  1. ...try reducing your descent rate and begin your descent earlier... Calculate it for -2500fpm for FL400 until FL100 then reduce it more to about -1000ft. Extending the speedbrakes and the landing gear helps as well

  4. Word Not Allowed, I can't thank you enough for you trying to help.True! Looks like FPS set to unlimited in the sim caused the whole thing.. It's now loading everything in time but at the price of 5-7 fps.. Is that normal? Is there a possible way not to loose frames by using the FSX limiter itself?
  5. Unfortunately, it's happening again.. :( I even tried on an unmodified fsx.cfg. Checked for textures missing alphas and that did't help neither.. It's really a mistery what i'm experiencing.. I haven't change anythimg from the last time it was working.. :(

  11. Word Not Allowed, you are fully correct. The first thing i done with my fsx.cfg (it was about an year ago) was sending it to venetubo. By this time i didn't know about your guide. In time i learned more and more about the cfg tweaking and started sticking in it the advices you're giving. As you can see the final product is messed up.. I realized that i have never rebuilt the cfg. So now that i did so i'm about to set it entirely according to your guide. For now things are better than before but sure they're not as it should be. The loading of the ground textures takes decades if i'm in the air flying. The bad thing is that it's happening with all default settings (all sliders to the right though) and entirely bypassing the nspector .. I defragmented the drive. That helped a little witch suggests me that my hard disk may need a replacement.. It served me well for about 4 years now..

Now I can fly longer before the non-loaded areas left behind. As soon as i'm on the ground all the scenery loads up in no-time. Funny as i was wondering just last week if i should buy an SSD and move the whole simulator there. Daveo, it's W7 64bit. What are the lines you wrote for?
  13. Guys, thanks a lot!!! It tried everyone's advice. UsePools=0 and Reject threshold=0 makes no difference here. I use external limiter (30fps) through the inspector. I have set vsync to 1/2 refresh rate. It's a single display setting.. Lowering the water detail didn't help so the only thing left now is to see is the TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT at 40.. Unfortunately I must try to have some sleep now. I will post here later if there is an improvement... Pretty exhausted after a night of proving 500 ways that don't resolve the issue :lol: Thank you, guys a lot for trying to help! Very kind of you!
  14. Yes, thank you. I'm familiar with his guide and i built my fsx.cfg thanks to him. Actually i just deleted the file to let fsx generate a new one and there is no difference.. :( I will try defragmenting now.. Any other suggestions?
  15. Since couple of days i observe a really strange behavior in my simulator. After a departure from an airport, where all the surroundings look as they should, no matter the course things change. After passing the initially loaded area i'm now flying above a non-loaded-look-alike area. Overflying it i see autogen slowly loads here and there but the ground textures are simply unrecognizable. I'm not speaking about any add-on sceneries here. It happens with the default ground and autogen. I tried settings FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION, but the result with 0.11, 0.15, 0.33 or even 0.50 looks the same. The DisablePreload=1 didn't help either.   17. I use heavily tweaked Wilco's evolution vol.1 merged with the exterior model of Project Airbus and I must say i'm pretty satisfied. From what I heard though it looks like Black Box Simulation's Airbus v.054 is pretty good too. That is all it is on the market for now but have in mind that Aerosoft, Airbus X Extended must get released soon. The biggest expectations go to FlightSim Lab's Airbus but don't know when it will be ready..

  21. 1. Create a shortcut with the following address: "D:\FPS LIMITER\FPS_Limiter.exe" /r:D3D9 /f:20 /x:ON /l:OFF "D:\Simulator\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe" 2. Change the destinations to your exe's (fps limiter and fsx) to match their address on your system 3. Run your simulator by double- clicking the new shortcut! Good luck! P.S. "/f:20" means that FPS_Limiter is limiting to 20fps. You could change it to whatever number you want P.S.S watch out for these quotation marks in your address. They really help the shortcut find it's destination, especially when there are spaces in the folders names
  22. For the A320 The landing speed is usually calculated that way: GW (kg)/1000 + 75 + 1/3 of the head wind component. Example GW of 60 000 kg and a 6kt head wind will give you 60 + 75 + 2 = 137 kt
  23. I remember receiving the same crash when on final with the MD11 (VATSIM online).. Since then i paranoically switch TCAS to standby during all of my approaches
