Tokyo, Taipei and Tokyo...Air France even used an A380 from Paris to London-Heathrow during summer over the years past.
  4. Since the words 'PMDG' and 'A2A' were used here, I'd fancy the idea of a Boeing 307 Stratoliner!A2A already have the B-17G, and with proper modifications, some captain of the ship, and new engines, we could have the most graceful airliner of the 1930's!
  5. And of course the Boeing 787.
  6. WIll there be a Dreamlifter as well?
  7. It isn't necessarily a waste of money, Captain Sim isn't all that bad. But seeing that the PMDG 777 will be out soon, it depends what the price of Captain Sim's is. PMDG is so far ahead of other developers in their category, comparing anybody with them is essentially unfair.
  8. Holy crap! This is so awesome! I can't believe how much we've been brainwashed by the 737NGX's slow progress, and suddenly a project that we've never seen yet, and one that wasn't confirmed are going to be out soon!My wallet is going to be happy-ish.
  9. I think they mean that a failures model won't be installed, they're talking about programmable failures, because with 72 cylinders, eight magnetos, and so on, it would be a very complex failure modeler, especially when compared to the NGX.
  10. They did this for the 747-8 Intercontinental's endurance flight for FAA certification, but stopped at 747, forgetting the '8' and 'Intercontinental'
  11. They actually do have plans for the P-8, and the 'wedgetail' military variants. A simple repaint covers the C-40 Clipper.
  12. A PMDG DC-3? That is quite an awesome idea. Since the thread's first post included the words "PMDG", "communication", "Scott", and "A2A", perhaps we'd see a joint-venture DC-3?
  13. Awesome news! I love nothing better than a good propliner, always more fun than a jet where you can't see much going on. I'll enjoy flying around in this DC-6, probably Delta domestic stuff, where the Stratocruiser's cool features don't matter as much. Since this is numbered, I can't wait for #2, and perhaps there's a #3?
  14. Well it is a Southwest plane, I'm sure the paint scratches made the hideous paint job a little better.
  15. My life would flash before my eyes, and I would be so happy!
  16. You would just need to rewok the engines, wings, hydraulic systems, fuselage...basically turn a good airplane into a bad airplane: Douglas Death Star (you know, Lockheed TriStar..)
  17. The Global Hawk isn't stationed at Nellis AFB plus, the only Hawks painted white are NASA ones, operating out of Dryden. Perhaps an A-10 Thunderbolt? It possibly could be a B-1 Lancer, if the wings were out. At that angle, the four engines may have looked like two or one.
  18. Okay, there is no such thing as a commanded roll...
  19. Si there wake turbulence in FSX? Btw, you can't have a commanded roll, let alone an uncommanded one...
  20. I got the same email, so you're not going crazy...
  21. Uh, well, Orbx have never actually announced any Southeast United States. I'm looking forward to Northern California, Southern Rockies, and possibly Southern California
  22. I'm looking forward to the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter Accusimmed :(
