If you like Aerofly FS, you'll LOVE FLIGHT!
Barnstormer1 replied to spilok's topic in Microsoft FLIGHT Archive
That is a choice individuals make. If you wanted to go to Alaska and fly around in the mountains with a C208, it was all included in previous FS flight games. Who knows with FLIGHT, it may cost $100.00 for sure it wont be available for free/included! -

All very good addons and I'll guarantee they are better than whats going to able in the DLC Feb 29th.Tom you gotta have the LevelD. Been using it since It came out through FS2004 and FSX. It never gets BORING. Very versatile. Just finished an ABX mission in her. -
Tom, please. is it time yet?

You could start your own Avsim FLIGHT group. More than likely the only members who would join would be the believers. -

Had this happen in the past. Disk 4 is defective, scratched or damaged. Use to be able to call MS and they would send a replacement relatively inexpensive. I would guess they wont do that anymore.

Normally you would setup the STAR with runway ops. North, south, east west. Then the RWY will be assigned by ATC. If you setup the STAR it should have crossing altitudes giving you a TOD. In your Boeing FMC flight plane you will also need an ending point or the FMC will not be able to determine TOD. I understand what you are saying. As long as you have a STAR programmed with altitudes or any crossing descent waypoint you should get a TOD. Hope that made sense.

Any 3PD's jumping on the bandwagon and offering discounts in the effort to support FSX/FS2004? -

No, that I have seen. -
Then why is it under the FLIGHT forum opposed to the FSX forum?

What Do You Think the Next DLC Will Be for Flight?
Barnstormer1 replied to Rush1169's topic in Microsoft FLIGHT Archive
Im guessing Midway!:) Seems SW coast of US would be logical and throw in an airframe to reach it.. Corporate Jet? -
Since the "sim communtiy" is so big and powerfull and willing to spend money. You could get a couple thousand to invest, say $500.00 or $10.00/mo, (acording to the Prepar3d people thats a "drop in the bucket") you would have.1,000,000.00 in capitol. Shouldn't be a problem!! Hire a group of programmers and you would have ya a sim! Piece of cake :)

Unless I'm missing something? No integrated graphics are going to be sufficient for running a sim with any kind of complexity or reliability. Dont need a monster graphics card but! The CPU isnt made for gaming either. Am I missing something here? It would make a good business desktop or maybe running FLIGHT.

May Lockheed Martin take over the virtual world (and more)

Perhaps for you it is. Over 6 yrs thats $720.00 That does not represent a majority when you have 8 mouths to feed. Thats alot of food on the table, book rentals, tanks of gas, utility bills paid, college tutition.........For a 1%, pocket change! -
Why can't we have a civil discussion about Flight...
Barnstormer1 replied to a topic in Microsoft FLIGHT Archive
Ive come to the conclusion the people that are disappointed with an unreleased Flight, must hate FSX and FS2004 even more? Due to their distaste for them, they were hoping for a replacement and when it became evident it's not going to be, they felt betrayed. Comparing Flight to FSX is like comparing Train Simulator to FSX. They are a completly different enities and purpose. Those who felt the MS statements in regards to Flight are simply reading into them what they wished for. Simulator/Not simulator. Having used Flight for a month. I have found a newfound appreciation and respect for FSX/FS2004 base content and the 3PD people building content for them. With recent developements . It is apparent that MS is willing to make changes to Flight in response to input. Could be many people will be made a fool. I shall remain neutral as I dont like to be made a fool. Other wise WHO CARES :) -
Seems it would take 20 yrs for Flight to assemble the DLC that is available for FSX and FS2004. The prices aren't that far out of line I guess. The complexity of the Vans and Maule, though graphicaly nice, aren't what I would expect in payware aircraft. I didn't wouldn't bother downloading an anti cockpit P51.My impression is, More than paying for scenery, your buying missions, jobs coinage etc. If thats yo bag!
