I love my flight sim and spend a lot of money on it but there will always be someone who has a better setup than I have - its the nature of the beast!

MSFS not returning to main menu
BritishEagle replied to Papa Golf's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
I find that when I go back to menu or restart it totally crashes my system and it takes sometime for it to restart. Could this be a graphics card problem? Is it a system problem? or is there something in MSFS that gives the wrong reset address to the system? It even does it when I run it without community files added. Any ideas? -
I like it.....

I have a Samsung 4k screen, its given me problems as to the right settings for the display, the fms wont show up on the Diamond twin, the prop on the default Cessna looks like there is a chunk missing and it expands and contracts as it turns. I am still juggling with the nvidia settings and have turned off the vsync as laminar suggested and nothing works, so its back to the drawing board on this one, but if you can get the rest working, the scenery looks awesome on a low level vfr flight, so much so I have a version for uk vfr and another for world flying on my pc with 10tb of space to hold it all in.

I'd love to know if there is a British Eagle texture out there somewhere...

Bought a 4k screen for Prepar3d...
BritishEagle replied to fruitloop's topic in Aviation and Flight Sim Video Forum
It looks good at 720, but You tube do have 4k playback can you put it back up under 4k that could be really awesome -
If in doubt take them all out and do a clean re install, that way you get it the way you like it. I generally VFR through the UK and Netherlands. I use the ORBX England and a lot of local addons but for the Netherlands I use the NL2000 collection and that is one heck of a great collection of scenery, and I would say thats better than the orbx vector for Europe (if you fly in Europe of course). I try to make scenery as easy to remove and just as easy to reinstall whenever I need to. I keep my scenery on a separate drive and share the files with FSX and P3D.

Latest photos of Carenado Embraer Phenom 100
BritishEagle replied to Curly's topic in Carenado General Forum
I have it running in P3d, I love it, I love eye candy (just watch me at the M&M shop in New York - Kid in a sweetshop... no really!) I miss is the MBB Hansa jet - A2A - are you listening? Oh and a Piaggio P166 Portofino in red white and black are on my Santa list...... but going back to the Phenom, it looks sleek, its slow but elegant, its VFR jet flying in a lovely package which is fine for me. Ive read the comments above from everyone, and basically if you pick at something it will never get better, and to be honest IMHO its a good product and I wont lose sleep because this isn't accurate or that isn't reacting as it should, who gives a hoot? life's to short to faff around, get on your PC, fly and chill out with a beer and don't complain to Carenado cos the bottle opener isn't on the left hand side! -
Defragging is a good way of burnng your HDD out quite quickly, the only way you will get it perfect and be able not to worry about whats on it and how it gets access to it quicker is by using an SSD and I now have FSX and XPLANE10 on an SSD and its worth the investment and defragging is a thing of the past even when adding software into the flight sims ORBX runs superbly and no stuttering. If you can get one - do it and forget about defragging etc.

its worth collecting everything they have done, I do, there was talk of them stopping, I couldnt take the chance of not having their fantastic work on my setup. I will be sorry if they do stop, but I'm more than grateful for the files I do have from them and will be able to use for as long as fsx is viable. Thanks WOAI you are the best bar none
