I am not able to locate HyperThreading in my BIOS I have an Intel i7-4790K processor. Would it be under OC Tweaks? Could it be called something else such as Intel Speed Step Technology or Intel Turbo Boost Technology?

I have been learning to add scenery BGL files via SimDirector to my add-on airports. I am really enjoying adding GA and clutter to the airports. A couple of the major developers have added static planes complete with refueling and other services to their airports. My question is are they using an Airport Editor to eliminate some parking spots so as not to have AI planes parking on top of the static planes? If so, is the Airport Editor simple enough that even a novice as myself can edit parking spaces? I don't anticipate every developing my own airport but I am sure enjoying making my add-on airports come even more alive with humans and more stuff. Someday I may even find time to fly! Love the airport. Seems to perform okay for me...however, the night time runway texture is horrible. Totally agree with statements previously made about it. I'm only a simmer so I don't understand why some airports have amazing night time runway textures and some look like....well..some kind of mosaic art.

I agree. I am still using MT6 or Pro, whatever it is. I just expect planes at the airports and a few in the sky. MT6 does that. I will change at some point to get the better planes but I would like the US planes to be current liveries. Schedules mean very little to me. I would like it to be ready to go out of the box and user friendly. So I will continue to monitor forums for AI developer releases until I find the one I want.

Apparently I did not delete the 6 additional folders. If I wanted to correct that would I have to go through the whole procedure of the system uninstall from scratch via the install/uninstall in the control panel or can I delete those folders and a rebuild will occur. All seems to be running well. I have the new planes and the Beech planes are gone. Would rebuilding the config clean things up sufficiently.

I did a full install with V4 and expected the p3d config to be set back to default. All my settings were still in place. I deleted shaders and scenery but not the config file. Is there anything to be gained by rebuilding config file?

Very disappointing. That is the only issue I have. Will probably stay with 4.3 and explore hardware possibilities such as faster SSD. Thanks Bert.

I am seeing lots of chatter about FPS and blurries. However, can anyone report on the "stutter" effect. My FPS are good but trying to control the stutters is another issue along with the long pause when approaching a 3rd party airport. If they have been remedied, did you install just client or content and scenery as well? Thanks.

I have been watching this thread and admiring the work you put into the lighting. I love night flying and am so impressed with this mod. I am somewhat a "mod" novice so it appears that you simply add the ini file to the plane and all works without any other tweaks? Secondly, is it only for the 7373-800 or can it be added to the 737-700? I will be waiting for it's arrival in the AVSIM Library. Thank you for making something available to all of us.

RamonB, I was able to get the GTN750 installed perfectly. However, the right (co-pilot) Prodigy multi-function display no longer fills the entire panel. I can live with it but thought you might have an idea what went wrong. Thanks for your help.

RamonB, thanks, that makes sense. I will download it in the morning. Can I assume there are directions that I should follow to install it into the VC. Sorry for the confusion. I use poor terminology trying to explain what is happening. I thought that by having it in the Phenom folder that it was in the gauges. I appreciate your help.

That did not correct it. Any other suggestions anyone? Since I have the GTN via F10 can I assume it is loaded correctly. I did it via the Flight1 GTN setup. The Phenom was present in the list of aircraft. The GTN is in the SimObjects/Airplanes/Carenado Phenom folder. I watched a video on the installation on YouTube. That is where I found the click spot at a bottom screw to the left of the G1000. Is there any other click spot to install the GTN in the panel?

Found the click spot. I cannot get the "hand" to appear that will activate it. I keep pressing the cursor over it and nothing happens. I can press F10 and bring it to the screen. I cannot get it into the cockpit.

The GTN 750 is installed but I can't get the hotspot to activate it. I have rebooted to no avail. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks

I would get small stutters for a short period of time while the scenery loaded but not the actual pause.

I am experiencing an issue that I never had in V4.2. When I am near any addon airport I get a 1 to 2 second pause while the airport loads. This occurs when I am flying over an airport as well. For example, while flying from KSAN to KSFO I was near KMRY at FL210. I received the pause. I have a 4G 32" monitor. Using 29.5 FPS limiter and 1/2 refresh rate through NV Inspector. I have used many different AM settings and adjusted nearly every setting within the sim. It happens with PMDG and other quality addon planes. I even reverted back to a previous driver hoping to eliminate the problem. I get great FPS (limited as stated) and the overall flight is very smooth. I will continue to experiment in an attempt to solve this frustrating situation but I am curious if anyone else is experiencing this behavior or if anyone has a thought as to what my cause it or an area of troubleshooting I should concentrate on. I think my specs are in my signature. Thanks

I am way behind the knowledge curve that many of you have regarding the Affinity Mask (AM), batch file etc. I do try different AM numbers that you all provide even though I cannot define how it works. I also have the dreaded 2 second stall at certain times and locations. It drives me crazy. I spend more time testing and reading forums than flying. I nearly reverted back to v.2 yesterday since I had less issues and an AM that worked pretty well. I now have to have vsync and triple buffering on where I didn't before. I am not certain that updates are worth the hassle. For every new fix there is an unintended consequence. I appreciate all the comments and suggestions even though most of them are way over my head. Okay, I feel better now just getting it off my chest. Happy flying!

Clarifying that when I use the "+" and "-" on the time change box there is a very slow reply before the digit changes. I am having a hard time explaining what I am trying to say.

I have discovered a very troubling and frustrating issue in 4.3. While attempting to change the time of day in the start up page I found that there is a long period of delay when scrolling the number up or down. This happens with both the mouse and the up and down arrows. For instance if I the system time says 10 A.M and I want the flight to leave 8 hours later I try to change the number to 6 P.M. If I try to use the mouse wheel the number does not change for 30 seconds or so and then does not land on 6 P.M. The same thing happens if I try to change it using the up and down key on the key board. It is nearly impossible to set the time of day with this problem. I also discovered the same thing happens while in Sim Director in the Scenery catalog. If I click on an ORBX library for instance and want to change to another library it does the same as above. Even within a library and I want to select two different hangars it does the same thing in that box. I noticed the map area in Sim Director indicates that it is 6 or 7 FPS. I believe it was much faster in 4.2 I posted in LM forum but have received no remarks. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what I can do to fix it. 4.3 is working perfectly for me in all other aspects. Is this just an anomaly on my system or all systems. Hi Rob, do you know if FSDT and Flightbeam have updated or do you still have to move them out of the Documents folder?

I am still holding off. I had the black screen spooling up issue and went back to 4.2. I to, am hoping and waiting for a patch or fix from LM so that the transition does not require such an arduous troubleshooting experience to upgrade to 4.3.

Patience is very hard for me when a new product or an update is made available but after spending many hours trying to correct all the issues I deleted 4.3 and reinstalled 4.2 which worked very well for me. I will wait for a month or so and hope all the bugs will be fixed and then try again.
