  1. I'm not an expert but this looks exactly like what prevented me from flying an actual route with the 777, even without SP1. Your rig just seems to not be able to handle such high sim rates anymore... Guess because the beast got too complex for your PC with SP1... Try disabling any winds and try to fly a long direct between SID and STAR. If the problem insists, I am mistaken. But this looks exactly what I've experienced with a weak system :(
  2. I guess practice is what you need. When I began to practice manuel landings, it happend to me almost the same. Either to high or to low, but none was good... But having made almost 100 manual landings with this beast I can say that all you need is practice, practice and practice. Try to keep the plane on the G/S, but don't chase it. You shouldn't worry about making "bigger" inputs either. Don't play to much with the trim during approach. Set a proper trim setting when you take control of the aircraft and give further inputs by pulling/pushing the yoke (in case you are at landing flaps, otherwise you have to trim a little). Try having a descent rate of about 750-850ft/min and try to maintain it. Having a look at the descent rate rather than chasing the flight director makes the approach often easier... My last tip for you is to take control of the aircraft earlier than 1000ft AGL. You have way more time to set up your aircraft properly and get confident with the actual handling. I usually disconnect the autopilot just after gear extraction, let's say at 2000ft AGL which gives me twice as many time as you to nail this beast on the runway ;-)
  3. Could somebody paint this scheme onto the PMDG 777LR? Would be awesome!

Funny because I experienced exactly the same today when I accidently engaged thrust reversal while taxiing. From my point of view, it seems to be normal as I use "F2" to engage thrust reversers.
  5. Yeah, good idea. I just did it. But thanks so far for your effort
  6. I did the return flight today and had the same problem again. Unlike my flight from OMDB to CYYZ, the aircraft flawlessly climbed to cruising altitude but the FMC changed to 'des mod' while trying to perform an auto step climb. I say 'trying' because the MCP Alt didn't change automatically so that the plane didn't climb at all. That's why I assume it's an 'auto time compression' related problem...
  7. Yeah, my route is properly set up. No discontinuities or other interruptions. Although I have to admit that I'm not flying a whole route. Just direct from SID to STAR. But as this doesn't occure in my NGX it shouldn't be the problem...
  8. Hey guys, First of all, I do not know whether this issue has already been adressed or not (at least I have not found anything in the bug thread). So please do not rail against me if I am too stupid to find it ;-) For some reason, my 777 FMC occsionally shows some very strange behaviour. It changes from 'climb mode' to 'des mode' before reaching the T/C. In this case, the aircraft levels off and holds the current altitude. This happend to me on a flight from OMDB to CYYZ again today. But this time, I noticed that there was a T/D displayed about 50nm before my T/C on the screen on the right of the PFD (guess it's the MFD but not sure). Once I passed the wrong T/D, the beast changed to 'des mod' and leveled off... Has anybody experienced anything like that?
  9. Hey guys, I'm having a question regarding the service based failures in the 777. Fortunately, we can set up a multiplier so that our planes should get failures sooner. However, if I set it to let's say 4, I need 4 hours of flying time to decrease my "next service in"-countdown by 1 (starting from 62h with a new airplane). That makes no sense to me as it makes nonsense of the multiplier... Can anyone clarify this for me? Furthermore, it seems to me that the 777LR and the 777F each have only one countdown no matter what livery you fly. Is this correct as it would be different from the NGX where every livery has its own countdown? Thanks in advance!
  10. Okay, nice to know. But my question isn't about the new time compression feature. Just the general behavior at x16. E.g. you climb to FL350 and speed up using "r" and "+" like it was done before they included the new time compression. No route entered, just one heading you constantly fly. Does the T7 maintain FL350 correctly or does it start to go up and down like the NGX does?
  11. Hey guys, I know some of you purists might wish to kill me for this question but I'd like to know how the 777 does at x16 time lapse? I currently fly the 737NGX and use x8 time compression for cruise (I don't fly a route, just direkt from STAR to SID). So how is the general behavior of this beauty at x16 time compression? Is it stable or has it problems to maintain the flight level like the NGX? Thanks!

  13. ATC parking codes don't work for the user's aircraft. ATC will assign you a parking spot thats next in the list no matter what parking code you entered. It's sad but true. The only way to get a proper gate is changing the order of the gates in the airport file (there's a list which contains all gates and ATC will always assign you the next available gate). However, parking codes do work for AI aircrafts...
  14. AFAIK you overwrite the auto braking by applying manual braking at 80 knots. The switch will remain in its position but autobrakes will disengange as soon as you hit the braking button 2 or 3 times. (That's how I learned it in the tutorials)
