  1. Looking absolutely realistic Rich!
  2. These are some damn good snapshots here Rich!
  3. Just absolutely beautiful - What a great scenery, looking super realistic in X Plane 11 and wonderfully captured here!
  4. I just can and want to echo what has been said here above in many posts. Thank You very much Rob and Sean for Your outstanding aircrafts, which without the slightest doubt, did a lot to make flightsimming an unique and fantastic experience whenever jumping into one of the great virtual cockpits of Your superb aircrafts! Thank You! Furthermore i am also wishing You and Your families all the very, very best, take care, Christoph
  5. Cool textures indeed! Very nice for sure!
  6. ... and it all does look mighty good so far- WOW! :o
  7. I really like the seasonal colours the ORBX textures are bringing into FSX/P3D - i really do like them (just as i like most of the ORBX stuff). However, when it comes down to landclass, the aligning of buidlings and roads and when it comes down to lighting and colours, X Plane is very, very convincing these days and has to offer a real lot! I am aware of the fact that the X Plane shot above is based on photoscenery, but as we are here to see how "impessive" X Plane may become if set up nicely, this shot is quite a good example for it (albeit the lack of seasonal variation of colours for ground textures ... ) And let's bare in mind that scenery (and scenerytextures) can be improved by 3rd party developers and/or users comparatively "easy" (time and/or money permitted), while improving/changing a sim's internal structur of using landclass information, mesh, vector data, the way how lighting and shadowing are being handled and all that are way harder to, or even impossible to change. So it is important to have a "plausible", convincing and reliable flightsim base to built on - and X Plane is quite impressive in this regards i think. ... i just rechecked Your great shots here Jeroen and have to say that compared to the real one from Norway right above, the third one taken in X Plane by Hans aka "hjsmuc" further above, looks quiet good in terms of lighting i think. By the way: Does anyone know if "ShePooley" and "Winterpackage" work under X Plane 11? Anyways, it is early days still and who knows where we will get with X Plane 11. So far however i remain "impressed", although being aware of the fact, that there is still a lot to be desired. But again - and for now - X Plane certainly seems to be heading into a very good direction. I am definitely going to enjoy flying around in X Plane 11 whenever possible - and sure i am going to keep my trustworthy FSX installed too, as there is nothing wrong in enjoying various simming platforms.
  8. Great work Jerone on Your first X-Plane scenery ... and ... ... no payware options for that larger areas at the moment if i recall correctly (and i may be corrected here). However, the more people getting interested in X-Plane and comming on board so to speak, the better the chances of getting more and more high quality sceneries for it.
  9. ... and how does P3D look like without ORBX? With all due respect Jeroen - really - but i think You are comparing apples and oranges here. I - and i am sure many, many others do so as well - are very much hoping for more and more dedicated 3rd party developers to join XPlane. It is the good old "chicken or egg - dilemma" i guess, meaning more customers/users, more dedicated 3rd party developers. Anyways, we'll find out anyway where X Plane 11 will be heading, or as You have mentioned it: ... to see where it is going ... +1 Could not say it any better.
  10. ... and i (as many others as well i am sure) fully agree on that! X- Plane has to offer a real lot, and there are a lot of talented developers out there doing a great job in making X-Plane a more and more fantastic flightsim platform!
  11. As just pointed out, there are indeed plenty of great donation/free- and payware sceneries available for X-Plane, such as HD Mesh by AlpilotX, Tony's World2XPlane sceneries or simHeaven - just to add a few more here. I'd also check out Beti-X as they also have to offer some super wonderful scenery!
  12. ...if the scenery is only half as good as their 172, i am pretty sure that we can expect some very high quality products!
  13. Awesome - looking super great indeed - and also very good to see Beti-X being still alive!
  14. I'm also quiet sure that this rendition of ENHA is indeed Tony's beautiful work.
  15. A spectacular screenshots indeed! And although still being and flying within the limits, i am already hearing some voices telling me: bank angle, bank angle ...
