  1. A2A will have accu-simed C172 and Cherokee out this year.
  2. Don't see the point in this when Eaglesoft already has a superbly modeled (including systems!) SR22T, and the model and VC aren't exactly ugly.
  3. A2A does even better than RealAIr imo. A2A has the only totally convincing stall/spin characteristics I've ever seen in FSX (RealAir is close, but the power-on stalls feel a bit "canned"), and A2A is also the only one that models propwash over the tail - in the A2A cup you can lift the tail at a dead stop, with only partial throttle and just a bit of down elevator - just like the real thing.
  4. I've always thought Carenado is hugely overrated. Oh, sure, they're pretty, but they're really no better than the default aircraft in terms of systems and flight modeling.
  5. Just to be clear, I meant 4GB free, e.g. with ActiveSky, Vatsim, and whatever else you have already running.
  6. FSX is a 32bit application. There is NO benefit from having more than 4GB of free RAM (Not counting that used by the OS or anything else you have running).
  7. I was thinking about this the other day - how unrealistic would it be to do paints of every aircraft? There are only 55-ish -LR's flying.
  8. Unless the money is really burning a hole in your pocket, I'd say wait another month or so and get the PMDG 777.
  9. I wonder what operating costs of something like that would be. With some basic back-of-the-envelope math, it looks like the fuel alone wiould be ~$20k/per flight hour.
  10. Right now I give it about a 7/10, Value is very good, considering it basically has the equivilant of FS2Crew bundled. Nice livery selection. Novelty factor is certainly there, since the is the first decent Airbus for FSX that actually models the....airbusness. The bad: Not too easy on the frames FMC is a bit painful to use (Tab entry on the NGX has spoiled me...plus some FMC screens are a bit laggy) Occasional autopilot issues The VC is only "ok". The parts that you interact with most are solid, but many of the other areas are quite blurry and not modeled in 3d at all (Things like the circuit breaker panels) Only really models normal operations...no real scope for failure simulation. Doesn't cope with time acceleration higher than 2x at all Essentially - at the price point I'd say it's worth picking up, but I'd view it as more transition training for when the FSL Airbus finally gets released.
  11. Perhaps worth noting that all of the high-end payware X-plane aircraft are VC-only, so in most cases there really _aren't_ any gauges to display on a 2nd monitor.
