  1. Aerofly FS2 added this rerasonably well although your arms would stay fixed to yoke/throttle. Tracking would be amazing ! It will come.
  2. We're getting close now folks. There are 6 beta testers test building this now in the UK, USA and Australia. They've been focussed on testing the printing and assembly but this weekend I hope that one or two will finish that assembly and I'll get some in-use feedback. If that goes well I will publish the designs and complete my assembly video series over the weekend of Dec 4-6.
  3. When I look at the stats on YouTube I see average watch time around 3 minutes, so thanks for bringing up the average. I'll try and do another one this w/e for you 😉

  5. December 22 then? OK, a week or two's time to see if RTX prices ease a little and then I'll have to pay whatever it takes.
  6. Any mention of timing? I was flying over the white cliffs of Dover the other day and they were somewhat uncliffy.
  7. Best news of the week ! I have my Odyssey until the G2 arrives. Time to get some money down on an RTX
  8. https://forums.eagle.ru/forum/english/dcs-world-topics/mods-and-apps/248597-vrk-a-virtual-reality-enabled-kneeboard-with-touch-and-ink-support?t=246970
  9. The best option imho is something like VRK kneeboard. A physical tablet device velcro’d to your knee which takes interactions like scroll, pen interaction and page turn and insim you see a tablet with approach plates, written text etc. I got that going in AFS2 as an overlay. It would be better done as part of the sim.
  10. Hand detection with/without gloves and certain areas disabled where real hardware is would be a great step forward.
  11. It sooo quiet on the VR beta testing. I didn't get in. Maybe my 1080ti doesn't cut it? Anybody got anything they could share, even circuitously without breaking NDAs?
  12. Many thanks. I’m almost there. Working hard to get a nice feel for the pitch axis - spending a fortune on springs at the moment to get just the right one. 🙂
  13. Aiming to launch this flight stick early December. Replica to scale Spitfire MkIX spade grip with 2 button firing Working brake lever Upper bracket also to scale Hall sensors throughout Standard windows controller auto-detects but you'll need to map pitch/roll/brake Currently being tested in MSFS with a Spitfire MkIX due out in a few weeks (have had collaboration with the developer) Low cost rig ensures accurate placement between your legs First product of a range - trim wheel, throttle quadrant, under carriage and flaps lever at prototype stage Here's the unusual bit - it's free. It has been designed to be printable on a cheap 3D printer (developed on a sub £200 Ender 3) and to be assembled with basic Airfix/Ikea skills using low cost commodity parts (sealed bearings, bolts, sensors available from Amazon/ebay). Assembly videos, parts-list and printable files will be released at launch, so you could have it working for Christmas 😉 Here's a 3D render, photo of a prototype being tested at Boultbee Academy's Spitfire MkIX simulator and an in situ photo. 14. This is what I struggle with in Aerofly. I tried VRK kneeboard but it wasn't quite there - OK for DCS guys scribbling notes but couldn't handle approach plates very well. On the plus side it uses a real world pen tablet for a nice physical experience. worth checking out ASOBO if you're lurking!
  15. Thanks for the tip. I had a Reverb G1 and Samsung at the time I did my dxdiag but neither were plugged in.
  16. I just got notified about a comment on another forum by somebody who got in. When I went to check the forum the message was not there, but the snippet in my email was that it was A+++
  17. Well not much at all at the moment. Aerofly FS2 in VR is what got me into flight sim and that's what I will use on occasion until VR comes to MSFS.
  18. I'd say it does mimic the real feel - I flew over the Lake District earlier this year from Carlisle airport in a Piper Warrior - introductory test flight. I had the controls from take off to landing apart from a couple of minutes over the Solway Firth so I got some good first hand experience of the feel and the forces of a GA yoke. This is the closest I've experienced. I'd say the mass of the steel in no small part contributes. Great memory.
