  1. I was hoping inibuilds would make their own A220 with how fast they are pumping out projects. At least the synaptic A220 has a chance to be released before 2025 now. I wasn't holding my breath they would release it this decade so I think this is great news. And now that it's payware we are going to have to see a model next preview. Enough of the renderings. No more freeware excuses this time
  2. The airline I worked for 10 years ago in the US did advise crew to take seats for landing. Today I routinely fly Delta and Alaska and neither do this. They make an initial descent PA announcement and toggling the seatbelt sign is the audio cue to the crew the aircraft is at 10000 feet and to do their final compliance checks and prepare the cabin for landing, So maybe another option is needed. Alot of us want the passenger and crew aspect but I rather focus on flying the plane. I dont mind doing an announcement at TOD but to do another once we actually start our descent and then another to tell the crew to prepare the cabin for landing and then another to tell the crew to take their seats is just a bit much.... The option is there to tell them via the intercom or PA I cant recall. Which is why I said if he had an actual flight attendant on his staff he wouldn't bother programing this in. I did move the switch in the flight deck to lock several times. This last flight SLC showed the door as red and never got locked. On a previous flight it was showing locked (green in SLC) yet I was still deducted for flying with the door open. Also once again maybe an EU thing but the pilots dont close the door in the US on airliners, the flight attendants do it so while I appreciate another thing to be graded on its not implemented the correct way for US operations so maybe need an option to just turn that off as well
  3. I think as long as the dev remains committed this will only get better but The SLC dev needs to get some flight attendants on his team to make the product better. You would think flight attendants are clueless workers with this product. They dont need pilots to tell them when to arm the doors or when to be seated for landing. Maybe its a EU thing but in the US they already know under 10K feet to get the cabin ready and then to their jumpseats. They also are the ones who normally close the cockpit door before departure and not the pilots which leads me to my issue where I get penalized 1000 points for flying with the cockpit door open despite the door showing green (closed) in SLC and locked in the FBW A32NX. Finally I have had to shelve it very recently as the GSX option doesnt even work anymore. The manual states to middle click the door to swap between options (manual door control, flight attendant control or GSX but the GSX option just isnt available for some odd reason. It still needs some more refining and this is why alot of people like the previous version more as I spent several minutes messing around with this instead of flying the airplane.
  4. I have the same view and just carry on. I get docked points for leaving flaps out after parking at the gate on a hot day even though I'm flying an Airbus A320. I get docked points for speeding after executing a go around because the app thinks I'm still on approach after descending below 2 thousand feet. I descended to 6 thousand on vatsim from an atc instruction and got docked for speeding on approach so the app has a hard time dealing with airports at High elevation. None of this really matters to me as I know I did the correct thing. There is a lot that can be done better but I don't think we will see it with this version or even this product. Even with the schedules, there is a better way to go about it other than clicking regenerate over and over and also make it look more realistic. I don't fly at Virtual Air Canada but their pairing system is what I would expect from a pilot career addon. Flights in order not departing at random times and with layovers....An actual 1, 2, 3 or 4 day trip with how long I want my duty day to be per day. That's what makes this thread all the more comical as I think I've got my moneys worth with APL and I'm fine overall with it but it's really not that hard to brainstorm a better product.
  5. What point are you trying to make? That this was an innocent mistake? I'm telling you it wasn't. If you are actually trying to pass off it was then good luck. You dont have much to say since I called you out so it makes sense the conversation is done in your view.
  6. Are you okay? This is your topic we are all responding on. Why are you acting like you dont know what is going on right now. Your comments on flightsim.to and in that discord show you know exactly what was going on here. You might as well change your youtube channel and come back with a different alias. What a joke. Yeah Im in the APL discord and there has been no mention of it as far as I know but why would there be? There would have been no mention of it here either but thanks to you....
  7. No way. I was in the discord of this addon and this guy was in it praising it. The comments on flightsim.to hes all over it as well. And here is here at avsim trying to promote it. Nothing innocent about it in my opinion.
  8. Why are you replying directly to me? Evidently I'm not the only one that felt the same way Are you braindead? As a user of APL you dont see ANY resemblance? It would be one thing if you downloaded the freeware addon and actually had an organic opinion but you use the same username here, Flightsim.to and both discords....and This is your topic you created at avsim forums and you are wondering why you got kicked out? unreal
  9. Wound up about it just for pointing out the obvious? There's no way you are going to sit here and pretend that it wasn't an 99.9% clone copy of APL just reskinned. And I'm assuming they have since the file is no longer available and the discord is now gone. If the dev really thought they had an original product then it would still be here.
  10. I don't know what you're talking about but this is nothing like having different A320s in the sim. This is literally a copy paste from how the app works all the way to pilot ranks. The guy changed absolutely nothing. You start with a set amount of money to buy licenses to unlock routes just like APL. You are paid in real time just like APL. There is a a 7 day cool down period for new jobs just like APL. There is a supposed amount of luck for landing a job just like APL. The scoring is literally exactly the same. The star rating for various airlines is exactly the same. Anything users complained about in APL the developer still copied right over to this freeware alternative yet the dev is acting like things "under the hood" are drastically different. The dev isn't apart of the APL discord anymore so I'm not sure if he got kicked out or banned from APL or whatever but that might explain why he's doing this. Personally I don't care as I purchased APL so there's no reason for me to use this. Just pointing out the obvious plagiarism.
