  1. This really says all you need to know about why things are as they are.
  2. Knob out (no light), emergency lights armed, passengers are loaded per PMDG interface, you are located within the cabin. All 4 must be true.
  3. The release notes have a grand total of 3 items, 1 of which is Xbox only so I wouldn't get too excited. RELEASE NOTES Sim Update 16 | MSFS 2020 If you are playing on PC, outdated packages in your community folder may have an unexpected impact on the title’s performance and behavior. If you suffer from stability issues or long loading times, move your community package(s) to another folder before relaunching the title. Stability & Performance Improved memory management on Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X to improve stability General Bug Fixes Fixed bugs on Timezone system. In addition, data is now more accurate (country coasts and borders, islands, etc) World Changed the way water bodies polygons work so that overlapping polygons of the same type no longer cancel each other
  4. The answer lies directly in your link. "us.winwing" = US shipping website. Look in the very top right of the page, you'll see it says "Continental United States". Click that text and select "Global Shipping" and it will transfer you to the global shipping site, aka https://winwingsim.com/view/
  5. Overall, very much agreed here. In the 737, ghosting on larger numbers (i.e. MCP, speed and altitude bars on PFD, main engine gauges) is much improved. Very small numbers/gauges can still be a challenge (i.e. QNH preset, minimums), but in an airliner there aren't many like that that you really need to be immediately responsive. I'd say this moves DLSS from previously unusable to now practical. If you have the GPU power then running DLSS with the DLAA setting gives a sharper overall image than TAA for me, less ghosting than DLSS Quality, and looks better overall than anything else.
  6. Be advised, it's sounding like it's going to be a 2 month wait at minimum if you do the pre-order from a regional site.
  7. Buttons and auto respond for me as well. Absolutely no interest in talking to my computer. Just interested in having semi-realistic communications and instructions.
  8. This is a known issue that many people face and the developer has not-quite-but-pretty-much admitted that they have no idea how to fix it. Last communication was on July 18th. This is from the paid version but it's the same dev behind the scenes and the pushback part of it is almost certainly using the same code. At this point I expect it's never really going to get fixed. https://forum.aerosoft.com/index.php?/topic/177844-toolbar-pushback-su15-issues/page/5/#comment-1119763
  9. Seemingly confirmed the secret project is a 747-100? https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/330077-04oct24-so-what-is-going-at-pmdg/page3#post330279
  10. In this latest post he is talking about them working on 777 variants, the 747, an unnamed secret new aircraft project (not the MAX for certain), and 737NG updates. They would be spread incredibly thin to also be actively working the 737MAX. Seems pretty likely they are just conceding first release to iFly on the MAX.
  11. Two possible scenarios, depending on which options you have enabled. 1) A standard transponder panel, which will be located on the center pedestal directly below the fuel cutoff switches (showing 2000 in picture below). Use two knobs in the center to change the number. 2) An FMC looking thing on the center pedestal. If you have this equipped, select the "TUN" button located left of the "1" digit and the squawk code goes underneath "ATC1".

  13. No, and no indications of when it will appear other than "planned".
  14. Click offline mode in the top right of the window, that will disconnect it from the sim. But be warned, when you reconnect it can occasionally phantom activate certain assignments which happens to me on occasion.
  15. Unfortunately that issue still remains. Asobo has been talking about a mythical fix to this issue by masking off the glass cockpit screens from the DLSS effect for something like 2 years now but it has never appeared in an update for reasons unknown. I've pretty much given up hope they're ever going to do it. In a March dev stream they even said they were surprised the fix was never pushed out and would get on it ASAP and yet here we are.
  16. PMDG says they started! Only 2 years to go based on their past couple releases lol.
  17. No, there are separate DLLs for DLSS Super Resolution (the AA method) and DLSS Frame Gen. This is an updated to the Super Resolution DLL, frame gen latest is still 3.7.10 released Jun 13th.
  18. PMDG 737 for MSFS (PC/MP-PC/MP-Xbox): We pushed an update series yesterday that unfortunately do not have clean change logs. These updates are primarily focused on bringing over the stability improvements that we have used in the 777 to tame the dreaded TA/RA freeze, along with a half dozen other freezes that magically appeared in the 737 line after the SU15 update. As with the 777, we know there are still others that are being hunted, and this work continues so expect further updates to follow as well. We have also made some optimizations to the airplane to improve performance and bought in a few small issue fixes, but I don't have a list of them as most of the fixes happened outside of the tracking system during 777 development. (We found problems in our core code during 777 development so those fixes then get brought into 737 at the same time in order to solve the problem globally... unfortunately that data didn't get tracked well...so... no change list. ) The Marketplace updates for the current batch of changes have been pushed today, and we anticipate it will take appx 2 weeks for them to work their way through the Marketplace digestive system. We expect more 737 updates as we continue to squash 777 issues- and eventually (next couple of months) we will also begin back-porting some of the major structural changes from 777 back to the 737. These will include the new navdata format, updated lateral path solving, updated autopilot roll modes, updated tablet, bug/feature fixes and more. I realize that many developers would re-bundle these changes to a two year old product as 2.0 and hold out the collection plate- but we still don't consider the 737 to be a "complete" airplane. From our vantage point we still have not cleared the last hurdles that will allow us to end the "early adopter" period for the 737, as we haven't finished our deliverables timeline on that airplane, because we transferred development of some of the key features over to 777, figuring we'd back-port them to 737 when 777 is completed. That process will happen over the next few months... so fun times ahead for 737 owners as we bring in new features to keep the airplane looking and feeling fresh and current. Since a few will ask: No, I have no information that I am prepared to share regarding Max. When I do, I will.
