When you put in the new 1070, did you remember to connect the auxiliary power connector(s) on the GPU? It's easy to forget, and if you don't, the GPU can draw enough excessive current from the PCIe card slot to crash the PC. Regards Will check once I'm home, thanks guys, :). HI all I just did a reinstall of my p3d, after I got my new 1070. I did some tests flights, had vas problems, old drivers, and now, beautiful. More tests flights, keeping the installed add ons to an all time low.. However, sometimes, on.. for me yet random moments, my pc completely shuts down. Not nicely with an bsod which I could use, but just BAM. I'm looking for troubleshooting tips? Seeing as a log fil won't be created, which values..data or w/e do I have to keep an eye on? vkr victor

How do you actually disable as much as possible from vector? I really want the good coast and river lines and a few roads (do they actually consume that much vas?:O). especially in the watery country of the Netherlands ;).Or can you do that via the config?

I'm wondering, guys, who uses FTX Vector here? I read vas amount around the 2,9 / 3/ however I ALWAYS start around the 3,4 even in the ngx.. IS Vector that huge? vkr victor

Ahh, that is why!!, I noticed as well, ftx global, tutorial 747 flight, nothing else. and started with 3,4 vas and went up onto 3,7 then I thought this is impossibru... Is there a way to revert back to older drivers?

Task manager def, no .exe and 2 there is usually nu exe behind a program

How are lights compared to ftx? Can I also just install the light for example I wonder? :o

HI all I just got a new 1070 card, and trying out and playing with some settings, that used to be unreachable due to my sweet 760 (still love you ) One fo them is clouds, it is so nice to actually maintain 30 fps in full overcast instead of 12, haha. But view distance of clouds always bothered me, a hard line of where clouds stop.. So, what do you guys recommend, using AS16, ASCA, quite low res (512)(VAS and hey, fps still!) what are good settings? I see different recommendations (Robs e.g. live cockpit etc) How far can we go? Are clouds more gpu or CPU? vkr Victor

What do you guys think of teh ENVTEX clouds compared to the ASCA one, I kinda wanna buy envtex, but to do that only for the sky is a bit too much, haha Seeing as ASCA has ~400 cloud textures, does envtex provide the same variety? Or how does it work together?

Did you really downlaod all the tiles individually? By clicking on the map? :O
