  1. I think its a fun plane but its certainly not up to the standard SWS has shown for the Kodiak and previewed with the PC-12. In fact I think SWS would be somewhat embarrassed to be associated with it in its current state. Taxiing around in it is a pain as the idle thrust is crazy high on it. Even with two of the engines in feather its still much too fast. The AP is quirky. It does some weird things when switching modes. Its clearly not operating the way it should. Alt hold mode is bugged. When I select alt hold it resets the selected altitude to 0 instead of just holding the current altitude. ADF is inop as far as I can tell. The condition levers are a little hard to manipulate for me. I think if you can bind them to an axis they are probably ok But I have to use keys or mouse to move them and they jump around. Its annoying to me that they provide a startup checklist and more than half of the items on the checklist are inop or you can't even operate the switch. I mean if you are including this documentation and follow your own checklist you would very quickly realize this doesn't work. At least let me flip the switch for various tests. On the plus side I like that I can use the TDS GTNxi avionics with it. I think the model is quite good. I hope they continue to improve it. Its far from study level. But if you can forgive the various faults there is a cool little plane under all that. I actually enjoy flying it around. Its been fun hopping around Iceland's various airports. Just know that you are getting an incomplete product. Into the blue has a fair review. They have fixed a number of little things since the review that make it better but it still has problems.
  2. Also make sure all your breakers are in. Breaker for the starter gen may be tripped.
  3. I don't think the Orbx Iceland Mesh is necessary anymore. I disabled it and did quite a bit of flying around and the terrain quality looked really good to me. I also had the STsimulations BIAR Akureyri and I think the ASOBO handcrafted looks as good or better and it adds some interiors to the airport so I disabled the payware version as well.
  4. It was a good overview of the aircraft by a realworld PC12 pilot with 1000+ hours in the aircraft. Startup procedures were demonstrated. I think there was a hotstart followed by dry motoring to clear the engine, cool it down and then a good start. Seemed accurate. They were not willing to give any sort of release date. I thought there were enough little bugs with things like ground handling, some texture issues, and avionics issues that suggested its unlikely to be released before the end of the year. He showed off the stick shaker in a stall demonstration. Its stall characteristics seemed very mild. He mentioned he will give SWS feedback that the stall should be more aggressive. There was a blank model of an EFB in the left Pilot side pocket but it doesn't turn on yet. Won't release with failures though all the circuit breakers work so you could fake some of them. There was a lot to like about it. I'm really encouraged that there are multiple PC12 pilots ensuring an accurate model of the plane and its engine parameters. Lots of work on making sure the numbers are right. Day 1 purchase for me whenever they complete it.
  5. For some strange reason TOGA functionality seems tied to the avionics chosen. If you choose the radio stack it works. Doesn't work for me for TDS GTNxi 750TDS or GNS 530 radios.
  6. Is there a way to activate TOGA mode? It looks like the button is modeled on the throttle but I can't get it to work. Would be great if that was added. It also seems to be INOP on the Blacksquare King Air. Loving both aircraft.
  7. Yes I believe you do. Just go to the content manager in game and do a search for EGLL then uninstall the Asobo version.
  8. Streamdeck + with Lorby's Axis and Ohs is worth considering. I use a Streamdeck XL and then I got some dual concentric rotary controllers https://www.propwashsim.com/store/dual-encoder-kit which I soldered up to an arduino that converts them to keyboard commands which AAOs can read and translate to sim commands. But I didn't have the option of the streamdeck+ then.
  9. I'm thrilled with this addon. An absolute joy to fly. I love the highly interactive, complex, hands on flying it requires.
  10. There are a lot of great profiles done for the stream deck and axis and ohs. Guenseli has done some very good ones for the Kodiak, DC6, CJ4 and others. You can install those and figure out how its done. For me the stream deck with AAO has been a total game changer. Makes sim flying a lot more immersive without having to build a hardware interface. https://flightsim.to/profile/Guenseli
  11. I had the exact same issue Romeo_Tango. On the TDS GTNxi forum there is a sticky on low frame issues. http://www.forum.tdssim.com/thread-210.html You have to add a couple exceptions to windows defender and turn off GPU hardware scheduling. I followed the steps there rebooted and magically my frames became playable. Its a great aircraft made even better by the TDS GTNxi. Note you probably still get a frame drop if you use popout windows.
  12. If you go to general options->accessibility and switch Cockpit interaction system to legacy it should work again.
  13. Fun little aircraft... Its a really different feeling taxiing around 3 inches off the ground at big Bravo airports. Feels like you are driving a go-cart around. I've been flying this around for awhile and was surprised it hasn't gotten more community love. Been intrigued by the real thing since seeing it fly a demo at Oshkosh. Glad you gave it some attention Chock!
  14. Check out this thread in the Lorby forum area. It looks like it will be pretty easy to identify what all the variables are. There's also an example script on how to operate the gust locks. I will eventually get around to building a stream deck config for the DC6 and AAO but hoping someone else gets a template out that I can build off of.
  15. The fixes are all there in Navigraph fppilot. So in your example yes you can't select TOPKE as your IAF but so what? Just select ROC as your IAF, activate the approach and then go direct to TOPKE and you will skip the ROC waypoint. On the CJ4 you can delete ROC and then you will go direct TOPKE.
