  1. I have a mechanical keyboard for years and I am able to use the combination ShiftE+n with most addons as long as there is no high rate event (had this problem also with a "noisy" throttle lever) Gérard
  2. I saw one near PAHO This info is captured by my (personnal) "print screen" addon.... 🙂 Did you got the "A.I. Ship locator for Global_AI_Ship_Traffic_V2". You will get more answer.... like this one Heavy lift ship Blue Marlin with Ocean Pioneer platform
  3. I wonder if we got your lattest build. The doors issue is typical of event flooding. I trust your lattest report were most of them are fixed, but that's not what we see... Is there a way we could check ? Gérard
  4. To help you read (and latter configure your TQ), this what you will find in the "PMDG_747QOTSII_Throttle.json" profile at Aerosoft The idea is (for Engine 1 of a 4 engine jet) 1 - when rising the small reverser lever = PressEvent Button 8 - set a variable (INT:REV_0) to true : the reverse is on - set "K:AXIS_THROTTLE_REVERSER1_SET" to -14000 = idle reverse 2 - when closing the small reverse lever = ReleaseEvent Button 8 - reset (INT:REV_0) to false - K:THROTTLE1_CUT 3 - when moving the throttle lever further down when in reverse mode (INT:REV_0 true) = PressEvent Button 25 - set "K:AXIS_THROTTLE_REVERSER1_SET" to 16383 = max reverse I have added this 4th action to allow to return to Reverse idle (not in the original profile) 4 - going back to idle when in reverse mode (INT:REV_0 true) = ReleaseEvent Button 25 - set "K:AXIS_THROTTLE_REVERSER1_SET" to -14000 = idle reverse I am not sure that sending you a customized profile is the right approach. It is tailored for a vintage freeware 4 engines TurboProp and cannot be reused as such. Gérard
  5. I should try to update the section EXIT in aircraft.cfg Only two exits are define. Should be : [exits] number_of_exits = 4 exit_rate.0 = 0.3 //Percent per second exit_rate.1 = 0.3 //Percent per second exit_rate.2 = 0.3 //Percent per second exit_rate.3 = 0.3 //Percent per second Take a look here for what to expect 🙂 https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/591694-interim-patch-available/?do=findComment&comment=4442105 Gérard
  6. So - uninstalled - reboot - reload from Pilot's Site - standard install only mod = adding dsd_p3d_event_logger_x64.dll gauge to panel 1 (= shift 2) just after loading = same 60000 events the first minute starting the engine 3 last (to be able to finish the engine strt up) ready to take off 45000 per mn 😞 Gérard Note : I am starting from a seabase, nevertheless I have the "tractor" in the water. Desappears after startup (don't checked exactly when)
  7. Will uninstall and reinstall to cross check... edit : Reloading from Pilot'S site to be sure... Gérard
  8. Dai, I really know that events are here to be used when necessary 😉 But useless one lead to the shft-e n issue for doors (and I don't see any KEY for all doors) Issue with the Start Up from VC : after making several start up sequence, in various order, seams that after starting engine n°3, it becomes impossible to start any other engine, the booster staying up and the remaining of the procedure not possible. - maybe cut & paste issue here also 😉 Gérard
  9. Hi Dai, I wonder if we got the intended "Boeing B314.dll", because I don't see any improvement on event flooding 😞 I use the Doug Dawson's "dsd_p3d_event_logger_x64.dll" (and not FSUIPC) and I see 500 events per second as soon as the aircarft is loaded ! The following sequence is repeated at high frequency (time is in seconds), hence no chance to ever open any of the non main doors. Time=1658.327417; id=391; event_in=MAGNETO1_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327444; id=397; event_in=MAGNETO2_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327452; id=403; event_in=MAGNETO3_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327458; id=409; event_in=MAGNETO4_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327465; id=426; event_in=FUEL_SELECTOR_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327473; id=987; event_in=FUEL_SELECTOR_2_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327503; id=1032; event_in=FUEL_SELECTOR_3_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327513; id=1040; event_in=FUEL_SELECTOR_4_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327519; id=426; event_in=FUEL_SELECTOR_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327526; id=987; event_in=FUEL_SELECTOR_2_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327532; id=1032; event_in=FUEL_SELECTOR_3_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327542; id=1040; event_in=FUEL_SELECTOR_4_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327553; id=300; event_in=RADIO_ADF_IDENT_DISABLE; evdata=0 Time=1658.327560; id=1021; event_in=RADIO_ADF2_IDENT_DISABLE; evdata=0 