  1. I experienced something like this recently. The up/down arrow started blinking as I hovered over the button and I wasn't able to push or pull. I found by clicking repeatedly, I was eventually able execute the action. It's been an intermittent problem, not occurring in every flight and has nothing to do with a conflicting addon.
  2. This is good advice. I've heard that if you try to 'muscle' through it when just starting out, you can actually train your brain to start feeling nausea as soon as you put on the headset. Approach it slowly, fly easy and take breaks.
  3. One aspect of IFR in VR that could be more problematic than 'typical' VFR is the amount of glass instrumentation. Legibility is not the best for these gauges and VR glasses in the midrange are on the edge. None the less, its well worth it IMHO. As for headsets, I'd love to recommend a Pico 4, but it lacks a Display Port interface which places the additional burden of encoding the video stream onto your GPU. I have a 4090 and I'm really pleased with my Pico.
  4. Yes, the 4090 is large.. I have one also. Every build is different and it's the case that governs the layout, but in my situation, the 240 wouldn't have fit anywhere that I couldn't also fit a 360. I have a Arctic Liquid II 360 and it's cheap and does a fantastic job at keeping the 13900k cool and runs so quiet!
  5. Having a small issue here... maybe someone knows what's going on. When I hover over a control to push or pull, the cursor (now an arrow) is flashing and it's taking several tries to activate it. This is with the latest '200' release.
  6. Please explain this to me. I don't recall seeing any qualifications on the expected performance improvements in the announcement.
  7. Measured 3 critical fps performance points before and after updating. Essentially no difference (+/-1 fps).
  8. "Newer Intel chips, like 12th Gen Alder Lake, 13th Gen Raptor Lake, and Sapphire Rapids server chips aren't affected." Whew! 😅
  9. Not many FSX users around these days. If I had to guess, just based on best single core performance: 13900ks. Hopefully an expert may weigh in with the real answer.
  10. I just tried this and if told me the graphics card in my 13900k/4090 system was too weak for the task and I should upgrade it. Yikes! 🥺
  11. Sadly, no more SSW purchases for me. My F-104G and TF-104G no longer work properly in MSFS and support has been dismal.
  12. Have you run some of the basic benchmarks to confirm your new PC is running at its potential and not being hobbled by something basic like a bus or I/O problem? Or are your issues just with MSFS?
  13. If it was limited by vsync somewhere, he wouldn't be seeing main thread limited, it would be green. Look elsewhere.
  14. @jcomm well that pretty much covers it! 👍
  15. In my recent Fenix A320 flights, I've noticed in situations where I've elected to start my flight on the runway in a relay for takeoff panel state, I'm showing an error message 'FUEL AUTO FEED FAULT', along with a Fault light on the Fuel Mode select button and a master caution. Not sure what the issue is or how to correct it. Anyone?
  16. There are HUD power controls on the left side of the center console that need to be turned on... see the pics earlier in this thread.
