  1. There are some great pics of the night shots in this thread on page 9. One with a full moon setting where the sky is lighter and another that is pitch black. Much nicer I think. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/427001-how-is-it/page-9
  2. I have been flying sims since FS2K and it is always the same when a new sim comes out there is always a huge debate but the nay-sayers usually come to the dark side when the new platform gains momentum. Purchased the sim last night and I have really enjoyed it. I have been tinkering with the settings all day and really impressed the ease of use for changing the settings. Before I ran the P3D last night I remembered back when FSX first came out just to humble myself and I can honestly say LM has really delivered on this /sim. Right out of the box the sim flies incredibly smooth and the graphics are very appealing nothing like FSX on the first day. I later installed FTXG as ORBX offered a free update for previous FSX customers and the scenery was amazing. I left the frames unlocked and was getting around 45 - 60 FPS in very dense scenery. I am really excited for the potential of this sim and think within the year this P3D will be a beast of a sim. As far as the add-ons and developers, that is what I am really looking forward to. I wouldn't worry about PMDG and others that are holding off right now. Just like the nay-sayers they will go where the consumers go and money and that will be with P3D in my honest opinion.
  3. I just requested a refund on that order and purchased again making sure it was V2. I am not patient.
  4. Sometimes the early bird doesn't get the worm. Looks like now I have to apply for a refund for the glitch. Must of purchased the V2 before they had the files in order.
  5. I purchased the version 2 but when I went to download it said it was version 1.4, what a bummer.
  6. On the P3D release announcement they state the recommended OS is 64 bit http://www.prepar3d.com/news/2013/11/4648/ Is that what you all are talking about?
  7. Biggest disappointment to me in the past 10 years of flightsimming is the online multiplayer connection and the never ending software needed to have a successful connection. How does V2 handle online multiplayer flights in regards to connection with VATSIM and ICAO as well as IP direct connect flights?
  8. I thought there was some news being released by LM today on the version 2. Anyone heard anything because eventually I am going to have to pee?
  9. I am looking forward to the release myself. It looks like a lot of the big Flight Sim Bubbas are already working with LM to incorporate a smooth transition but I am sure there will be some add-ons that will take awhile to get on P3D.
  10. Really looking forward to the release of this V2. Tired of buying high-end computers that can wash your dishes and re-map satellite navigation but can't run FSX properly. Really glad LM has picked up the ball and ran with this.
