  1. So as a small intermediate result is to say that it is only worthwhile with regard to the MSFS. When X-Plane came out, that did not mean I threw away my P3d. I continue to use both (P3D 90%, X-Plane 10%). It's the same with MSFS. I will continue to use P3D with all the purchased airports, sceneries, planes and add-ons. So the (only) advantage at this time is that I can use the PMDG 737 in both simulators later, P3D and MSFS - and the whole for the bundle price of the announced $140. Luckily I have time to think it over until Christmas. And I'm sure I will buy the FSX update 2020 (lol), but keep my P3D.
  2. Hi, i own the "old" PMDG 737NGX with the 700/600 expansion pack, Immersion cockpit and turbine sounds and remote CDU for my tablet pc. Everything works fine. Regardless of the savings for the MSFS 2020 model - are the technical and visual innovations so impressive that it is worth the 99$ if you consider it as an update? Raller
  3. Sean Moloney is the owner of Vertx and continues to sell his product with a note of support. And many months ago he just disappeared. And all statements for this are written by members and not official. Don't get me wrong, i love the RealAir und Vertx airplanes and Sean is an artist in the developer field. But I see it the same way, a sign of life and a 2 minute statement is not too much to ask. I also care about my family, but I still go to work every day...
  4. I found the solution. Believe it or not, if i copy and paste the code to Notepad++, after the last letter in this row ".......0.5 - 0.1 + < if{ " there is a hidden sign (mayby a line feed or carriage return). After i deleted this hidden sign from the code, everything works fine. Thanks for this mod.
  5. Hi, I've noticed for a long time that the battery bar is working and the magneto bar does not. So your mod is pretty cool to fix that. BUT unfortunately it does not work for me, i don't know why. Under investigation...
  6. When installing the demo version I was very surprised that you have to install GSX before. Although GSX is free for this airport, I do not like this because it affects the entire P3D flight simulator and is not limited to just this airport. I could not read anything about the GSX need on the FSDT homepage. The only thing is Features: + Highly detailed SODE Jetways.
  7. On all addon purchases I've ever made in p3d, the GTN750/650 is the best 👍
  8. Hi Bert, i just checked it: when I run the "F1GTN750C421C.exe" the F1GTN.ini will be created. But the entries are correct. [GTN750.1] Radios=0 //NAV1 Autopilot=1 Mouse=0 ....
  9. You are right, so the popup-label shows the wrong Jet-A fuel calculation and additionally the lbs-scale is a little misaligned. Who reports the bug to Alabeo and waits for a bugfix? Just kidding 😉 PS: Maybe Bert can help to find the xml file where the label is calculated. In the worst case it is done in the interior model file.
  10. Hi Stewart, i guess the gauge scale is a little incorrect! To test it, i changed the fuel quantity with the payload manager to 50 and to 100 gal. 50gal should be 334lbs and 100gal should be 667lbs, so the popup-labeling (and the blue gal-scale) is correct but the lbs-scale is incorrect. One of the many cockpit texture issues that has to be corrected by yourself (if you are practiced in customizing textures)...
  11. Makes it a little easier to use 😉 By now it has become one of my favorite ga airplanes in the middle class segment (after some system mods and countless texture bug fixes in the cockpit). ...which luckily are possible (and necessary) at Carenado/Alabeo.
  12. No i did not. I just know the KAP140 AP and it behaves like this.
  13. ...it turns the Alt Hold Mode off. That's how the AP looks like. PS: My intention within the Alt Hold Mode is: 1. i dial a new hight 2. i push the ARM button (with my modification the AltHoldMode turns off automaticaly) 3. i set the vertical speed with the wheel After i reach the desired height, the AltHoldMode turns back on again. Works fine...