Time=1658.327568; id=279; event_in=AP_HDG_HOLD_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327575; id=278; event_in=AP_APR_HOLD_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327585; id=277; event_in=AP_LOC_HOLD_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327592; id=580; event_in=AP_PANEL_VS_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327599; id=280; event_in=AP_ALT_HOLD_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327606; id=558; event_in=AP_AIRSPEED_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327612; id=276; event_in=AP_ATT_HOLD_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327622; id=574; event_in=AP_PANEL_MACH_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327628; id=281; event_in=AP_WING_LEVELER_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327635; id=568; event_in=AP_PANEL_ALTITUDE_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327643; id=250; event_in=SPOILERS_SET; evdata=0 Time=1658.327649; id=521; event_in=PANEL_LIGHTS_OFF; evdata=0 Time=1658.327658; id=520; event_in=PANEL_LIGHTS_ON; evdata=0 Time=1658.327665; id=520; event_in=PANEL_LIGHTS_ON; evdata=0 new sequence 0.067 seconds after Time=1658.394345; id=391; event_in=MAGNETO1_OFF; evdata=0 I am also very sorry to say that the Tooltip added are not very helpful. For example <TooltipText>Elevator Trim</TooltipText> is not giving any usefull information. What we would need is the actual position in degrees in order to set it up for takeoff. <TooltipID>TOOLTIPTEXT_PITCH_TRIM</TooltipID> which translate to "Elevator (Pitch)Trim && Position Indicator (%((A:ELEVATOR TRIM POSITION, degrees))%!4.1f!°)" As well for most switches to tune "values". Most of these ToolTips are predefined by FSX and Prepar3D. An other type of example : It is difficult to determine if the primer is on or not on the VC : Engine 4 Primer (On) or (Off) would be nicer... Sorry if i sound harsh, but you explicitly mentionned my previous reports. Gérard
  10. It's the same with FSX. You assign the axis with the simulator and use the Configurator for all the button. I don't use FSUIPC and I suggest you get a look at the differents profiles at Aerosoft site :https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/files/category/126-honeycomb-profiles/ Depending of the type of lever, you can look how the reverse are configured in the Twin Otter Extended profile (for GA type lever) or at any PMDG profile for the Commercial levers. I like the last one which give you the possibility to have "idle reverse" (small reverse levers) and "full reverse" when moving down the levers below the detent point. You better view content of the profile with an editor to get the concept... But if you are used to FSUIPC, you should find "easily" your way 😉 I can share that particular part off a profile I built for TurboProp using the commercial levers. Gérard
  11. The axis must be assigned through Prepar3D, the Configurator is only for the "buttons" and LED. "Buttons" = flaps, gear, elevator trim, reverse (including full down position of levers...) Gérard
  12. Could you do us a favor before (or may be in a next iteration). I am used to put as much as possible everything outside Prepar3D folder using the add-on.xml method.. The only issue I have with the B314 is that your DirectSound uses an absolute path. I had to create a jonction from a fake empty "G:\Prepar3D v5\SimObjects\Airplanes\PILOTS B314 triple tail\sound\" to the Add-On sound folder to make it work. Thanks to consider that "request". Gérard
  13. Is the driver (AfcBridge) installed and runing ? See the P3D menu Addon. You should have an Honeycomb sub-menu... Gérard
  14. Prepar3D Learning Center KEY_RADIO_ADF_IDENT_DISABLE Turns ADF 1 ID off KEY_RADIO_ADF2_IDENT_DISABLE Turns ADF 2 ID off I always go to the "Bible"
  15. And I am in agreement with you - but there is no chance the get the engine started with a Mixture reset to zero. We are speaking of the VC behavior part - I am perfectly able to start the 2D way, but not interested. PS : Concerning the door issue, you can just take a look on the doorcontrol gauge. You will see that opening door 2 to 4 need a sequence of (>K:TOGGLE_AIRCRAFT_EXIT) (>K:SELECT_2) or 3 or 4. (other events needs also this K:SELECT_n). The event flooding breaks this sequence and then only the door 1 (default EXIT) will open and close. But you know much better that I these topics and I wonder what you are trying to do with me... My objective was to give INPUT - I am a professional IT project manager and Quality Assurance was my speciallity. So I know that feedback is valuable and fixing issue may be very time consuming. Gérard EDIT :
  16. Are you joking : of course this is complety out of the way it should work. The main objective of this was to understand (and help to understand) why this does not work in VC mode. You got the answer : for a reason you will have to determine, the Starter Booster (L:EngineStartBoosterButton, bool) stops completly the starting sequence. Investigating further, I found that Primer and HandPump had no impact (always in VC mode), which is also a BUG. And at last, I was able to find in the overcrouded event log (dsd_p3d_event_logger_x64, that shows between 600 and 1150 events every second) that every 5 seconds the starter is re-activated and mixture set to zero). That's way I try the TRICK I described. We are not at the step to follow the FOM. And yes, not been able to follow the FOM from the VC is a BUG.
