  1. Eh...Why are people saying 1 year plus x days? They never gave a deadline until a few weeks ago. Originally they were going to make the old busses compatible for 64 bit. They didn't even give a deadline for this. Then they changed their minds, and decided it would be better to make a new product, properly optimised for 64 bit. The first date they gave was only a few weeks ago, when Mathijs said they would be aiming for the 6th of September. I love the way people interpret things their own way.
  2. They aimed for August. They missed the deadline by 10 days. I don't think it's worth being critical over. I do see why people have an issue with them, but not for this reason. Personally I never had any issue with them. Yes, I'd like to have seen the busses and the CRJ released a lot earlier, but y'know, sh*t happens, as a wise man once said. I think a 4 day delay is not worthy of a moany thread though.
  3. "In a move that's not surprising to anyone" "which has been under development for a long, long, long time" "and will probably be out by next year" "part of Aerosoft slow product development cycle" Looks like a moan to me.
  4. Ok, I just read the update. They're pushing the release until next Monday. Hardly a deal breaker. We waited long enough for this, a few more days isn't going to kill us. I get why people are upset by Aerosoft, bad experiences with the CRJ, long waiting times for the new busses etc, but this thread just looks like the OP was just looking for a reason to bash them again. Get over it, people. We are a world of moaners. Let it go. It's only another few days to wait.
  5. offensive initials not allowed? They were meant to be releasing it on Thursday. I did see Mathijs' saying in a post yesterday that they had found an issue. And I just knew it was going to get delayed.
  6. Sounds like a standard operating procedure for Rynair 😅

    SODE

I'll try that out. Cheers for the tip.

    SODE

Jim, Yeah, I know SODE jetways have these advantages, but in my experience it's just not worth it, with the amount of issues I have. Whatever happened to simplicity haha.

    SODE

I feel your pain. I have the same problem. With SODE installed, it disables all my CTRL+J jetways. SODE has just become an even bigger nightmare lately. How difficult can it be? Why do we even need SODE? Why can't all jetways use the CTRL+J method. Why do developers buy into the SODE method?
  10. Isn't that the one that flies from London City, but the runway is too short for it to take off with a full load of fuel? If so, I'm fairly sure you're right. However, I didn't realise the Aer Lingus flights from Dublin ended their stopovers there. So the folk living down south have to travel up to Dublin to get a flight to the US? Sucks for them I guess.
  11. Unfortunately I didn't get around to it. Life is a bit hectic at the moment. Ah well, hopefully soon.
  12. Is there any aircraft that Alan DOESN'T own? 😅 He's like a walking Wikipedia for simming aircraft. Great stuff lad, it's much appreciated.
  13. Nothing too "scary" for me. I fly a lot between Ireland and the UK with work. All short hops. Have had an aborted landing at Gatwick, due to a runway incursion. Had an extremely turbulent flight while coming home from a holiday in Lanzarote. Other that, my experiences have all been pretty good.
  14. That's interesting, It's actually the most promising idea I've heard in the last 14 months. Might try it out this evening.
  15. Personally I don't like the term, as it's used to include an entire country that's not even under British rule. It makes about as much sense as me calling it the "Irish Isles". But I'm well used to hearing British people use it, and it doesn't annoy me as much as it used to. I do agree though that I'd love to see Gary expand his work to include the much neglected Republic of Ireland. His work is sublime, and his products are really good value for money.
  16. Just to clarify, I didn't mean it sound like I definitely thought he WAS mentally ill. I was just putting it out there, that unless a doctor/psychiatrist diagnosed / didn't diagnose him, we don't actually know. His mother saying that he was "fine" isn't proof of anything.
  17. British Isles? Tread carefully, pal 😅
  18. I'm going to go out on a limb here, I know she was his mother, but mental illness is not always visible and just because she says so, it doesn't mean he wasn't mentally ill. An extremely close friend of mine took his own life a couple of years back, and everyone thought he was happy, loved life and was very outgoing. That's the problem with mental illness, especially depression. The sufferer makes it look like nothing's wrong, but on the inside they are being torn apart. Obviously, I'm not a doctor or anything, but I do know that when someone claims that another person isn't mentally ill, I'll always take that with a pinch of salt.
  19. Indeed. Nearly all transatlantic flights out of Dublin include a short stopover at Shannon. Or they used to. I assume they still do.
  20. I may be wrong, but I seem to recall Gary saying that he won't be developing any airports outside the UK.
  21. You need to buy a camera addon such as EZdok or Chase Plane. Also you posted this in the wrong section. You can expect this thread to be moved shortly.
  22. Fair enough. I'm sure you're right. I don't remember having to do that, but I must have done at some point.
  23. Correct me if I'm wrong, but with Orbx central, aren't all your Orbx products integrated within the same interface, regardless of where you bought them from? At least that's how it is for me.
  24. To be fair, I think EZdok v2 pretty much works "out of the box" too. Version 1 was a nightmare to set up.
  25. @DaveCT2003 you need to get your Aerosoft associates to read this thread so they can see how badly the customers need an updated Dublin 😉
