The Saab is amazing and is by far one of my top 3 aircraft to have in Xplane 10. You need to Know VOR to VOR nav as there is not a FMC. Now that being said, they do include a written tutorial on VOR to VOR nav that you fly along with. Real nice. The Docs are out of this world. Cameron, Your right, It was not meant to be offensive. But It is my opinion and I stand by it. But it is pretty clear in here that losses were not cut or this thread would not be happening. In the end I would still Buy all y'all a Beer.

Let me expand on my above post. We have a group of very talented Developers in here. Each one has brought to X-Plane something/things that have greatly improved X-Plane 10. Without each Developer in this tread, X-Plane would not be where it is at this moment in time. However It makes me sad that these individuals can not get along because of things that have happened years ago. Jack - The best Classic airliner GoranM - The Best Turbo Prop Commuter John - SkyMaxxPro and UrbanMaxx v2 3D However the Line is split by the website they sell on and some users will never be able to enjoy all 5 above because of their own reasons due to the issues aired out in this thread. You guys really need to take a step back and take look at yourselves. Life is way, way, Way, to short to hold grudges. From an outsider looking in and a customer this does not look good.

Yeah as a customer of all the devs chiming In, I am also concerned in the direction this is going. We all just need to get along whether you are at the .org or x-pilot. Can we just get along.

That happened because my Love for SkyMaxxPro was passing through my yoke. :biggrin: But what really happened was, I killed the weather engine in x-plane it self. I also did not have the settings tweaked right. I have since found a perfect balance when I was flying of stream sunday morning and am very happy with the results now. I have saw people making suggestions to put noaa weather to use METAR below 11,000 feet, however it ends up showing clouds at 11K with flat tops. Kinda funny looking. Anyway I found that changing it to 6k provided better results. This was a shot from yesterdays weather in Lafayette, La. Spot on to real life. And Eye candy.....

If you are in a modern airliner, you are already flying in pilot-less aircraft (the pilots are over seers). A computer flies the plane from Take off to landing and don't think for a moment anything in that cockpit can't be made to be remotely operated. FAA requires a crew, until that changes, you will have a pilot and crew on board. PS: Drones / UAV's /RPV's do not need to go away. They do have their uses.

The people who own the source code (LM), have already said it would be nearly impossible to re-code the FSX engine to 64 bit. Look how long it took them to add in DX11 and CPU multi threading, now imagine having to re-write the entire engine. When and if they do go to 64 bit, it will no long be on the P3D/FSX as you know it. On top of that all your add-ons will no longer work, you will be at square one.

I would say the Saab and the FlyJsim 727 meets or exceeds PMDG Quality. Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to sell x-plane 10 to anyone. I feel you should fly what makes you happy. All I was doing is to show what X-plane is capable of instead of people judging the sim by what they have heard or by the demo. What I enjoy is taking amazing screen shots and Videos of all three sims (FSX, P3D, Xplane 10). I offer eye candy from both sides :biggrin: P3D X-plane 10

Right, But it is not native in FSX was the point. =) Show me an airport in Kansas that is cover in snow for the whole winter............... We can keep going if you like. The point is I have been a MSFS fan since the late 80's, and I have Owned X-plane since V8. Xplane has been crap up until X-plane 10. So say what you would like about it, but you will one day find you self all lone at the snowy Kansas airport in FSX.

I have to disagree with you. You need Money to make FSX look good. You don't need money to make X-plane 10 look good. Everything in the below screenshot, except the 757, is a free add-on. I agree about the tires, however some add-on craft take care of that issue. X-plane 10 No-FS2Crew (not sure what or why I need this) Yes- TrackIR No- Ezdock (why would you need something already built in the Flightsim?) Yes - FSUIPC (google XFSUIPC) What is LINDA? And don't hold your breath about the P3Dv2. I have messed about in the beta, and it looks like P3D with better menus. (ps: Most of my FSX Add-ons don't work)

I am going to do this flight again tonight from Cold and dark. I ran through start up this morning (before work) and I have managed to get quicker at it and I sort of have it down. We are going to try the To/Go as Fight Factor wrote,by using the hidden button. And if that does not work we will explore different options with the EPR button. Oh, Last night there was a heated debate about TO/GO in the chat. They did not add the TO/GO button because of the 3d cockpit??? However this is the solution, and it is not the ERP button! From Philipp at the org EDIT: And pressing EPR is not the correct way to initiate TO/GA! On the real plane, there are two buttons on the thrust levers to activate To/GA. As this would be impossible to click in the 3d cockpit, we provide you with two alternative ways: 1. Assign the custom command: 1-sim/comm/AP/at_toga to a key combination or joystick button of your liking 2. Click the hidden clickspot on the MCP: The bottom left screw.

Are you talking about high altitude blurriness? If so, Ben said in the Dev blog they are working on that for 10.30. Ill be the first one in line for some kind of fix for that. :Praying:

Forget about ATC, its bad bad. But xsquawkbox 64 bit is in beta. So far I have had no issues with the Nav data, however it can update it free. Google search nav data update xplane 10. So far all the real work VOR's and ILS freqs have been spot on. I use a real world nav planner for my flights with no issues. http://www.navplan.com/
