  1. If you fancy some nice flight controls to go with it.... https://authentikit.org/spitfire-mkix/
  2. Hi Bill. The clever bit where it integrates with MSFS is beyond me actually. I just worked out that it could render a web page and connected at that level. Having said that some helpful techy has recompiled me a new version of EBAG under its own name and toolbar title. Perhaps this fresh version will co-exist. I haven't had chance to test it but hope to do so this weekend. I'll post here when I do. Cheers Phil
  3. I think I will post it a bit more widely shortly. I’d like to fix that spaces in filenames bug first.
  4. Familiar faces showing up here. Hi gents! I agree with all the above.
  5. Thanks. I agree! Maybe not many people like to fly old school in VR using notes and charts?
  6. Via custom toolbars you can. See my electronic flightbag thing for PDFs. Someone did a skyvector. Its pretty easy to pull in anything on a web browser. Not sure about Pilot2ATC
  7. Not sure on that - it's based on something that looks at web pages, so if that's a way of retrieving the info you need..
  8. Maybe this one. Need to wait another week or two for it though. I'm designing it. Trying to get it finished in time for the Flying Iron Spitfire MkIX due any day now for MSFS. It may be made for a spitfire but works with any aircraft. https://authentikit.org for more info.
  9. Well this had me fooled for a while. Looks almost like the real thing, but its just a nice distressed paint job someone did after downloading the print files and building one of my flight sticks.
  10. I'm told the MkIX for MSFS is going to be another week (ish). Gives me time to try and get some more flight controls ready for it. This trim wheel will come as a unit with a throttle quadrant.
  11. OK, well the stick is finished. Now I'm working on this. It will come with a throttle quadrant as a single unit.
  12. Thank you very much indeed. Soon it will work the way I hoped it would in the first place.
  13. Thanks - I'll check the logic for spaces. As for the file_index.js file, yes it's in the file list but it shouldn't show as a white page as its excluded later. To confirm which page is white, look at the bottom right of the image being shown and it will say the filename. When I had a white page it was because I'd changed the images in the folder but not run the prepare BAT file.
  14. Nice work - how are you managing to type with any comfort/speed wearing the headset though?
  15. Ah, I see what you mean. I think what you need is VRK. You make notes with a pen. https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/211308-vrk-a-virtual-reality-enabled-kneeboard-with-touch-and-ink-support/ The developer is working on an open XR version.
  16. I included some demo files to show what is possible. I think you'll have what yoiu need.
  17. EBAG V1 Anybody want to beta test it before I upload it somewhere appropriate? https://authentikit.org/msfs/ebag_v1.zip Screen recorded in 2D, but works in VR. Icons a little small for my taste in VR - just trying to work out a better sizing logic. I think I also need a rotate feature. Any more requests?
  18. Exactly my feeling. Such a massive shift of simulation tech from the FSX one. As a developer I think its very bold too as the re-assembling of all those forces so that they actually produce the effect of reality you're aiming and hoping for is quite a challenge. I wonder too if its a big challenge for developers. Some great planes are developed by one or two man teams rather than a room of engineers with wind tunnel data. So, creating tools for 3rd parties to produce realistic stuff must be a big part of the challenge.
  19. I'd agree, though I found the G1 too uncomfortable to wear - pressed on the ridge of my nose. Big nose folk watch out ! Sold my G1, G2 fits nice.
  20. Yes you can view a webpage but if the webpage returns a PDF then it won't cope with the PDF
  21. Anyone know if OpenXR is completely separate to this and free of the original problem?
  22. Sorry guys, it's going to take a little bit longer. The MSFS viewer can't view PDFs directly, so I'm making a little pre-process BAT file that uses https://www.ghostscript.com/ to convert any PDFs into JPG images that MSFS can view. The process would be. 1) Stick all your JPGs, TXTs and PDFs into a folder "ebag" that you place somewhere 2) Click a "prepare_images" BAT file to convert the PDFs to JPGs So, not too fiddly. There will be a download to go into the Community area to set up the tab and it will read from the ebag folder. My viewer will let you step through the PDF pages now as images with a next/last button thing as well as zoom in/out and drag scroll.
  23. I made more progress today. It basically works like a web page which is an environment I'm used to. I've now got PDFs, TXT files and JPGs working wth zoom and drag. I've done the latest development in a normal web browser and will test in-sim tomorrow. If all good I'll release it tomorrow.
  24. Thanks. Now got each image filling the full window area with zoom and drag scroll working with mouse. Just images so far. PDFs and TXT need a slightly different approach, but both could be saved to JPG as a stop gap.
