  1. Thank you for posting that exact view. I don’t recall seeing it or I missed it. That actually is a great example of how much a third-party could add to even a showcase airport like KRNT. There is a ton of detail missing still around the airport there, including having the several years old straight blast fence still.
  2. Oh I understand, it's just not really capturing the "why". For instance, I don't currently use any simulator, VR or not... Even an option to articulate that might capture more useful data. If I were using one though, I would be using XP with VR, so I chose "yes". I think many people have been pulled back out of the woods from "no longer simming" by the MSFS announcement. Oh well
  3. I might have been good to have poll options that expanded a bit to better understand the situation, such as: Yes No No, but I'd like to in the future if MSFS offers it. No, I tried it and it wasn't for me
  4. So even if they are new members here or are existing members but don't comment that much or haven't in a while, their opinions are valid? (asking for some of my non-VR loving friends)
  5. Is it ok if we let other interested parties on other forums know about this poll?
  6. lmao - "the Org" - That place is as progressive as a nursing home.
  7. Can we please not do this whole thing again? MS knows the demand for VR is out there and I'm sure it'll factor into their plans as they see fit. More polls about VR here just continue to fracture everyone with incessant arguing.
  8. I believe the new system is called "AwesomeGen", because it looks frickin' AWESOME
  9. This is so exciting and cool. This should allow them to create much more region/location specific things on their end and we get the benefit of never having to do updates or new scenery add-on purchases on our end. Incredibly cool!
  10. I don't know what you mean. I was just saying it's smart of MS/Asobo to be proactive and not simply reactive.
  11. Wish it did - Doesn't. There's something about the isolation of the environment that (being in the headset) that's hard to explain. You can literally be lost in that world.
  12. Side question: What's "RW"? In my experience with getting even a touch nautious in VR, it was solely and only about sim/HMD/FPS performance. Of course people are all different. I would add that many people get motion sick in real planes also.
  13. And I would argue the opposite and ask the developers to please implement VR as soon as possible and add seasons and ATC as it is practical to do so. Cheers
  14. There is no problem with people who came just to vote. This is insanity man. One need not have some extensive posting history to participate here and there and vote in polls. Many, many many forum users across the web do lots of reading without posting. If they decide to chime in on a poll because it’s of interest to them, it’s just as valid as your opinion or that of anyone who posts like crazy here.
  15. Also, VR is so critical for many of us because it’s literally the primary interaction method with the entire experience. Seasons, ATC, many other things - sure I want all those, but I have no interest in any of it unless I’m experiencing the sim through VR. I think if people haven’t really gotten into VR simming, they don’t understand quite how revolutionary it is and how different the entire experience really is. It makes you want VR or nothing really (as we know).
  16. For sure - to each their own. I’m just a bit skeptical that they’ll be this new hotness with gorgeous graphics across the globe and people will be super excited about firing up P3D at that point... Could be! Not me though. Lol My NVMe’s are cleaned up already and I’m keeping occupied with other games and interests while keeping tabs on the MSFS news.
  17. I’ll grant this, but honestly not sure if it’s that true either if I’m being honest. I’m seeing MSFS news and excitement in so many unexpected corners of the internet that are nowhere near aviation/FS niche enthusiast related that I think they’ll have a home run on day one, Avsim types onboard or not.. Besides, we have many here saying they’ll be staying with P3D for a good long while. Lol - we’ll just see about that. 😉
  18. In X-Plane, weather and ATC should have been dealt with many versions ago. It’s always been baffling that Austin doesn’t care more about weather in particular. I have very little faith in XP delivering the goods long term. It all just takes too long with them. It always has. Anyhow, I’m off topic rambling about XP - wrong place for that.
  19. ^^^ Absolutely Also -MS no doubt would like to dramatically expand and grow the reach of their new FS effort, and thus a hyper niche of Avsim is of even less importance for gathering data about where to expand, grow, change and focus new features.
