  1. Anyone figured out how to assign the carb heat? I can't find it in the assignments.
  2. What textures are you using for runways? They look amazing.
  3. Okay, I see. I don't have the bezels turned on, and when I do the gap is the same. Thanks for your help.
  4. 1/16" of an inch? I would say it's about 1/4" of an inch for me which leaves a huge gap between the bezel and the gauge.
  5. I downloaded the demo and used the default gauges. Thanks for the replay. Is it possible to rotate the gauges?
  6. I am trying to set a few of my gauges near the very top of the screen, however, its not possible to put them there cause they snap back down about half inch. Any way around this?
  7. Oh right, you mentioned it in your original post...sorry about that! It is indeed very immersive! However, I feel if you fly above 3000-4000 feet then everything but the cockpit are too blurry.
  8. Does this add support for the Oculus Rift DK2?
  9. In the Aerosoft San Francisco folder, there are .bgl files with extreme in the name. Delete those or renaming them will turn them off and should help with frame rates a lot. I've read on the Aerosoft forums that these include experimental settings that weren't meant to be used.
  10. Looks really good. So you're saying the Orbx PNW region only improves the Seattle area? I was under the impression the full Orbx regions significantly improved the mesh area thus not needing any additional add-on mesh. I asked this question in their forums and that is the response I received. http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/81958-if-i-have-ftx-region-pnw-do-i-need-fs-global-2010-ftx-mesh/
  11. Looks very nice. Does FS Global Ultimate increase the look of the mesh in the PNW Orbx or is it about the same? I thought the PNW Orbx scenery already included a good mesh.
  12. Yes, I just converted the Aerosoft sceneries that I had with FSX with the FS2XPlane tool. It works really well, not sure if more people do not know about this or not. Oh I had to clean up a few trees with the Overlay editor as well, cause there were trees spawning inside the stadiums. Other than that I didn't have to do any editing. Although I may go back into the San Francisco scenery and have to edit some building because it seemed like there were some autogen buildings in there intersecting the Aerosoft scenery buildings. You can see it in the 7th and 8th photos, the white tall buildings are intersecting with some of the other buildings. Some of the stuff I tried in the overlay editor didn't work.
  13. In these screenshots you see the Photo Sceneries from Sim Heaven and converted FSX Aerosoft sceneries New York and San Francisco. I also downloaded a La Guardia Airport for FSX and converted it as well. For the Portland one I used the freeware Portland from Orbx and converted it to XP as well using FSX2Xplane tool. I also did the art controls changes as well.
  14. Okay, I'll use the drawcall minimizer in mcx. I did notice that they had a huge poly count, maybe I won't use those. Thanks for the heads up.
  15. Thanks for everyone's input. I got ADE, Sketchup, and the demo version of ISD3 this seems like a good combination. What I am planning on doing is downloading the building already created in Google's 3D warehouse then importing into Sketchup, then exporting to modelconverterX. Then converting the textures, then exporting the model to bgl or mdl. I'm not sure where to go from here, but I'll keep reading and watching tutorials.
  16. Thanks for the info. Do you use Instant Scenery 3 to place your .mdl files converted from modelconverterx?
  17. Hi, I am wanting to get into FSX scenery design to add to my existing MSE 2.0 photo scenery. I want to create buildings, trees, and all other objects to place directly on top of the photo scenery. I am looking to use ADE, ISE3, and Instant Object Maker, are these good tools to use together? What would be a good scenery design work flow?
  18. I agree with your original statement, it just looks silly having fake roads running through houses and building etc.. But take a look at Orbx's FTX Global Iceland Demo. https://www.fullterrain.com/product_ftxgiceland.html This is where we are headed in the near future, once Orbx releases the Europe and USA Landclass stuff. Should be a few more months or so.
  19. That doesn't make any sense as they are two different programs. Orbx should make their product compatible with Prepar3d.
  20. Hi all, sorry for not adding any info. Here it is: The pics are a mixture of Orbx PNW and Alaska with FTX Global and Vector. I have REX4 Texture Direct, ASN for weather, SweetFX, Shade, and DX10 fixer. Oh and I'm using the A2A C172. The airport is Orbx KPAEN in the first few pictures. The first 6 pics are of Orbx Alaska and the rest are of Orbx PNW. I did a fresh install of FSX then did all the adjustments that past couple of days. Well worth it in my opinion, especially the DX10 fixer, it increased my fps by at least 8-10 across the board. Thanks for the comments!
