  1. As Stated that is the TDS GTN which I own... Still needs some work on the API/SDK side from MSFS so that they can write back to the sim the Data required to drive the Flight Director... It also needs some of that support to get the "autopilot" to be a little less jerky in the Turns... Again I spend 90% of my time in MSFS and Love my Addon Aircrafts that are coming to this sim... they are awesome... I also don't care if I ever need to buy anything for P3D again... If anything I just want the MSFS development to get that last part right... maybe that would help Milviz and others to move even faster.. who knows.. I just don't think because we as simmers can claim that P3D is "done" I mean it is Lockheed ... they use it for their own stuff..
  2. when I can fly my Milviz planes in MSFS and use a proper Garmin GTN Training Device I will we a happy camper and finally be able to reclaim that extra disk space...
  3. Funny you keep trolling... Maybe you should stop.. Thank you.
  4. I didn't another poster did when they said P3D is done ... But hey thanks for the call out...
  5. The Buttonology is not correct.... I use P3D with Garmin Trainers so that the software is the actual unit that is then used in real flight... As stated ... it's not what I use (as stated earlier 90% is MSFS) most of the time but it is still needed when I want to use the Training Tool for proficiency sake.. Thus until I can fully use my TDS Trainer in MSFS then I need to keep P3D Around... I don't even need P3D v5... I can use P3D v4.5 for all of those needs... But my comment that this started had to do with P3D is not going to be "finished" ... It's not meant for this market of simmers... it's just not.. What I have seen that is really neat is one of the ProSim users showed using that with MSFS ... So getting a fully functional Home 737 cockpit to now use MSFS for the Visuals while it drives the actual simulation that is going to be the Meta for the ultimate home cockpit builder...
  6. Yes All of my Airline Pilot Friends and plenty others that flew Flight sims are just as impressed as I am with MSFS and how it looks ... But when they go to do their training in the Level D Sims ... most of the time it is in IFR visuals down to minimums or "below" ... And as one friend (my only Level D experience in a E190 sim with him) explained -- we just put it to night time as well... Airline Pilots don't have a care or say in influencing the "sims" to visually look better...
  7. MSFS is built off of the old FSX base... They still use the same GPS9 and KP140 AP base code... They have change a lot with visuals but this is not a focus for LM... Making a platform for their multimillion dollar products to be trained in is the purpose...
  8. It's worse ... plenty of those people even stream it and post videos ... All while using the Academic Licenses to boot... It would cost LM more money to try and enforce their EULAs then they make from it being sold... MS is fully aware and the same things goes ... Not worth the effort or cost to try an force it....
  9. It is not an assumption... That is a fact.. They acquired the ESP licenses for professional development tools and specifically state under the EULA that you are using that you can not purchase or run that software "For Entertainment" ... The FSX side was sold off to Dovetail... There was a history about PMDG and others all trying to band together to acquire it. MS seem to have re-acquired it back... Either way yes P3D does not care one bit about simulation users buying it... They care about supporting their actual customers... who spend millions with them.. 10. It is not debatable. None of the Avionics are 1:1 to the real Garmin units. The TDS Trainer (which I own) is lacking due to the API access required to be able to inject the control the Flight director as needed.... Like what RXP and F1 have to do with each release of P3D in updating what they do to control those elements... So if I want to fly an LPV approach I have to use P3D otherwise I don't get my FD PFD.... That is a Fact... work is needed. VFR flight ... if it is VFR weather and you have the ORBX landclass stuff well the roads, rails and rivers all show up in the correct place.. I fly for fun in MSFS 90% of the time... But no person can dismiss P3D as being done when a multibillion dollar company that makes Air Craft develops the platform for training ... not simmers...
  11. Until I can properly use a Garmin Trainer in MSFS.... P3D will not be gone from my system... Lockheed also DOES NOT CARE about people purchasing this for their home sims to use for "FUN"... It is a training tool and if you are using it for training then how things look is of no consequence....
  12. This is the same problem that has existed for "ever" in flight sim. Advanced Aircraft as I stated (FBWA320, WTCJ4, ASCRJ and PMDG DC-6 plus those to come...) have to run their own Autopilot systems to "simulate" the aircraft systems and controls they have. This requires that you interact with their commands and controls... These are L:VARS for the Data that they have like their Heading/ALT etc... and then they have H:EVENTs or L:VAR Data Modification that is required to be able to bind to Hardware... Again same statement I made earlier...
  13. either way -- you want to bind events to complex add on aircraft you can't do that in the SIM ... you will need external software like Spad.Next / AAO / FSUIPC / Mobiflight(arduinos) to be able to interact and have hardware interfaces to the Sim
  14. I have had one for years .. They work but to make life and all planes work well I don't use Saitek Logitech software.... I use Spad.next so that i can use it with all the Add On planes that need to have LVAR and HEvents in MSFS or just LVARs in P3D.... Example -- you want to use this with AS CRJ, PMDG DC-6, FBW A320 and even the WT CJ4 -- you will need to be able to interact with their LVars and HEvents.... Cant use the "default plane" commands in the Sim Bindings..
  15. The problem you have though is that your processor does not support the minimum required CPU family and thus instruction sets like BMI2... Problems will happen in the future 😞 ...
  16. check the "RJ45" cable that connects the Yoke Handle to the Base... Maybe it is not making good contact or worse the cable now needs to be replaced.
  17. If I run at a lower Resolution and a higher Render I don't find it look as good on my 4K display... If I set resolution to 4K (well 3840x2160) then set the render to about 70 which I think it says (not on my sim currently) gives me the 1440p Render then It looks better on the 4K display (text and displays...) and the FPS goes up...
  18. Why would you Render higher than the Display Resolution? ... trying to understand...
  19. I was able to get the RSG Controller programmed with Spad.Next as well... So any controller/Binding would be possible with programs like SPAD.Next / AAO / FSUIPC and probably Mobiflight as well...
  20. And for those interested ... Yes it can now be mapped to controllers as well...
  21. I took the TDS Trainer for a spin in the SR22. This is my first flight with it... Jumped straight in to see how it worked with MSFS.... Been missing having my Reality XP Trainer in the sim for some time. This is not yet ready to get me to remove P3D/RXP for proficiency use yet... Lot's of support needed in the API/SDK before they can close some of the pitfalls..
  22. This Product Definitely has a lot of hurdles to climb (MSFS SDK/API related by the way...) to get to where we have had the Reality XP product in the other sims. I have been wanting one of these in MSFS for a long time and I will have to live with the problems for now. I will wait a little bit to get more comfortable with in before taking it on VATSIM, Note that the operation is not the issue that makes it fantastic to use on Vatsim 🙂 but rather it will in regards to the PFD and Flight Director not getting correct annunciations or display on Approaches.. I did a "first impressions" video where I install and fly it for the first time in the SR22 ... Normally I would have done a couple of flights before actually recording it.. but hey figured why not share the experience :).... If you already have the trainer installed it will say it is there but make sure you Launch from the Garmin Launcher and add the Xi version of the GTN... otherwise the TDS installer will say it is installed but when it launches will not be able to find the trainer.... If you "re-install" it will do that step for you but might also remove your other versions...
  23. Latest update added support for the 430/530.650/750 ... Now we can configure any L:VAR or H:Event we want all from a GUI.. Easy to add Here is the first video on configuring it.. More to come including using it to configure to work with the New TDS Software based GTN 750 Trainer!!
  24. This is the current list of supported devices for Go flight ... If there are others not in the list you have I would ask the Dev to put it on the requested list. They have Forums but also a discord that is very very active..
