  1. no disagreement on that point....hence pointing out to people that if you do buy this stuff and wearable items are to go south you can not buy parts and will have to replace the entire thing....
  2. I actually have the 737 arms that have the AT DISC, TOGA and Reversers. The arm broke right at the surface (Kiddo pulled to the side and it snapped at that leverage point.
  3. It is not a 30 dollar Joystick....It is an 80 Dollar component that has plenty of moving parts. The manufacture the parts to make the sub assemblies that then make the final assemblies. Being able to offer at least at the sub assembly level should not be an issue that they can not sort out. The idea of planned obsolescence is not always valid. They have not come out with a replacement model that they want us to move onto so that they can kill off support for the legacy products. If you are still making new versions of the exact same product then yes you should be offering to sell parts....Parts usually have a 5x or 6x markup from cost....So I could essentially be paying 15-20 dollars for this part. The point to the post is not about --- Logitech/Saitek Suck and don't buy them....It is literally a post that you will not be able to buy parts and to keep that in consideration. Not holding them accountable for lacking a certain amount of service should be done and that is why I posted it.
  4. Just wanted to pass on a little dealing I had with Logitech. Since they are now the proud owners of Saitek don't go looking for parts. one of my Throttle Quads has a broken Plastic arm....1.2 year old pulled it and it snapped. Anyway they will not sell any parts even down to the entire sub assembly of the arm, pot and casing.....The only option they gave is to buy an entire replacement Quadrant.......80 Dollars for a cheap plastic part is nuts..... Anyway just be aware that going forward unlike in the Saitek days you will not be able to get parts.....they don't do parts.. Happy flying.
  5. Jump to about the 1 hour mark in this video to see it used on departure. I also have other videos in my Air Hauler Video where you see it used a lot. I need to do a PMDG 777 Video with it, just been busy doing GA with Air Hauler Recently.
  6. Best to just get all of those connected to a Board that will show up as a "Joystick" or Game controller. I built my GNS 530 using an Arduino for all of the buttons and encoders. This then shows up in the computer as a Joystick device. I use Spad.Next for all of my device programming....I like it better than FSUIPC as it does have some other nice features, but also because it can control all of my Saitek FIPs and most USB HID devices. In the 530 configuration (Shift - Right Click) under advanced you have the enable for using the Simulator Commands. Even without one of the interface controllers like Spad.next of FSUIPC you would be able to just map the Buttons in the Joystick mapping of FSX / P3D. However I do it in SPAD so that in the "bigger" planes like a PMDG 777 I can use it as the Lower Screen and then map all of the buttons for it. Digressing......Back on point....All of the Simulator Commands can be mapped to a button. In the GNS manual there is a listing that tells you which Command button maps to which GNS function. Most are straight forward but there are the Generic GPS Button 1-5 which get mapped to the "Radio Knob" or Left Knob. Also for the Com and Nav Swaps those use the standard Nav1 and Com Swap commands.
  7. Hi, Here was the first flight I was able to do a video for in the Sierra....Sadly I only finished up my Dual Requirements just before having to take it in for annual! I will be doing more soon when the plane is out...unfortunately this is one of those years where it is taking longer 🙂 However the weather has been word not allowed so I guess it is better now than in a year where the weather will be better.
  8. Hi, I bought the GTN 750 and did a review Video. It has context to it and explains what is required as well to get it running...so almost a tutorial as well I guess. The Short Summary -- It is actually a pretty great piece of kit to add to the sim if you like to fly GA. Even better for those that already own and use the GTN 750 by Reality XP.
  9. Thank you for pointing me in the correct direction. I had read through that but did not understand that it was possible with the actual Sim commands. I though I had to use Keyboard Shortcuts only for this. Using SPAD.NEXT I was able to use the BIT values to set the commands and have a working solution. The Values for the MASTER Device however were a little more tricky. The values were so high that SPAD.NEXT would not allow me to enter them. What I found worked was to find another LVAR ID for at the GNS and GTN devices further down the list and link the data value to those based on my switch position. For some reason the LVAR value being used is extremely high and I don't see anyway to configure this value to something a little easier to deal with....Like say 1 or 2 🙂 Thanks again for pointing me in the correct direction.
  10. That is the standard response -- "might be added" they don't add or fix anything!!! Even the A36 OAT Bug is not fixed.....I have spent HUNDREDS of dollars on their planes....Not another one will be bought if they can't even fix a simple bug with with value they are showing. They also could have implemented simple LVARS for controlling all of the cockpit items but they chose not too....Makes mapping the Autopilot impossible..again no more money going their way again.
  11. I have a GTN 750 RealSimGear unit and a Personal Built 530 Bezel (3D Printed and Arduino / Proto PCB buttons). 2 Things 🙂 1 - Would love an LVAR to swap which unit was the master Device sending Data to the Sim.....So somehow "swap" one for the other. 2 - Would be really cool if we could use some other Events in the sim...or Lvars to be able to control a Second GPS -- i-e maybe use some of the G1000 Button events in the sim?? That way we can run a GPS 1 and a GPS 2 that have hard control panels? Other than that I love having both....useful for different practice use cases......Would have loved one of these that worked with the GNS 480 😉
  12. yes -- it drives me up the wall and I have reported as a bug....they don't care to fix it.
