For anyone having FPS issues with the SP1b
Hi Thomas, i ran into the same problem a few days ago. After reinstalling Active Sky Next I suddenly had only 3-4fps in the VC. As you already mentioned, a comlete uninstall and a fresh reinstall of the 777, in the same order you mentioned, solved the problem. Cheers

Problems with time compression 8x
I tried it with a fresh fsx.cfg and FSUIPC cinfig file, but it didn't help. THe aircraft is still flying zick zack like crazy. :-(

Problems with time compression 8x
Hi guys, 1) Do you see the airplane begin to wander in 8x+ time compression if you use PMDG's Auto-Time-Compression feature? Yes 2) Do you see the airplane begin to wander in 8x+ time compression if you manually set the time compression using the FSX menu or key commands? Yes 3) Do you have FSUIPC installed? Yes 3a) Which version is installed? 4.934 3b) Have you tried deleting your FSUIPC config file and letting it rebuild? No 4) Have you tried deleting your FSX.CFG file and letting it rebuild? No 5) Do you have Lockheed Martin Prepar3d installed on this machine? No 6) When the airplane begins to wander, watch the HEADING ROSE on the NAV DISPLAY very carefully. Is it rotating in the proper direction and remaining in sync with the airplane heading? If not- we need to know. When the airplane begins to wander the heading on the PFD and ND are not in sync with the bank angle. It seems to be too late, if you know what I mean. If the aircraft finished its left turn and is starting to bank to the right, the heading is stille turning too the left and it takes some time before it starts to turn to the right. Another thing I noticed is, that the standby compass is not in sync with the heading on the ND. It seems to react quicker to the bank angles of the aircraft than the ND. It also comes quicker to the correct heading as soon as I pause FSX. When I pause, the sim stops and the aircraft stops too but the heading is still moving. Sometimes it takes up to 10s to come to the correct value. It seems the heading is lagging behind the rest of the sim. I hope this will help. Paul BTW: I also have the issue with the pausing FSX (not the freezing aircraft). Sometimes the sim freezes for 15min. But the aircraft keeps to simulate, because when the sim returns to normal operatian, the aircraft has burnt fuel in the meantime without actually moving. ;-)

GE, RR or PW?
I really love the power and growling sound during start up of the GE90. It is so amazing. But I'm looking forward to the Trent 800. Because it has a very deep growling sound when spooling up from ground idle. Maybe somewhere between 20-30%N1. I noticed it on a B777-300 equipped with RR-engines from Thai Airways on my flight from BKK to MEL. During taxi you could hear it all the time when the pilots applied thrust to start taxiing. I love this sound. Can't wait to hear in FSX. Cheers

777 and 747 2.0 progress
I think you read a bit to fast. What they were saying in the article is: "Both will be released within a month or two of each other." That means that the 747 is anticipated to be released on or two months after the release 777. Not in one or two months. Sorry... But I'm not quit sure that this information is true. Let's have a cup of tea and wait. Cheers

PMDG Conference Videos
Believe me guys, the rest is even more funny.Especially when someone yelled "Airbus" during Q&A.

PMDG Conference Videos
I've been there and the crowd was laughing and smiling but you can't hear it on the video.Like you can't really hear Vince in the background answering Roberts questions.Maybe because the guy with the camera is sitting directly in front of the speaker and so the background noise is blocked out.In my eyes it was a very funny presentation and I was laughing a lot.And also it was a great thing to meet these guys in person and to see that they are real and not just a picture in this forum ;-)

Finally learned to land this thing!
Lufthansa pilots learn how to fy in Phoenix Arizona. They are using the Beechcraft Bonanza. There they are learning the basics of flying an aircraft. How to recover a stall and etc. After that they are flying with a Cessna Citation CJ1+ back in Germany. So they don't jump right in the cockpit of an real airliner. the basics are important.

rotating beacon
I've found this:" Flashing characteristics. ... must give an effective flash frequency of not less than 40, nor more than 100, cycles per minute. The effective flash frequency is the frequency at which the airplane's complete anticollision light system is observed from a distance, and applies to each sector of light including any overlaps that exist when the system consists of more than one light source. In overlaps, flash frequencies may exceed 100, but not 180, cycles per minute."The 40 flashes per minute refers to the whole anti collision light system. That means the beacon and the strobe lights (the 737 has two different strobe lights, one on the tail and two on the wings) have to flash 40 times a minute but not the beacon alone. So 7 seconds can be enough if the other flashing lights have a higher frequency.Cheers

25SEP11: Latest Hotfix and SP1 Scheduling..
Thank you! This way I can change it, but where is the option within the FMC. Before the hotfix it was on the first site of the aircraft options, on the bottom of the page. Now there is an empty space. Is it it still possible to change this within the FMC or is there a reason the option has been dropped? Thanks

25SEP11: Latest Hotfix and SP1 Scheduling..
I've git a queation about the hotfix. What happened to the option to disable the autotuning of the ILS-course?I can't find it anymory and I want to tune in the course myself because sometimes it tunes in the wrong course. Was that a change of the hotfix? It looks like some of the option for the aircraft configuration got changed. So can someone please tell my how to disable the autotuning with the latest version installed. Thanks Paul

