@Sax, in my experience Simbrief does have route SIDs and STARs for small portion of routes. What I mean is that when I'm using it I usually find routes which doesn't offer SIDs and STARs at all. I am mostly flying European routes, but noticed recently that they are including it in more routes. But I know for sure that Simbrief has the possibility to validate the route where you previously manually entered SID and STAR. @Mark thank you for your suggestion. Yes I do have a tablet and using it primarily for the checklists, but would like to use it as a remote CDU. So I'll look for it for sure. @Mike, great idea for the hardware component for flight sim, but at the moment I'm so tight on budget that can't even think about it. Also space at home would be the real problem for that too. But I would like to have in the near future some yoke. @Vic, thanks for the great input. Just one or two questions if I may so, which software is Frictionality and what purpose does it serve? Also doesn't know a lot about AI Smooth?

Thank you SAX. But how are you planning the SIDs and STARs because Simbrief doesn't support that?

PMDG 737 +++
Hello everyone, Can you please share what is in your experience the best combination of add-ins to run along with the PMDG 737 NGX. What I really mean is when you start the FSX which third party software add-ins are you running along with the PMDG 737 for the best experience. My personal combination of add-ins are as follows (ranked by the starting order): 1. Active Sky Next 2. FlyUk virtual SkyTrack for chosing the route 3. Navigraph Charts for SID AND STAR 4. TOPCAT - not always 5. FSX-SE - GSX - PMDG 737 Wish you all clear skies Marko

Radeon External FPS Limiter
Fox_Thunder replied to Fox_Thunder's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcThanks for the reply, really appreciate it. However I know about RadeonPro. To explain a little bit. After upgraded to Windows 10 I couldn't use anymore Radeon _FPS_limiter from Boyote site and than I found that the RadeonPro would give me the same results. And I decide to give it a try. Installed it correctly and actually succeeded in limiting FPS for some other games but not for FSX. After numerous attempts I decided to let it go from my computer. Now has someone tried it and maybe successfully configured it to work with FSX? If so could you please share your settings used in doing so. Safe simming Marko

Radeon External FPS Limiter
Dear all, Does anyone uses the external FPS limiter for the Radeon graphics card on the Windows 10 operating system? If so could you please share your experience with the rest of the community about setting it up in Windows 10 and a like. The reason I'm asking this is that before Windows 10 I could use the software Radeon_external_FPS_limiter (found it on Boyote tweaking site), but since Windows 10 the mentioned software doesn't work. Also is there some other similar software that could work on Windows 10? Thank you all in advance for the helpful tips and suggestions. Safe simming Marko

Missing SID/STARS in FMC
That is a good question. Really hope someone will give answer to that. But I think that Simbrief can validate everything connected because internaly have installed FMS with all the SIDs and STARs relevant to particular route and runway. I also hope that Simbrief implement the option for full route planing with all the SIDs and STARs in route. Regards Marko Lisica

Missing SID/STARS in FMC
You are welcome. Actually Simbrief is a great flight planner program with great fuel predictions. And just if you didn’t know you could also use it to check the route you programmed previously with SID and STAR. Just need to manually enter SID before the first point in route and STAR after the last point. Then just click validate route and voila the program tells you if your route is plausible or not. Missing SID/STARS in FMC
Hello there. Actually you do not need Navigraph ultimate subscription. But I would warmly suggest the FMS Data subscription. It comes as four-cycle per year or 13-cycles per year, it is your choice. Than with that you can actually upgrade Simbrief with latest data and also PMDG airliners FMC and everything will be compatible. Also take a look at the programs called Aivlasoft EFB and PFPX. Both of those you just buy and forget, they are not subscription based. And also with the purchased FMS data you can update those programs to for the compatibility with your airliner. With for example PFPX it would give you actual route with SID and STAR which best fit the calculated route. So the charts become less important but not totally irrelevant because you will still need some important information about departure and arrival airports. But now flying would be very much possible even without charts. Hope this helps a little bit Marko

Optimal settings for ATI users with FSX - Great Results!
Fox_Thunder replied to cvearl's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI have installed RadeonPro and configured it just how Charles showed on pictures. Also set FSX-SE fps to unlimited. The problem is that frame rate is not locked even as I checked that option in RadeonPro. What am I doing wrong? My system specifications are as follows: i5 3350p 3.1 Ghz, Asus 7850 2 GB, 8 GB ram, SSD 120 GB - Windows 10 Pro, HDD 500 GB. Thanks in advance Marko Lisica

RadeonPro
Fox_Thunder replied to Fox_Thunder's topic in Video Hardware: Monitors | Multi-Monitors | Video Cards | Drivers etcI read the great really detailed topic about ATI Radeon graphic cards and FSX simulator. http://www.avsim.com/topic/404430-optimal-settings-for-ati-users-with-fsx-great-results/page-8 The simulator is Flight Simulator X Steam Edition. System specs are: i5 3350p 3.1 Ghz, Asus HD7850 2GB, 8 GB ram, 120 GB SSD, 500 GB HDD, Windows 10 Pro. Thanks

RadeonPro
Hy everyone. I recently find out that in order to achieve the best results in terms of how smooth the simulator is I have to install some external fps limiter. This is especially when using Radeon graphic card. So I installed the app, configured fps limit externaly to 30 fps, than in the sim itself configured internal fps limiter to unlimited. When I start flight it simply want apply that 30 fps limit instead it runs freely varying considerably depending on the aircraft I fly. My question is why is this happening and does I missed something in the configuration and installation process? Regards Marko Lisica