  13. Hi I started a series on Air Hauler 2......Going to see how long it takes to start from a Bonanza and work my way up....Will make an episode for it all and try not to miss any of it.....This will be long 🙂 Episode 1 is here....I started a playlist to keep them in.
  14. Yes the "advanced" options 🙂 of SID and STARs come with the Navi Add-on for the 300. After you install updates for these you then have to run your Navigraph subscription installer again.. That way it will put the AIRAC back to current. When I updated mine it sets it back to what the Carenado Add-on ships with. Similar as with ASP4 which when updated needed to have the data manager re run to install the current AIRAC.
  15. Spad.Next is pretty easy to use...what issue are you having??? Have you watched the YouTube videos that are out there?? They should how to work the UI pretty straight forward. I love Spad.Next....I don't use FSUIPC at all anymore. Simconnect direct from SPAD and all the LVAR support is perfect.
  16. My Desktop unit works -- only after i replaced the control module by contacting the vendor (LEO Bodnar). They stoped replying to me and I did meet the guy to do a swap in Toronto. The only reason I ever got my unit to begin with is that I have friends that are Toronto Police. They told me to file a complaint of Fraud so that they could go do something about it. Only then did they respond real quick and ship out a unit......it was broken and then we did a swap in person in. My guess was it was actually a unit that was a "prototype" that had been in use. Take your chances if you want to....however don't send them money until they are going to ship you.....maximum go a week and make sure you use Paypal or something so that you can file a claim to get your money back. Also make sure to get a ship date guarantee in writing to show Paypal. Even then PayPal will sometimes not honour their buyer protection. example -- bought a tablet from gear best and it came with a damaged screen. They stated I had to return it with a insured signed delivery.....well that was going to cost more than I paid to buy and ship the tablet????? I called PayPal and they said there was nothing they could do as it was the Store Policy and I agreed to that??? Totally floored.
  17. So I spent some time with this aircraft last night 🙂 getting my Spad.NEXT controls all put together. There is no Ident button or LVAR for this. Further I can not find a single SIMCONNECT value that allows you to IDENT either. So I think this is more to do with FSX/P3D not having support for IDENT.....I can't seem to find anything for this.
  18. aeroweather is an app that can give you all of the ATIS information. You can also use FLTPLAN.COM or the FLTPLAN GO app to get all of this data.
  19. Okay so I bought it and the EFIS. Got them delivered in just a few days!! So far I have flown only one flight 🙂 in a 172 HAHAH. It does work with the Default controls so very happy to say that it works with lots of items that the default controls are able to work with!!!
  20. This would be a nice topic to have an answer to. I am also interested in ordering this product but would like that the "default" aircraft AP controls would be supported. That or allow for configuration in the gateway application. With Saitek FIPs it is possible to take the XML files and select from the Standard SIM vars while also editing with the L:vars -- this is how I modified many of the original and the online FIP gauges to be able to report the appropriate data and control the functions of the planes like PMDG or Carenado. If you allowed some kind of simple Config of an XML for which values are to be controlled or tracked then this would make it easy to modify........by the way I use SPAD.NEXT and they have it on the list to implement but that is not on any near time release that we know of. Maybe working with them to gain quick support of this kind of configuration would open the market up better since that would enable support of any aircraft via configurations.
  21. Sorry was travelling. I found that a while back when searching for them. Guess it does not work. The only contact method that actually took place was via Messenger app (facebook). I should have taken a picture of his license plate when I had the chance. That said not sure that would help too much for you.
  22. If I did not have the Saitek TPM from a few years ago I would be looking at these. https://www.desktopaviator.com/Products/Model_2780/index.htm
  23. I have found the Saitek drivers to be crap. I switched to Spad.NEXT a few years ago and it has been awesome.
  24. There are out of Brampton. A C E 18 Upwood Pl Brampton, ON L6R 1T3, Canada Phone: (905) 598-3608 Aircraft Controls Engineering Phone: (905) 598-3608 Name: Haroon Anwar Job Title: Proprietor I had issues my self with a 737 Desktop Yoke and getting it after significant delays. I informed them that I would be filing a Fraud complaint with the Police as per my Friends suggestion -- a Toronto Metro Detective. They responded immediately and shipped me a unit -- it was broken. I met up with them (Ali) in Toronto to exchange the broken part. To be honest I think that they supplied me with a used unit from their desk or "prototype"..... Anyway after a couple of months the Board in it died and they took months and months -- finally no more responses. I was lucky. The controller in them is a Leo Bodnar board and those guys are fantastic and replaced it for me. Still to this day I don't get any information as to where my replacement board is.....HMMMMM???? I have been intending to release a "open box" and then a Review Video about it.....Sounds like I am not the only one having issues with them.
