Neat. Would be very limited with where one could takeoff and land unless you live and work in the country. Wonder how fast it is? Much faster than a car at 75mph on the freeway?

EZdok not saving certain settings on exit
VeryBumpy replied to rufowler's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Yup, 64 bit win8. It does something weird. Mainly camera view change buttons don't work or they work but I get only 3rd person skeleton view of plane. -
DoveTail Games Buys Licensing Deal with Microsoft
VeryBumpy replied to calooom's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Happy with my current FSX setup. Don't care what Dovetail does. Except, my only concern is how my current DVD FSX activation will be handled; if and when I need to reinstall. -
FSPS Feature Suggestion: (if possible) Add a check box. Add an altitude inputbox next to the check box. With check box unchecked, Fiber would work at all times. With check box checked, Fiber would only work BELOW the user typed in altitude. Thought is to have Fiber only working when in demanding situation, on take off and approach. Usually too busy pushing cockpit buttons during these 2 time to look out the window anyway.

EZdok not saving certain settings on exit
VeryBumpy replied to rufowler's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
I'm running 1.17 and Window 8 on my laptop. Works fine 85% of the time. I reboot the laptop to once to make Ezdok work that 15%. -
I feel it is one of Froogles worst done videos. It's too long showing too little useful info. Kind of uncharacteristic of him to do so.

DoveTail Games Buys Licensing Deal with Microsoft
VeryBumpy replied to calooom's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Coincidence that Steve's DX10 Fixer was removed shortly before this FSX deal? Perhaps they are in discussions and will incorporate the DX10 Fixer into this new FSX Steam release. -
The thread is 21 pages long, how much dust do you want? Try for yourself with the generous demo.

Your issue is unclear, is it lag/stutters/hitching or simply low frame rate that you are concerned with?
-
Correct. Only thing I've seen Fiber change in my fsx.cfg is the target frame rate. And that was because I shut down FSX before Fiber. No biggie.

Qualitywings BAe 146 permanent discount
VeryBumpy replied to Tatave's topic in The Bargain Hunter's Shack
How does this compare to the Just Flight 146 I wonder? -
Your Closing is incorrect. You should close Fiber first, then close FSX. Otherwise, some settings in fsx.cfg will possibly be left changed from Fiber. Either way, one should backup their fsx.cfg so can revert back as needed.

Gonna copy and paste this from their support forum as some don't understand how this program works... Guys first of all this is not just a "I give you frames" application . You most, misunderstood some the basic concept. The application configured properly, tries to give you the best possible fps without sacrificing graphics. Set the Target frames inside FSX to something high i.e. 60 but not unlimited. Start Fiber at the scenario you want. Put a setting in fiber (into frames) If you put too high a setting yes you will get a quality drop (PC cannot follow the setting and is sacrificing everything to reach that) If you lower the setting to the point you see unlimited rarely or never, then this is the setting where you get the best possible frames matching the graphic quality you had set in FSX settings. (We switch to unlimited as a desperate measure. This alone would guide you that you had selected a too high of a setting for the current scenery ! ) If you see the Terrain power graph stays always at over 50% you can raise a bit the setting at Fiber. (It means your PC has more to give)

voodoo101, you can't normally run at ~19fps and expect to magically jump up to 40fps without reducing LOTS of detail. You should set Fiber to 24 or so instead.

Not sure if this is what you are after but might help. See av8tor98's post... http://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/content.php?14992-FSPS-FSX-Fiber-Accelerator-Released

Got demo. Ran only 2 sessions to test and see what it's all about. Went to PCAviator and purchased. This program works well. It isn't perfect though. If you are not wise with your max and desired frame rate settings, you will get blurries. Pro's definitely out weight the cons, however. In heavy areas of 11-15fps, I would get an increase of about 3-4fps. When frame rate is that low, a 4fps gain is a large improvement. Makes a big difference in approaches with those extra 3-4 fps more. $32 is a cheap upgrade for the low end frame rate gained. Well done FSPS, you should have well deserved $$$$ rolling in as word continues to spread.

The lighting effect on the ground is from the airplane model itself. Have to edit the model (which is impossible unless you have the creation file).

Try the demo.
