    I went straight into the PMDG 737 using their excellent tutorials and got flying right away.

    I noticed the real 777 MCP does not have a CMD button only a AP button? Will this affect the operation of a 747 MCP hardware?

    I am based in England so it would be nice to get some scenery for it. I already have UK2000 EGKK and EGLL. Which one gives the best detail for London?

    Thanks for the great tips I really appreciate it Usually I try to get full flaps and gear down before I hit the ILS glideslope.

    I had a demo of VFR and wasnt really impressed with it. The photoreal looked very flat.

    Thanks. The ATC I use (proatcx) doesnt assign speeds. I guess on the downwind leg I should at least start to reduce speeds and extend flaps?

    I've been reading and watching various tutorials. In each they put flaps down and gear down at different distances from the airport. I guess I just have to get experience and make an educated guess as there is no "correct" time to put down gear and flaps? Another question, people seem to manually manage the speed on approach. This is different from the 737 which follows the FMC and you only set the speed once APP has been armed.

    i think i did a semi-autoland once. From what i can member the PD was saying SINGLE CH instead of LAND3. About 50ft from the runway the AP cutoff and I manually did the flare and braking.

    You could get the correct AIRAC by downloading Navigraph. But i dont think you can physically change the runway heading unless you get airport scenery.

    How many of you simmers fly with another simmer as a co-pilot? Can this even be done?

    I have Imaginesims KIAD and its performance is good enough.

    Does the VRInsight MCP work with both the 747-400 and 737NGX?

    Ill change mine to that! ATM i use SHIFT+F2 for the left and SHIFT+F3 for the right doors.

    yep ive practiced many landings with the PMDG.

    Ive read that the realair is quite hard to land as its a slippery aircraft. But I'm sure its worth learning!

    How does this Realair compare with Carenado SR22?

    I have the same issue. My step size is ICAO and OPT is FL 354.
