  1. Glad to see I'm not alone but too bad there isn't a fix. Need like a macro in the background that double taps the Q key every view change.
  2. Flying this bird lately. Is it suppose to be so anemic? Following the manual, suppose to climb at 35 vacuum and 2300 prop rpm at about 150 knots. Well heck at 3000 feet, the thing barely climbs at 100 vertical fpm rate trying to maintain that speed. Am I doing something wrong?
  3. My thoughts too. What about seasons and ATC? Let the aftermarket people worry about little animations like this.
  4. Wonder why is the party that bought the License holding back on the news? I would think they'd want the press and all the attention they can get.
  5. I tend to agree. I have the pogo with AP on at altitude issue and would like a patch for that. I'm not interested in the extra features really. They should put out a patch to fix actual bugs AND can also offer an payware update for the new features.
  6. Say a Constellation or DC-6. The pilots moved all the controls (throttle, yoke, cowl, rudder, etc). How? I mean were they simply moving hydraulic control valves then oil psi moved all the actual plane parts with rams? Where there actual cables used? I tried Google searching but come up pretty empty for any good pictures that show how old airliners worked or put together for flight control systems?
  7. Nope. Until we get a 9GHz cpu, have to cut back on bells and whistles for frame rate.
  8. Bought the Just Flight Sunderland Flying Boat and it has one of the worst sound packages I've heard. Has some odd loud 2 cyl low rpm sound in chase view when its cold and dark. Startup sounds massively rushed. Bring up the rpm and the volume changes very abruptly. Just really bad. Can anyone recommend some download somewhere better for this old bird?
  9. For example, I'll be in chase view and the engines are 9/10 loud, switch to cockpit view for a bit then go to chase again and the engine volume sounds about a 4/10. I toggle sound on/off with Q key and engines go back to the normal 9/10 loud again. Anyone else experience this or have a fix?
  10. More info. Now I find out that the compass magically appears once the aircraft has taken off. Now I think I'm good to go. Still need to edit the audio files' volume level so I can actually hear what the heck the robot is saying.
  11. Not really. Next problem, there is no flight plan and the mission compass/pointer does not turn on. How am I suppose to know where to go?
  12. It does end like a Mission. After further messing around, if I manually shut down the engines then reload the flight. I do barely hear the commentator sound. It is very quiet, talks fast and lamely synthesized. I was expecting more of an actual startup tutorial. This 'thing' just barks out 'welcome to the sunderland tutorial' 'prepare for takeoff roll' ' takeoff' immediately after loading the mission. I've now edited the SunderlandTutorial.flt file with False so the mission loads with engines off and I can actually hear something. Voice sound is set to max btw in menu options. LeftMagneto=False RightMagneto=False GeneratorSwitch=False
  13. Well I do have Acceleration installed so I don't think that is the issue.
  14. Bought this on the Memorial Day sale at Just Flight. Installs and runs fine but the missions do not work properly. Sound files are there, Mission loads ok but the script does not get activated properly. For example, the plane loads with the engines running, everything on in the startup procedured tutorial mission. And commentator does not speak at all. Anyone have a fix to this or experience this?
  15. Got an email about it "an update (239MB) to improve certain sound aspects of Traffic 360 is available to download from the Support section on the Just Flight website." Just an fyi for those that have purchased this program.
  16. http://www.justflight.com/product/747-200-300-hd-fsx Besided the high res outside skin pack, I can't figure out if there are any functional changes. Not even clear if the cockpit textures are improved? Anyone know more?
  17. This looks outstanding. Has it been released anywhere? http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/vitus-lockheed-l10a-electra.16226/
  18. Smartphones are a very powerful tool if you use it as one. Most don't. My Blackberry has organized my life and time in a very positive fashion. It is a pocket organizer x 100. Socially, I agree they are a bad thing. You can communicate much more with a smartphone but you aren't socializing.
  19. Yeah, I've found full screen mode in Win8 also unstable. Windowed mode has been rock solid so far though.
  20. So I hold space bar and the cursor changes to the cross hairs in the center of the screen. I try to move the view around using the trackpad but nothing happens. Is there something obvious I'm missing that is not allowing the trackpad to work like a mouse in FSX?
  21. Have you tried Windows Key + Up Arrow Key?

  23. Too much post processing in that video, so definitely not the best IMO.
