1. I've become extremely tired of Winter this year, both in FSX and real world, so have just been changing the dates to Spring and/or Summer. Problem solved, except when I go out the door, LOL.
2. A2A KAP140 I can turn the AP off, and fly an interception to the GPS track, but it still will not pick up the proper heading? Hope the screenie shows.
3. Never, really. Nothing wrong with the default, just that most payware (and a lot of freeware) is so much better, IMHO. I would put around in the default 172 sometimes, but since A2A's Skyhawk came out...Well...
4. Not working for me. I can access the page, but when clicking "Click here to begin", the process comes to a stop. I've been recommended to not use it, but it did wonders for me. Sadly, I was seduced to try DX10, and lost my config when switching back to DX9. Aaaargh.
5. Understood. Just remember that at one time, my old system was "state of the art", LOL! And that even my old system is miles ahead of what we had in, say, 2006?
6. A little harsh, but I take your point. At the same time, realize that I am lucky to get, maybe, 2-3 hours a week available to spend on entertainment software. The tool worked wonders for me, with my now aging Asus G74 laptop. Add to that that I am really computer illiterate, and I found the auto-tweak tool extremely helpful. Maybe I should re-download "Flight", and leave FSX to the literati? And, FWIW, I can't, literally, remember the last time I had an FSX "CTD".
7. Link doesn't work for me, also. But, while it may have made things worse for some, countless others (myself included) can testify that it has made a world of difference, for the better, in FSX. Some of us would rather fly than tweak.
8. I am OK with enhancements, as long as they are listed. I am primarily thinking of scenery add-ons, where the main reason for having them in the first place is better visuals, and unlisted "mods" might not be exactly kosher.
9. I am thinking mesh, but maybe you all could recommend something else. I have REX, FTXG, various FTX regions, guess that's about it. I fly exclusively GA on the "low and slow" side, and mostly VFR. I use stock FSX real weather, with REX textures. I would like to get mesh, Opus, and some type of vector product (but I will probably wait for FTX's vector product), and maybe a landclass addon (also will probably wait for FTX's OpenLC). Hmmm, looking at the above, I have maybe answered my own question; it seems that a mesh product would be far the best for the next VFR product. Next maybe the weather, but depends on when FTX releases their next products. Open to suggestions and/or advice, though. In fact, I would welcome suggestions/advice.
10. I have been thinking re: flight behavior, maybe A2A has it correct, and Cessna has it wrong? Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

12. Well, mine starts the same way, so I would guess it's normal.
13. First, A2A support can be found here: http://a2asimulations.com/forum/index.php You can adjust the viewpoint to your liking using the "+" and "_" keys on your keyboard, also by panning.
14. Yes, this is an "all-in-one" product, the first for A2A Accusim, I believe.
15. Can't find it at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that I read in one of the developer's posts that, due to the nature of the accusim component and the sponsors, this time it will only be available fully accusimmed.
16. No idea what is going on with your machine (I am running FSX on an Asus G74 laptop [!]), but your OP had me laughing out loud, thank you for that.
17. The green desert textures are supposedly being looked at, and a fix is planned for the first patch (I think).
18. One of the things I really used to enjoy about flightsimming was all the speculating about upcoming sims, long before they came out. Of course, we don't know what we are talking about, but it's fun to gab, and thereby learn a little about our preferences and prejudices. So, given past releases by Realair and A2A, which do you think you will prefer? Or are you like me, and will probably get both? I love the Realair Legacy, just everything about it is superb. I also love what A2A does with their releases, and what Accusim brings to the flying experience. Both developers are absolutely top notch, with slightly different approaches to design philosophy, but both committed to excellence, IMHO. What say you?
19. Been down for me for most of the day, also. Thank God the FSS store is on a different server-1 more gig to d/l FTXG, 2 hours, LOL!
20.
And of course, the A2A Cub with window/ door open. Tad slow, but if you want to sight-see, I think that would be a plus.

Not sure if you can fit it with a glass cockpit, though.

(Beat me to it!)
What happened?
21. And I can't get the display to turn on? I've never bought/flown a glass cockpit, so thought I would just try the stock 172 and see how that went, but I cannot turn on the display. FWIW, using Bowerman, and the engine is running when I start. Anyone help?
22. Not day one for me, but that is job related (kind of up in the air right now), and once that is resolved, it's almost a sure thing. I want to fly around where I grew up (Wisconsin), and stock FSX just doesn't do it for me in that area. Also, I just can't fly anywhere other than the "regions" anymore, I would love to be able to do a little more "exploration" in the rest of the United States. edit: I do realize what the product will, and will not, do. I don't expect it to be anywhere as accurate as their regions. Still, I am looking for a major increase in "reality", we'll have to wait and see, I suppose.
23. I've never been "into" the heavies/tubeliners, so 99.9% of my flying is either in the Realair Legacy or the A2A Cub. And I feel a "little bit" guilty when I am in the Cub since it's basically just a "full throttle" and go airplane. I won't feel guilty when the RA or A2A 172 comes out, though, I expect 99% of my time will be in one or the other or both.
