  1. I would have to say Active Sky Next. The biggest thing about ASN is that it has accurate cloud placement. This would mean that it would say at a specific GPS coordinate, there is a cloud of this type and weather it is producing precipitation or not. This is why PMDG is finally able to develop an accurate weather radar for FSX and P3D. ASN also has turbulence, windshear, and microbursts modeled which also has never been done before. The thing about ASN is that you'll need third party textures, or you are going to have to put up with the default textures in FSX/P3D.
  2. Your best option would be to submit a ticket to PMDG at support.precisionmanuals.com. You might have removed your PMDG add-ons in a wrong way, but I am not exactly sure.
  3. Does Topcat include a module for the Boeing 777-200LR and the 777F and the 737NG series?
  4. Does anyone know any good scenery for OMAA. The default scenery in FSX is already outdated. I am looking for a decent scenery for the airport including the new runway in it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  5. You have to really careful when taxiing in the 777-300. This is a heavier aircraft than the -200. You have to manage this aircraft well during the taxi and always stay ahead of the aircraft while on the ground. You also have to manage these engines carefully since they are really powerful. The best guide on how to taxi in the Boeing 777 would be the Flight Crew Training Manual provided by PMDG with the 777.
  6. I am not using them. I heard they are really good and have a sturdy all-metal design. Keep in mind that the initial purchase price is high. This really depends on how much you are dedicated to the hobby of flight simulation. I have a CH yoke hooked up to my laptop along with CH rudder pedals and a Saitek Throttle Quadrant and I am satisfied with it. Of course the GoFlight product feel more realistic. You may also checkout Frooglesim's GoFlight yoke review. He is using the yoke and throttle quadrant currently.
  7. First off, do you have maintenance-based failures and random failures turned off in the options menu in the CDU? If you do have some turned on, go to the maintenance options and repair the aircraft from there. This shoul dfix your problem. Make sure you do not override your brakes during taxiing. This can cause them to overheat.
  8. The best option would be to submit a ticket to PMDG at support.precisionmanuals.com, and they should be able to sort your issue out.
  9. You have to first de-activate the license for the PMDG 777 using the CDU within FSX. After that, you should go to the control panel and uninstall the PMDG 777. After that is done, you should make sure that all the PMDG 777 folders within the main FSX folder (Program files (x86)) to make sure that the aircraft is completely uninstalled.
  10. Different airlines having different configurations for their aircraft. A Boeing 777 is definitely different in terms of options from one airline to another.
  11. The checklists on the PMDG 777 are based on Boeing's own checklists for the aircraft. Boeing usually customizes the electronic checklists according to each airline's request. PMDG just chose to give us the checklists that Boeing created for the 777 with the PMDG 777X.
  12. You can setup if the aircraft has AUX tanks or not in the PMDG Setup through the CDU.
  13. You also have to make sure that all your lighting knobs are also centered then you can use the Master Brightness knob to set the brightness of all lights in the flight deck.
  14. I would rather stay with the -200LR because it is fully capable of ultra long haul flights. Remember that the -200LR holds the world record for the world's longest flight. I do not see a point in PMDG modeling another -200.
  15. Your best option would be to submit a ticket to PMDG at support.precisionmanuals.com This seems to me like it is an installation. The folks at PMDG should be able to help you out as long as you purchased the product.
  16. Buy it and you will never regret it. This airplanes has all systems accurately modeled along with the 777's Fly-By-System accurately modeled. This is without a doubt the most realistic simulation you will every get for a complex airliner such as the Boeing 777. This product is licensed by Boeing so expect to be studying a lot when you buy it. It comes with over 3,000 pages of documentation. The key idea behind it is the enjoyment of learning. This is not an aircraft that you will just take up and mess around with in the air.
  17. The flight model in FSX is never accurate in terms of how an aircraft handles. Most of us simmers would not really notice the difference in the PMDG 777 since most simmers here have probably never flown a real Boeing 777. PMDG modeled the Fly-By- Wire according to information that was provided to them which turned out to be wrong. All flight models are an approximate of how an aircraft would respond in the air given different conditions. FSX basically uses lookup tables to figure out how an aircraft would fly.
  18. I suggest that you contact PMDG at support.precisionmanuals.com and submit a support ticket. They should be back with you and solve your issue as soon as they can.
  19. May I know what is FSUIPC used for exactly? It is not even used for AS2012 or ASN?
  20. Hello all, Am I required to buy FSUIPC in order for add-ons such as the PMDG 737NGX, PMDG 777, PMDG 747-400X, PMDG 737 Extension Pack and other add-ons such as Active Sky 2012 to work without any problems? As for my hardware, I usually just configure them through FSX by setting buttons to what I want them to do in FSX. Your replies are highly appreciated.
  21. Submit a ticket to the PMDG Support Center support.precisionmanuals.com and they will reply as soon as they can to help you figure out your problem.
  22. Same problem here, logged back into the ecommerce page and went to my last order which is in this case the 777 and no download link at the bottom of the page still.
  23. Me also, I paid for it and got an email from PMDG confirming that I ordered but didn't get an email with the download link from PMDG yet.
  24. Just ignore the Flight Management Comuter if it will distract you. If you are unable to fly a STAR to your airport, simply request radar vectors to the final approach to the airport. But first locate the airport by pressing the airport button on your EFIS in order to display the airports around you on the Navigation Display (ND).