  14. I found a solution and made an entry in the "Gauge_ALT_ALERT.xml". It works like expected and til now i haven't found any negativ side effects. Maybe Bert can take a look if it's right. ..... <MouseArea id="MouseArea_all"> <FloatPosition>0.000,0.000</FloatPosition> <Size>750,352</Size> <MouseArea id="Gauge_cancel"> <FloatPosition>686.000,149.000</FloatPosition> <Size>50,50</Size> <CursorType>Hand</CursorType> <MouseClick id="MouseClick"> <Script> (M:Event) 'LeftSingle' scmp 0 == if{ 1 (&gt;L:BUFFER_BTN_FMC,number) (L:ASD_C421_BTN_ALTITUDE_SET,number) 0 == if{ 1 (&gt;L:ASD_C421_BTN_ALTITUDE_SET, number) 1 (&gt;L:PUSH_BTN_ALTITUDE_CANCEL, number) 1 (&gt;L:GAUGE_ALT_ALERT_DENTRO, number) 0 (&gt;L:GAUGE_ALT_ALERT_LIGHT, bool) 0 (&gt;L:BUFFER_ALTITUDE_SELECT,bool) <!-- +++++++ My modification +++++++ --> (&gt;K:AP_ALT_HOLD_OFF) (&gt;K:SYNC_FLIGHT_DIRECTOR_PITCH) 1 (&gt;L:ALT_VS_SEL_ON) <!-- ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ --> (A:VERTICAL SPEED,ft/min) 0.15 * abs (&gt;L:TASAASENSO_VAR,number) 1 (&gt;L:ALT_ARM_SEL_ON_KNOB, number) } els{ 0 (&gt;L:ASD_C421_BTN_ALTITUDE_SET, number) 0 (&gt;L:PUSH_BTN_ALTITUDE_CANCEL, number) 0 (&gt;L:ALT_ARM_SEL_ON_KNOB, number) } } </Script> <ClickType>LeftSingle+LeftRelease</ClickType> </MouseClick> <Tooltip id="Tooltip" > <DefaultScript>Armed Buttom (%((L:ASD_C421_BTN_ALTITUDE_SET,bool) 0 >)%{if}On%{else}Off%{end})</DefaultScript> </Tooltip> </MouseArea> ......
  15. The thing is, as long as ALT HOLD is selected, i can't change the vertical speed on the AP Pitch wheel. It's locked!
  16. Hello Bert, thx for your autopilot fix. I implemented it but the BC button is still not working probably! Since I never use it, it's not that important to me. But i have another question: If i am in AltHoldMode and (on the Alt Alert Gauge) i dial a new hight and then push the ARM button, i expect that the AltHoldMode will turn off, but that doesn't happen. Maybe you have a solution for it? Best regards Raller
  17. I'm now using a combination of ASP4, ASCA, REX SoftClouds and PTA and I'm very happy with it. ASP4 => Weather Engine ASCA => Global Automatic Mode with only Sky Colors and Cloud Structures enabled REX => for Cloud Textures and Sun Effects PTA => for a few Contrast and Lighting improvements There is not much to set (except in PTA) and the result is impressive. When I look at real-time webcam images from various cities and then compare them to the weather in P3D, the cloud formations and sky colors are really fitting and realistic. I am satisfied and from now on I do not touch anything anymore 😉
  18. Inspired by this thread, I bought myself ASCA (currently at 30% off) and must say that it looks very good. Absolutely uncomplicated in full dynamics mode. It takes about 20 seconds to show the clouds after P3D is loaded, but that is absolutely ok. So far I am very excited.
  19. I use Active Sky 2016 (now ASP4) and REX 4 Texture Direct with Soft Clouds (now Enhanced Edition) for years and i am still very happy with it.
  20. ...ignore my previous post, I got lost in the file names.
  21. One more note: For example, the file "air_tb1_2" in the P3D/Texture folder (modified by REX) is a .dds file. In the ORBX folder there is the same file, only as .bmp That messes things up a bit. As far as I know, P3D prefers the .dds files if both have the same filename. This means that not all files in the Orbx folder will take effect!
  22. That's the list of files in my REX Worldwide Airports backup folder. So that would have to be all the files that REX modifies and writes to the P3D\Texture folder. 156 of these file names can be found in the orbx folder. 23. If you compare the file names of the REX Worldwide Airports backup folder (REX Worldwide Airports\BackupP3D4\Texture) with the file names in the Orbx Buildings folder (Prepar3D v4\ORBX\Scripts\BuildingsHD\Core\Texture"), you can see which Rex files being overwriten by ORBX. Not all REX texture files are overwritten. Of 315 REX files, 156 are overwritten by ORBX in my case (same file names). You could now delete these 156 files from the ORBX folder, then you would have the full enjoyment of REX-Worldwide Airports. But after the next ORBX update all files would be back!
  24. As some have already reported, I hardly noticed a difference between default and orbx. Only if you compare 2 screenshots you can see the differences. Whether one really needs a 4K resolution for the orbx textures I dare to doubt. Due to the varied colors of the orbx textures, the overall picture has a more contrasting effect. Whether it's worth the money, everyone has to decide for themselves. PS: I believe the overall impression at night is worth the money...
  25. Hi, i guess that won't help. Rex installs the textures directly into the Prepar3D v4\Texture folder. If then orbx buildings are loaded, these files will be "overloaded". So the orbx textures are the winners.
