Bluebird Simulations 757 Update

Featured Replies

I hadn't seen this posted yet in the forum.

Looks like the release date has slid out to 2025 for the B757. A short update from the BBS Team:

The expectation is certainly being set very high for this release...I'm really, really hoping they knock this one out of the park when it does finally arrive! (Selfishly, I'd really love to have a quality B767 in the sim before Boeing finally cancels it's production run of the freighter!)

  • I’ve kinda moved to neutral opinion with this group. They keep moving goalposts. I will say though that this is probably understandable considering they have to program for ms2024 compatibility since

  • The fact that when they release it in 2025 which I don’t think will be until at least summer, they are releasing it for FS2020. By then everyone will be in FS2024. This is not a brilliant strategy at

  • didn't these guys announce a 787 in the fs expo this summer also having the 767 on the roadmap I guess we gonna get the 787  in msfs 2032 lol

They did provide every warning this was going to happen back over the summer, so I’m not disappointed. They’re taking it seriously which is a good sign - can’t say that’s universal.

I’ve kinda moved to neutral opinion with this group. They keep moving goalposts. I will say though that this is probably understandable considering they have to program for ms2024 compatibility since they missed the 2020 window. Additionally I probably would be even more disappointed if they pushed to market their product systems incomplete so I’ll just have a seat and go back to waiting I guess.

This isn’t a rant about wanting a product now but at some point screenshots only go so far to keep people’s interest.

Like any topic, their “updates” are going to just get buried under more relevant conversations & content.  I have a feeling that by early next year any threads on FS2000 will land up on page 2 or 3 only after a few hours.  And when that happens, the topic is pretty much dead.

I appreciate their attention to detail (& love the 757) but it may be already too late.

Feature creep for sure. Idk I could care less if the Air conditioning in the economy cabin was simulated lol

Too late for what? Who else is making a 757 for 2020 or 2024? Please let me know. Also what about the FBW A380. If FBW doesn't release before FS2024 releases is it then too late? Im not buying that.

Well thats you, not me.  There's enough mediocre stuff out there, its the details like that which will get me buying these days.  Im happy to pass on the average stuff, the pmdg and fenix birds keep my plenty busy.

Fair enough!

It’s a let down for me but only one out of anticipation of the jet. I’m very excited for this and am willing to wait.

however, for all the waiting and saying they want to get it right the first time. For their sake, it better be amazing or they risk losing credibility after their first release. Based off what I’ve seen though, I’m not worried about the quality not being top notch.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

At this point Bluebird or whomever should be quiet about their addon(s) (like FSLabs) and just release something when its ready and stop with the hyperbole getting some people excited and more people nauseous with these teasers. Enough already.

Yeah, it's getting a bit long in the tooth now. didn't PMDG mention there may be a B757 on the books ?, or was it never confirmed.

MSFS 2024 isn't the reason for the delay. They say in the video that they will finish and release the 2020 version first, then work on 2024 compatibility.

Yeah, it feels like ages since I've seen a thread on FS 2000. 😉

Yes I’m aware of what they said. Good luck to them with that plan.

They may as well revise that assessment as well and test/aim for cross  compatibility asap.

im not going to buy something to force me to keep flying the older sim when the focus is to move everything over as quickly as possible. They missed their window.