Pneumatic system bug
Hi Bob, This is because the APU only provides what is demanded by the system. When you switch off the packs you don't need bleed air, so the APU reduces the bleed air output to save some fuel. The same when you start the engines, you need a lot of airflow, so the duct pressure is increased by the system. But there are some other threads about this fact.Try search them, if want more information. PS: First I thought it is a bug too. ;-) http://forum.avsim.net/topic/342066-duct-pressure-on-startup/page__hl__duct+pressure__fromsearch__1 Cheers

Problem with Antialiasing
I installed it a week ago.Since then the AA isn't working on FSX. Doesn't matter what i try. I already deleted the FSX-profile within the driver and reinstalled it. Even when I deactivate the AA within the driver and set it to default, I can't even get the the FSX-AA to work. I don't know exactly what you mean with fresh install option?I installed it with the express option of the installer. Thx

Problem with Antialiasing
Hi guys,I've got a question. I used the setting that Ryan posted here and it worked. But a few days ago I installed a new Nvidia-driver and now I can't get the AA to work properly.I tried to set all settings of the driver to the original values and tried activate the FSX AA but nothing works. Can someone please help me to get AA to work again, because without it is pretty ugly. The actual Nvidia driver is 280.26 and NVIDIA INSPECTOR is Version 1.9.5.5.Thanks in advance

Pressurization Panel?
It is for the air conditioning system. So the automatic systems knows the profile of your flight (cruise altitude and landing altitude) and can set up the cabin pressure accordingly. If your cruising altitude is low, the system sets the cabin altitude lower than it would be the case if you were climbing at a higher altitude. If you don't set the correct values you can get some trouble with the cabin pressure. And it does this also to pressurize the the cabin with a higher pressure to make sure that all doors are being pushed into their frame to ensure that they are sealed. And it also increases the stability and strength of the fuselage if it is pressurized before takeoff and landing.

autopilot disengage sound does not stop on landing phase
You can't switch it off with Z properly.Assign a new Key command within the FMC for example ALT + Z.Then push it twice. The first one will disengage the autopilot and the second one would silence the alarm. The same with Autothrottle-switch.

LNAV wont engage
From introduction manual: I couldn’t get LNAV to arm/engage: LNAV has some specific parametersthat must be met in order for it to arm/engage. These are: • To arm LNAV while on the ground: The first waypoint in yourflight plan must be within 5 degrees of the departure runwaycourse.• To arm LNAV in flight : Requires a valid interception point foractive leg, interception angle less than 90 degrees OR within 3miles cross tracks error OR within 3 miles from active. LNAV willstay armed until interception.

Panel and airfraft freeze.
For me it only freezes while going through the LEGS page by hitting the STEP button and only if I loaded a panel state!

Panel and Aircraft Freeze
Before anyone is going to complain.Yes I've read the post about this from Mr. Randazzo and yes I've submitted a ticket with all the informations he required. But I've got some additional information about that fact and I don't want to open another ticket. But I've been able to reproduce the failure now.For me the aircraft freezes every time I load a panel state. It doesn't matter if it is one from PMDG or a state I created myself. After that it happens everytime and only if I'm going into the LEGS page, to step through the route via STEP in the PLAN mode on the EFIS.At the moment I hit STEP the aircraft freezes and is not responding correctly. The buttons and switches move but nothing is happening. But when I load the aircraft right away and don't load a panel state, I can step trough my rout without any problems. And the problem is happening on the ground, while taxiing or during flight. Maybe this helps to solve that issue. BTW: For the moment I'm fine to put the aircraft into Cold and Dark myself after I loaded it. Its only a matter on seconds to turn the necessary switches. ;-) Happy Landings and I hope I'm not getting beaten up for starting another thread on this topic. CheersPaul BTW2: Great job with that aircraft PMDG, I especially love the sound. Well done!

Problem with my HUD (Zoom)
As you can see clearly on your pictures, you are too far away from the HUD. Move closer! You can move your point of view in the virtual cockpit with following keys. forward: Ctrl + Enterbackward: Ctrl + Backspace Up: Shift + EnterDown: Shift + Backspace Right: Ctrl + Shift + EnterLeft: Ctrl + Shift + Backspace

Head up Display out of line
Hi Ian, With the first one I can't help you because I'm at work ;-)But I think it is on the first page in the ROUTE part. Where you enter your destination and origin. But i haven't saved a flight so far. Sorry And the shortcuts I told you are FSX own shortcuts, they work in every plane. And on the NGX you can see the keyboard asignments in the FMC (I don't know the correct name for the Display unit at the moment, maybe CDU!?). under menu and then PMDG options. Cheers

And yes there is no panel for the Throttle quadrant in 2D cockpit. It is written in the introduction manual.Try to read it. It's worth it! Cheers

Panel and airfraft freeze.
I had the problem with the frozen aircraft too. After about 45min into the flight. In 2D-panel and also VC.The strange part was, when i saved the flight and left to mainmenu and then reloaded the flight, everything was fine until I've tried to reload the panelstate. Shortly after the panel was loaded the problem occurred again. It was the only time I had this problem and it happened when I tried to increase the simulationrate. Maybe it is related to that fact. My specs:Phenom II X4 635GTX4604GB RAMWin7 64bitFSX SP2 (on a different HDD)
