British Airways 77L Livery for initial release

Featured Replies

Title says what I'd like to request. Yes BA do not have LR's, but they have 200/ER's with GE90's - so unless you want to get technical, the only differences will be Raked Wingtips and larger engines.

I understood you made one for the NGX too. Many of us would greatly appreciate a high quality one on release since there's a ton of Speedbirds eager to get airborne from day one!

Thank you, and Merry Christmas everyone! :-)

PMDG has MD-11 liveries for BA and Lufthansa (Lufthansa Cargo not mainline). Though the MD-11 wasn't exactly popular so I guess they had to come up with fictional liveries.

If they go the same way that they did with the NGX and only releasing (to my knowledge) actual NG customer liveries, then I'm sure someone will repaint a BA 77L livery.

I think they only did that as a tip of the hat to BA Virtual.

No BA livery for you Luke until the correct airplane is modelled by PMDG. PMDG do not cheat. :P

I was thinking about this the other day - how unrealistic would it be to do paints of every aircraft? There are only 55-ish -LR's flying.

Not sure it will help sales but knowing there are 1250 BAV pilots itching to get there hands on the T7, probably not a bad idea to get the fiction paint done. Regardless, it will be painted by someone rather quickly I would imagine.

Yeah the LR is pretty limited if you want to keep it realistic - some may just have to stretch ha!

I bet the team are going to have fun painting the 300ER & 200/ER paints since there's loads!

Merry Christmas! :drinks:

Relax if PMDG don't do it, I'm sure someone else will come along and do it in no time.

Some of us that provided livery paints for the NGX will definitely be purchasing the 777 and painting that new bird as well. I did some retro BA liveries on the NGX and am looking forward to what the paintkit looks like on the 777. Happy Holidays!

Except for the assorted MD-11 liveries ported from DC-10s...UA, HA, NW, etc.

And...again...still hoping for a -200 and -200ER, not just the -200LR.

Check out my repaints and downloads, all right here on AVSIM

Clever marketing by PMDG. I imagine the majority of people will be wanting to fly the 200ER and 300ER as these make up the majority of the 777s out there. And I'm assuming it will be mandatory to purchase the 200LR as a base package then the 200ER and 300ER on top of that.

I'm suprised they didn't release the BBJ before the NGX -800/-700!