  11. LOL I mean nothing wrong with creating an app to simulate an airline pilot career but the map UI, the license part, the XP part, airlines with various star ratings..... even the offers only change every 7 days just like A Pilots Life.... JFC yikes. Looks very copy paste. The guy didnt even try to innovate. 🤣
  12. Yup Self Loading Cargo has once again ascended into the lead for the passenger simulation in my opinion. I fly on vatsim so I normally just turn the flight attendant announcements down but I understand the difficulty in making them sound genuine for those who wish to listen to them. I have to commend the attention to detail with SLC. Still hoping he adds families but I noticed an unaccompanied minor on a flight which I have never seen in a passenger addon. I toggle my seatbelt sign at 10K feet and that lets the crew know its okay to get to work. PACX for some reason the crew gets up on their own and im still at 6K feet. I held off with Passenger2 and Im glad I did as it doesnt look like its going the direction I would want in a passenger addon. The lack of customization in particular regarding seatmaps is a big no for me. I also watched a video and the crew blew through service in like 70 seconds. Self Loading Cargo lets you customize that and I have mine set at 13 seconds per passenger. At about 190 passengers that should take about 24 minutes which is more realistic. You cant ask someone what they want to drink or for snacks, Make the beverage and then hand it to them in 1 second.... As for A Pilots Life im not sure why the dev just doesnt allow Senior Captains to pick their own flights and still get paid for it. Its already possible with flight tickets. It doesnt make sense that I wouldnt get paid for flying a route in my own airline. I would then be able to hand create really nice schedules depending on my in real life schedule for the week. Instead of constantly clicking regenerate which isnt anywhere close to realistic pilot life.
  13. Find the ini file and change the sounds values to 0. I believe they are currently set at 1. You can also open up your master volume and just turn it down and it will remain there. You probably can just delete the wav files as well but I would try that as a last resort. It would be nice if the dev just removed those sounds altogether.
  14. Im glad inibuilds is making an A350. I personally dont hyped about renderings as I dont take any of that serious anymore.
  15. There is no configuration options. From the product description: No user input/setup required for the effects to work. All is analyzed automatically
  16. V2 of this product is well worth it. Actually hitting turbulence during cruise at FL340 caused me to have to climb to FL360 to find smooth air. I have been running it along side of FSrealistic and they complement each other as FSrealistic only causes the camera in the flight deck to shake but doesn't do much when looking out the passenger window at the wings to see that coveted wingflex. No longer can you fly with the seatbelt sign off the entire flight. What I was afraid of is the turbulence being random and having nothing to do with real weather conditions. After trialing this for a couple of days It is not random at all. I highly recommend if you are someone who normally flies airliners and are not happy with the current turbulence effect in MSFS.
  17. I've been flying the FBW A32NX more lately compared to the Fenix and really enjoying it.
  18. The developer had a great product back when I used P3D and it really made flights immersive. So to answer your question who is buying turbulence? People who want a more realistic experience other than the predictable turbulence flying over the Rockies into Denver. I remember I flew a through a hurricane once in MSFS and it was smooth as butter. 🙄 FSRealistic is the reason why people think turbulence is fine. I'm on a plane every week in real life and to me There's nothing immersive about stock MSFS turbulence in airliners.
  19. Good find. Ill try it tomorrow as well. I cant say I have noticed much of a difference in V1 so Im looking forward to this. Its nice that its free for those who already purchased before
  20. Mir chimmed in a month ago or so and did say KSFO would release by the end of the year. I never held him to it though because although it came straight from the horses mouth, it wasn't posted anywhere else.
  21. yeah if its something reasonable like 3-4 bucks a month I think im fine with it. I hate subscriptions too but the reality is the downside to single purchase addons there is real history of devs going silent, not updating their product, bad/no support and more. The upside of subscriptions are most that I have subscribed to in my life, Development goes on to improve whatever it is and support is usually pretty good. It almost keeps them honest if you think about it.
  22. the basic free one doesnt sound that bad for a test voice. The premium sounds more like the voice you hear riding a train between terminals at the airport
  23. If that ever happens where the menu quickly closes after you try to open it then find Couatl in the system tray and right click it and then click restart. If that doesn't work then right click it and click quit. Then manually start Couatl again. It is sort of annoying but in the times this happens to me this is what I do and both methods only take 5 seconds to complete.
  24. So that means its not fixed. I dont fly the PMDG. I fly the Fenix and I use Navigraph and this is the only airport that behaves like this. I have reordered the priority before and of course it doesnt fix it for the fenix. Also its ridiculous that customers are being asked to go into developer mode and tweek just to attempt to fix this. Luckily its Las Vegas where its normally clear and sunny to shoot visual approaches. I dont think FlyTampa would get away with this if KLAS had more inclement weather.
