  1. You need to make your question more clear as far as the specific aircraft you're talking about. What 737 and what A320? As for the lights it's generally something like this: NAV lights: On when the aircraft is powered. Beacon: On whenever the engines are running. Strobes: On when entering an active runway, off when exiting. Taxi: On for taxi (duh), usually turned off after takeoff. Landing lights: On when entering active runway, off crossing 10k feet. On when coming back down through 10k and off when exiting runway. Logo: Usually on during night ops below 10k feet. Wing lights: Same as logo. Depends though.
  2. Wow these threads are moving incredibly quickly. Almost 100 replies and it's not even 24 hours old.
  3. I think that was badly worded. Temps can of course kill a CPU but not like too much voltage. If the CPU hit's it's max temp it will throttle, sustaining high temps will eventually degrade a chip and possibly kill it but that is not what too much voltage will do. Over voltage will kill a CPU outright without much warning. So basically; high temps= slow degradation that will kill over time. Too much voltage= basically insta-death.
  4. X-Plane 11 Compatible*. I really don't understand why they didn't just wait for it to go final.
  5. SMP does the same (or similar) thing. Their clouds are still 2D but with added together to create 3D illusion.
  6. It all depends on your settings. I run a single 1080p monitor with a 980Ti and consistently have more than 5GB of VRAM used up in XP10,
  7. For sure. You could spend a ton of time making every ortho perfect, color corrected etc. But for me as long as the definition is good and there are no clouds it's fine for my uses.
  8. I have had good results with ZL15 and even ZL14 over areas you will only be overflying in airliners. Looks great from up there. Check the link. http://imgur.com/a/KEmc2
  9. 7700K hands down, the 6950K is only "worth it" in vary particularly use cases.
  10. Are you serious? A Core 2 Duo! And you're complaining about bad performance? This is a modern flight sim not something that's been stagnant for a decade. Also it's a beta.
  11. This is without a doubt the best in sim screenshot I have ever seen , in any sim. Did you touch this up at all? What ZL are those orthos? SkyMaxx can only dream of this. Well I think this does it, I'm getting XE this next week. Post it in the subreddit!
  12. Considering FSX still makes up the vast majority of users it's a perfectly valid comparison.
  13. Yeah Carey is awesome, here is a more recent one that might be more relevant:
  14. DRM can be a hassle sure but how else do you propose developers protect themselves against piracy? Me neither but we are in the minority. I just remembered I submitted a Reset also awhile ago, but forgot so I tried again yesterday but have not seen anything today. Normally never had any issues, maybe a clog in their system as I've dealt with them for years and always have had good service.
  15. Turning hyperthreading on or off in the BIOS will change your system ID.
  16. Keep dreaming Felipe Vicini Honestly if all of you want 757/767 so bad it's not a bad idea to look at XP.
  17. It's incredibly easy! Here are some videos to get you started: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZUYymbCH1w https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIF43-0mDk4&t=3s
  18. You can update the IXEG through the sim itself using Gizmo.
  19. Take these results with a grain of salt. Until we start getting numbers from consumer samples these numbers are pretty meaningless.
  20. 5GHz on air is not that crazy. My 4790K is at 4.9 on a NH-D15. That said, this is a pointless upgrade for anyone on Haswell and newer.
  21. That's an XP "feature". There is a blank texture that can be downloaded from the org to replace it.
