  1. Hi, There is no discount. You will have to pay the full price for the license for P3D.
  2. Hi, If you attempt to load the NGX "on top" of itself or any other non-default P3D aircraft (meaning that you don't exit the sim before loading again the NGX it usually gives bad results and there is no real fix for that. It is never advised to reload a complex addon on top of another one without exiting P3D as well as having a complex addon by default in the launch menu and select another one on top. P3D doesn't manage very well the transition between a complex addon and another on a same session as it preloads some systems and keeps them in memory even when exiting to the launch window. So unfortunately, if you have already loaded a flight with a complex addon and wish to load a saved flight, the only way to make properly is to exit the sim, relaunch it and load the saved flight directly from the launch window.
  3. Fs2crew recreates a multi-crew environment with interactions with a FO following several real SOPs. The FO will perform their own flows depending on the phases of the flight and you will do the checklists together, and (for the voice version) the FO will be a great help in executing some commands such as entries on the MCP, flaps and gear and various other systems (anti-ice, fuel pumps, lights...). When flying manually, you can keep both hands on the controls and give instructions to the FO for these systems. It's only my personnal opinion but yes I would say it is a must have and I cannot imagine flying the aircraft without it.
  4. Hi, No, the license cannot either be exchanged or upgraded. You have to buy the PMDG's addons P3D v4 version full price in any case.
  5. I don't remember for the NGX but on the 747 an invalid pitch/roll mode may prevent the engagement of the AP. Recycling both FDs reset the AP modes so it may be the explanation. However in this case you should have the red alert autopilot on the EICAS along with the invalid mode struck through in yellow on the FMA. Or maybe the default FSX autopilot assignement just messes up with the AP of the NGX. In any case, I would suggest not to use the Z key anymore in the NGX or delete the default assignement in the FSX controls and assign it to the AP disconnect switch in the key commands in the PMDG setup via the CDU.
  6. Can you post a screenshot of the MCP and PFD?
  7. What exactly happens when you try to reengage the AP? What alert, display? And what is displayed on the FMA for the active/armed modes?
  8. As advised by Dan, you should assign the key to the AP disconnect switch in the key commands through the CDU. As suspected, the Z default sim assignment must put the AP disconnect bar in the lower position hence the impossibility to reengage the AP. Do you mean that you engage the AP on the ground before taking off? If ever it is possible this is not the correct procedure. The AP should be engaged only above 400ft AGL.
  9. Hi, Is your Z key simulating the AP disconnect switch on the yoke of the AP disconnect bar on the MCP? If the disconnect bar is in the lower position, you cannot engage the AP. Also check that your controls are at neutral position and the aircraft trimmed. These are the two situations preventing the AP to be engaged that come to my mind.
  10. Hi, I don't have the expansion 600/700 for the NGX but if it is like for the 777-300ER for the 777-200LR, then you have a different activation code for the base and the expansion. You said you entered the activation code of the base for the expansion, it may be the issue.
  11. Actually the three current main airports in UE where you can see the most 744 are EGLL, EHAM and EDDF since they are the main hub of the BA, LH and KL which are the three european airlines which still have pax (and cargo for KL) services with the 744. When I'm looking for 744 real flights to reproduce in sim, I hardy find any out of these three airports except some few flights from EGKK with Virgin Atlantic maybe. Now it depends on what the OP is looking for in his initial request, whether it is a search for nice addons of airports that can accommodate the 744 not taking into account the real 744 flights or the airports which in real has 744 flights. For the cargo flights, it is more difficult to find the 744 cargo flights since they usually don't all appear on the sites like flightradar24, flightstat or flightaware. Personnally, I love FlyTampa EHAM and like Aerosoft EDDF pro. I also have UK2000 EGLL but I find the textures quality lower at mid-range settings. I also love the T2G LFPG and EDDM but there are almost no real 744 flights there (either pax or cargo).
  12. Hi. No, you don't have to press the ALT button to descent at the TOD if you have selected a lower altitude normally. What is the pitch mode displayed on the FMA? It should read VNAV PATH and it is required for the descent to occur automatically at TOD as per above. If VNAV ALT is displayed instead (which would not normal at this stage) then you need to press ALT. If anything else is displayed, verify the VNAV is engaged as it is required for the automatic descent with a lower level selected on the MCP.
  13. Hi, It may be worth deleting the file named ARPT_RWY.dat in the PMDG\NavData\ folder and let it being rebuilt the next time you launch the Sim. It usually solves the issues of missing rwys providing you have a valid airac which is the case from your post.
  14. Mmhh... What is the purpose of your post? Do you think it really helps answering the OP's request in anyway? In addition be kindly informed that the forum rules require to sign all the posts with full names.
  15. The eyepoint is where your head is in the cockpit (which corresponds to what you say when you re-arrange the cockpit by moving it to the left - you actually don't move the cockpit but your eyepoint). To check the eyepoint, swing the view to the right or the left and you see through the headrest, then you are too backwards and you need to use the keys (I don't remember which ones) to move the view forward. In any case, if your clickspots are not available anymore, try to move the view a little forward (or the cockpit backwards as you say in your post, it is just a matter of perspective).
  16. Hi, Just in case, have you tried deleting the shaders folder and let the sim rebuild them? It may fix the black textures. However I don't know for the strange noise and the "TV broken signal" on the main view.
  17. Hi, Just to rule out a possible cause, because you talked about switching the views but I didn't see you mentioning that you tried to move the eyepoint. Are you sure that you are not in the head rest? The issue with the intermittent loss of the clickspots can be explained by the fact that the eyepoint is set according to the position of the CG and moves slightly with the latitude and heading so sometimes. I don't remember the controls to move the eyepoint but you could try to move a little forward when the clickspots don't work anymore.
  18. No problem! For your info, be advised that the forum rules require that all the posts be signed with the full names, first and last.
  19. Hi, It is not an issue but an option that you can select in the PMDG setup via the CDU.
  20. Maybe a bit snob but to me Concorde is of her own kind and category!
  21. Agreed. That's why I deselected the option.
  22. Hi, First the GPWS "terrain" warning is based on the radio altimeter (it basically physically detects that the height over the terrain is decreasing fast and is too low). As far as I know the altimeter setting has nothing to do in the callout. In real there may be some other things than the ground that can trigger a Terrain warning. There was a case of a 737 in Asia that got that warning at FL250 when crossing huge hailstones in a thunderstorm. Anyway in the sim, it may be an issue with the scenery itself with wrong definition, or you are too low and not in landing config. I don't have the FCOM at reach to check the conditions for the callout but I believe that the landing gear at least must be down below a certain altitude in order not have the callout in approach. As for the GS capture without the loc, it is quite surprising since there is no ILS at LOWI, there should be no GS at all... So you should be able to establish on the LOC but not the GS. Is the LOC frequency in the FMC matching the one in the sim?
  23. I think what the OP is asking is in the sim, is if there is any consequences in a cargo fires in the PMDG's and if there is any possible escalation of failures. At least it is how I understand his question. I guess everyone can easely figure out what would be the consequences of any uncontrolled fire in an airplane...
  24. Looks like Landing Rate Monitor to me. The video is blurring but the green line message could be the speed and fpm at landing which is given by LRM. The option to get handclaps at smooth landing appeared in the latest version.
