  1. Thanks, best explanation so far. Used to have the CH pedals, they are a bit different.
  2. Yes, all the reviews do say that the pedals are too far apart. Fingers?
  3. Hi, I just got a set of Saitek "Pro Flight Cessna Rudder Pedals", supposedly copied from the real thing. http://www.amazon.com/Saitek-Flight-Cessna-CES432070002-02/dp/B0058FADEA My question is where do I put my feet? There is a kind of "cup" in the middle of pedal, and I am wondering what goes in that "cup"? The heel of my foot? The ball of the foot? Dumb question, I suppose, but it has been over 40 years since I've piloted a real Cessna 152. As a student, of course.
  4. Gotta agree with this post! I was kinda so..so about Global until these latest screenies, now I am really looking forward to the release, can't wait to see some North Central Wisconsin shots. This really looks to be a game changer for FSX.
  5. Yup, the L-39 is one of my all time favorites, too. Great little GA rocket that will keep you on your toes, especially on landing. Whatever Lotus Sims comes out with next, will most probably buy.
  6. I hear the sound of something going over someone's head! Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  7. Ah, that may be the problem, been awhile since I installed Vashon.
  8. I believe you have to register, but they do have a support forum for their freeware. And don't quote me on this, but I think all "adding", " modifying", and such needs to be done through their propriety "FTX Central" control panel. Try the freeware support forum, they do have excellent support at FTX. I am sure they will get you sorted out.
  9. Thanks, got to go to sleep right now, but will apply answers in the AM, again, thanks!
  10. Inside a hanger, or parking spots outside the hangers? Thinking mostly Orbx airports and/or regions. It's probably simple, but I don't have a clue. Also, how do I pick a seaplane runway?
  11. Thanks, will try that. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2
  12. Attached a file, I think. The only thing I have changed in my FSX is adding Felts Field, but I doubt that caused this behavior. That's supposed to be the Baytower RV-7, but have the same behavior with the Realair Legacy. Any ideas?
  13. Often heard, and I agree that it is an amazing piece of kit, just not for me, not all the time.
  14. Not to be a smartass, and each to his own, but I think helicopters are the spawn of the Devil! Clankity, clackety, pieces banging and sliding past each other, waaaay too much racket for the results. Compare this to the graceful flight of a fixed wing aircraft.
  15. I know I have to be in the minority here, but I usually just use the hat switch in FSX. Maybe I am just lazy (always on the road and use a laptop to run FSX, but most times it seems more trouble than it is worth), but usually just fly without it. It may be because I use the laptop (17" screen) and that screws up the monitor to clip distance, but it is what it is. (Now that I've posted this, I may hook it up for this session of FSX, LOL!) Another factor may be that I fly "low and slow" GA 99% of the time?
  16. Don't have any Milviz a/c, but I do have the Realair legacy, and it has it's own effects and sounds that are similar to Accufeel, for that plane I just turn Accufeel off, no problem. But for airplanes like the Carenados, that are beautiful visually but lack these effects and sounds, it's a game changer. And now that water effects and physics are included, and for $5?? Where does the line start?
  17. I have no idea how to design in FSX, sorry. However, wasn't that one of the touted features of Xplane? Might want to check out some Xplane forums, and ask the question there. Good luck, in any case!

  19. I almost never change textures (running REXES), not because I am in love with the settings I have, but because if I only want to change, say, the clouds, REX insists on changing (or actually reloading) everything else. And reloading the water textures takes forever. Maybe I am doing something incorrectly?
  20. FlyAndFight, that video was amazing! The last iteration of F4 I had was AF. Might have to spring for a copy of the original F4.0, and try out this BMS!
  21. http://frugals-world.com/vbb/forum.php Still a work in progress, but old threads and logins are working. Mark is posting, also. Don't know about you all, but this is like Christmas to me!
  22. This. I tend to have 3-4 that I fly most (currently Legacy, C337, RV-7, and A2A Cub), but then it's nice to jump into the L-39 once in awhile, the Carenado 185 for my "Tweeto time", blah, blah, blah. Whatever strikes the mood at the time. I do understand the OP's method of madness, for me, however, that method seems too much like work. I sim to have FUN. For me, that means steak today, hot dogs tomorrow.