  19. https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/320436-18jul24-big-week-updates-for-all-msfs-product-lines-stuff-going-to-marketplace-things-are-busy-at-pmdg PMDG 777-300ER for MSFS: This update cycle is again focused on stability and performance improvements based upon some of the usage information we are getting from customer in the feedback process. We anticipate continuing to work on these issues for a while as we aren't yet convinced we have squashed all potential problems unveiled with SU15's release. For the time being we anticipate pushing weekly updates for 77W, as we are working through various buglets, bugs and features to expand your 777 user experience. Included in this new build are a couple of items that we wanted to get finished in order to ease the Navigraph Navdata update process for PC users as well as for Xbox customers: You can now update your navdata (provided you have a Navigraph subscription) via the Universal Flight Tablet. This will make things seamless right from within the flight deck of your 777. We have also added QR codes on a page within the tablet that will take you directly to documentation for the 777. We chose this route in order to highlight the ongoing growth of the 777 documentation online where it is accessible to both PC and Xbox users equally, with the added benefit that you can open it on your phone or tablet to have nearby while you fly- and it also allows Xbox users to have access to the documentation simply, since the Xbox doesn't allow you to go plumbing around in the directory structure. One other significant fix in this build is that we have fixed a problem in the tablet that was causing a collision with the windows long-file-name limitations. That was hampering some users and has now been addressed for nearly all users. If you have an exceptionally long name for your PC you might still run afoul of the long file name problem- but we hope that this won't affect many users after this build iteration. The change list for the rest of the stuff we touched is as follows: PMDG 777 for MSFS - 2.00.0039 Released 2024-07-18 14434: [FMS/AFDS - VNAV] ALTN Page rapid and modulated update scheme with frame rate OPT (emvaos) 14455: [FMS/AFDS - LNAV] RTE offset entry bank limit reduction (emvaos) 14483: [External Model - Liveries] Incorrect SELCAL code displayed on G-STBC (psterling) 14526: [FMS - Functionality Problems (General)] Updated forced turn direction algorithm for HDG SEL mode (emvaos) 14551: [Virtual Cockpit - Geometry/Textures] Gap between PFD and ND (vscimone) 14552: [FMS/AFDS - LNAV] Handling arc intercept via TF waypoint on arc [TNCC/11 AMIPU1] (emvaos) 14566: [FMS/AFDS - VNAV] CLB SPD Limit Handling (emvaos) 14567: [External Model - Liveries] BA Livery - Incorrect spelling of the Callsign in the aircraft.cfg file (psterling) 14318: [Sounds - Internal/Cockpit] A/P disconnect with 2 Press UNSILENCED not responding correctly. It is a dual release for both PC and Xbox users. We anticipate that it may take 2-4 weeks before the airplane is available, but obviously if it happens more quickly we will be happy to see all of our marketplace customers joining the fleet. We will keep you advised as to what we know, whenever we know it. PMDG 777F for MSFS: The 777F is currently the development focus for the team, and we are in the process of setting it's "go-to-beta" date. We'll let you know when it actually enters beta testing, and we anticipate that it will be a pretty quick test process. We are also evaluating whether we will push the 77L or 777-200ER after the 77F... We'll let you know once a decision has been rendered.
  20. Not implemented currently, but they have stated they do plan on bring it back at some point.
  21. Definitely a huge change in the sounds. The "grumble" has arrived on takeoff roll. I personally wasn't really hearing the high pitch sound this time around but I only did a quick test at the gate. Don't have time for a real flight right now but interested to see how they sound on approach too where it was really bad before. As for the sound engineer, this gentlemen was credited in the 777 manual on initial release so he's been around for a while. Possibly one of the "new hires" from last year? Seems the old guy is still around as well as he is also credited.
  22. For me, I am running DX12, native frame gen, and at 4k which is like the triple whammy of "will destroy your VRAM", and even then the texture patch that was offered solved my problems. I think in most cases you will probably be fine, highly recommend purchasing and trying if you are thinking about it.

  24. Fixed some freezes and crashes - that's really all we know. No real patch notes.
