  1. Try logging out from the Library, clearing Firefox cookie cache and then try again.
  2. Hello, Which web browser are you using? Do you use any download manager/accelerator programs?
  3. This was a biproduct of the fix, sorry for that.
  4. I've just been notified about this error through another forum topic and we will investigate its cause.
  5. To be honest, this is the first time I come along this error, I'll inform our IT chaps about this.
  6. Hello, For some reason I missed this topic, sorry for that. Is this problem still active? We were having a number of changes at the Library over the last few weeks and that meant that certain Library fucntions were offline during certain times.
  7. Hello, After a long delay, I gladly announce that all the Prepar3D (P3D) categories are back online again. This means that any author/developer wishing to upload any file to the P3D categories can now do so. For authors who have already uploaded P3D files to other categories, if you would like to relocate your files to any P3D category please send us an email at 'library [at] avsim [dot] com' containing a list of files IDs (Upload ID and/or Download ID) along with the required target category. I'd like to sincerely thank Chase Kreznor and Brian Sperduto for solving this problem for us.
  8. You're welcome, the thanks really goes to our IT chaps
  9. Hello again, You should start receiving the emails again, there were some little problems and a bunch of old ones got sent yesterday but our IT chaps have fixed this. Please report if you started receiving them or not.
  10. Not yet, this is still on the list of things to be fixed but there are other things which are higher in priority right now.
  11. Hello, I haven't tried installing this but from what I understand they probably meant the "-890" folder. Also, the ZIP file has 2 readme files included, one of them contains the author's email address. The other readme file contains the group's Facebook page.
  12. Here I use FSX most of the time (~75%). But over the last year I've been getting increasingly involved in flying in DCS (~25%) especially after getting the Flaming Cliffs 3 module. However, I'm currently considering other platforms as I estimate that in 1-2 years FSX will be obsolete, for me at least. I'm seriously considering X-Plane as my next sim. Falcon 4 BMS is another one on my radar but I don't think I'll be getting it anytime soon as I'm still learning the basics of air-air combat in DCS.
  13. We've been discussing the improvement of different parts of the Library but nothing's confirmed yet. Regarding the A2A Cessna 172, try using searching for 'a2a c172', this way the keyword 'c172' plays a good part in defining the search results. Also, you may try searching for 'accusim c172'.
  14. Hello, The Library search engine is a bit old so it requires careful use of keywords to get the most appropriate results. From my experience a search sometimes yields zero results if the number of results is very large, this can happen if you use a keyword that is present is a very large number of files. This is not related to the number of characters in the keyword (which is another factor that also has an effect, check tip 2 below) but rather related to the keyword itself. For example, searching for '747-400' will yield zero results despite the presence of hundreds of files in the Library that have '747-400' in their title or description. To help you with your search, here are a number of tips: 1) Select an appropriate category for your search so as to limit the number of possible results. Also, this way you also get more relevant results. 2) For any given search, try to use at least one keyword with 4 or more characters. Using 3-character keywords only tend to also yield zero results. 3) Use a number of keywords per search, example: 'pmdg 747' instead of just '747'. 4) Try using the "Extended Search" function and try using a combos of keywords in different fields if possible (like using the author name field). P.S.: Based on the above, if you search for 'tds 737' you'll probably get zero results, while searching for 'tenkuu 737' will yield almost 600 results.
  15. As a temporary solution you may use the following links to access lists with the latest files added to the Library. It's not as good or as easy to use as the daily email but it should work just fine until the problem is fixed. http://library.avsim.net/whatsnew.php?From=&CatSort=0&ScanMode=1&Go=Change+View http://library.avsim.net/whatsnew.php?Sort=Name
  16. Well, on my end pages certainly load in a much "smoother" way.
  17. Hello, After a recent hardware change certain auto-generated emails (including the daily "New files" emails) have seized being sent out . We are currently investigating the cause of the problem and will try to fix it ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  18. Try disabling any download accelerators if you have any. Also, you might try to disable any security software you have, temporarily, and give it a go.
  19. Hello, We're currently having trouble with all of the auto-generated emails sent by the Library. So, for the meantime, please send an email containing your Library account login name and the email address used for account registration to 'library@avsim.net' and we will send you the password reset link. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  20. Although the Code 500 error indicates an internal server error, I suggest you do all the steps mentioned above and report if any works. Also, please email the Library 'library@avsim.com' with your Library account login name and email address used for account registration. Hopefully, by the time you email us at the Library we would have discovered the cause of the Code 500 error.
  21. I can think of two reasons for this: 1) An active firewall is blocking downloads from the Library. 2) Your ISP is blocking downloads from the Library. However these should prevent you the download from starting rather wait for it to reach 99% and block it. But just to make sure we have covered all possibilities: 1) Disable any active firewalls and antivirus suites you have temporarily. 2) Try downloading the files through IE or Firefox InPrivate mode. This is to make sure that no cache or cookie problems are affecting your downloads. Keep in mind that you'll be required to log into the Library again in this mode as the saved cookies will not be active.