  17. Got it very recently, but I have yet to install it. I also have the Alpha for which the axis are directly managed by P3D, and I am convinced it is the same for the Bravo. I don't saw anything concerning the axis in the new configurator, as was the case in the "old yokeinput". Gérard
  18. The start procedure I described is for VC ONLY, which was so far considered as impossible... Of course, when the VC start up procedure will be fixed, I expect to need the starter booster, the primer and the handpump 😉 and the cowflaps... but not the low engine RPM !
  19. The 4 "doors" existing on the B314. The access to the engine... There is also the mooring access, visible with "Parking Brake". A very beautiful FlyBoat 🙂 For the time being you will need the "doorcontrol.zip" gauge available here in the library.(2004 gauge, but works fine even in P3DV5..) to be able to open them. Gérard
  20. Here the detailed procedure (already working in previous version and reported by mail) To start engines from the VC (NO 2D panel used nor opened) The obvious : - set up fuel selectors - set battery switch - set mixture lever at about 50% - starter the non obvious - do not activate the starter booster goto the FE motor panel and - quickly and continuously move (I would even say agitate) the VC throttle lever around 50% during the time the starter is active. - this will give a chance to actually start the engine (I have 90% success...) Remarks : - the VC mixture lever is not synchronised with the Throttle Mixture lever position - moving the TQ mixture lever modifies the A:GENERAL ENG MIXTURE LEVER POSITION:n but not the VC mixture lever position (on FE motor panel) - of course moving the vc Mixture lever modifies the A:GENERAL ENG MIXTURE LEVER POSITION:n value. - loking at the variable ENG GENERAL STARTER:n , you will see that the starter is reactived every 5 seconds AND the mixture reset to zero each time (which must be the cause of the start fail) Hope it helps. Gérard
  21. A well known Dragonflightdesign wrote in October 2020 on FsDeveloper 😉 You will get a detailed start-up sequence on Tuesday. Gérard
  22. Sorry, I just discoverred your message. I was convinced to have ask for notifications... 1 - The start-up sequence - just activate the starter nothing else. As already mentionned the Starter Booster kills the start sequence. I am not at home. Will give you the detailed sequence in few days. 2 - Event flooding : it is not a matter of fps, but the model has 4 doors. Just try to open the others : shift-e + 2 or 3 or 4 and let me know if you get them. 😉 Just ask on FsDeveloper... 3 - Tootips : you had some answer on FsDeveloper. To save time, look at the Learning Center : SDK/sdk / panel / gauge / reference / tooltip. Thank you to take the time to respond... Gérard.
  23. The lattest updates of the Falcon contains both cockpit and outside textures by Wicked Bacon. Visible on official video of FlySimware. Gérard
  24. Hi DragonFlydesign, I know you as a respected contributor on FsDeveloper and I also understand you are taking over and fixing some else "production"... So I hope you don't feel offended by my remarks. You know much better than I that "event flooding" can have a significant impact on the simulator, the most well know being the impossibility of opening any door/exit except the main (number one). And its a petty, because the model have 4 nice exits, which can only be seen using the "DoorControl" small freeware gauge. I discovered that there are between 600 and 1150 events sent every second to the simulator. Fixing that may (I say MAY) help on other issues. In am using ONLY the VC. I can start the engines using only the starter : no Starter Booster, that KILLS the start process, no primer, no Engine Fuel Pump needed. Sorry, but suddently, while doing a short fly, they went on. Switching of the Rear Wall Radio receive and Radio trans switches (from the VC) did not "silent" them. I don't remember having done anything special (I was even letting the autopilot manage the B314). For the future : - We really need ToolsTip on some click spots : for example, it is almost impossible to verify that elevator trim is set to zero. - The autopilot On/Off lever is labelled the opposite way than on the 2D panel - I think the 3D is wrong. That's all for a first flight 🙂 Thank you for taking care of this beautiful FlyBoat. Gérard
